Pret a Manger in Bournemouth

Pret has always been the go to for a coffee after a long train journey to Waterloo but sadly the whole place is now looking grubby. I also visited their cafe opposite Cannon St station and had the worst cup of tea ever. Come on Pret invest some money in your cafe’s and clean them up!

Awful coffee, very weak, grey in colour. Ordered a cappuccino, worst one I have ever had. £3.80 for something that was tasteless. Used to go regularly, won’t be going again. Plenty of other places to have a decent coffee in Bournemouth.

Whilst visiting the store today I had a hot chocolate which was awful and a feeling peachy which the server put so much ice in I had to ask her to remove some so I could put more water in it. The server was rude to me about it and this is not the first time.

I know homeless people haven't got anywhere to go but not good hanging around in Pret a Manager with there sleeping bag sat there for hours with one cup of tea or coffee unhygienic and the food is too expensive ordered a bacon and egg brioche, a small porridge and a black coffee the bill came to £11 it doesn't fill you up anyway the bit I don't like is people spend a lot of money in Pret a manager commuting to work then at the end of the day they give all the sandwiches to the homeless 🤔 people work hard and are paying good money for the sandwiches and then the people who don't work get freebies 🙄 makes no sense

Sit in to drink a coffee and you get disposal cups because they 'don't do china' at this store anymore. Meanwhile the signs on the wall say about their sustainability. I'm sure if the girl making the coffee could have told us to f off for having the audacity of ordinary a drink she would have, saying she was exceptionally rude would be kind. Worst pret experience I have ever had.

We had lunch here and it was very lovely. It has a clam atmosphere and is very clean with average prices. The drinks are good and the food is wonderful.

I’ve already declared my fondness for this ethical 4 green star chain. I trust them to behave in proper ways, I suppose what I would call my M&S test - always reliable, always quality goods and will always do the right thing for customers who make paydays. You’ll not find genetically modified foods here. It was a lunchtime visit ostensibly for cappuccino coffees but they do make the most wonderful rubbish free soups. We’d been in the day before for coffee and it was Thai soup but I didn’t bite (pun intended). On this our second visit it was a delicious spicy chicken and veggies at £3.99. It was so filling and tasty. The food here is made in small batches and replenished as the day progresses ensuring freshness and minimising waste. We both had very tasty cappuccino too. The staff were a friendly bunch team - working to hasten service. The seating is comfy and the ambiance pleasant. As it was lunchtime it was steadily busy and all ran smoothly. The toilets have a lock for customers only.

Pret is near the centre of town. Deceptively large! There was no queue. Efficient service albeit as chilly as the peach cooler. Price apx £3.85. Fab and comfortable seating. Would return.

I used to love getting my lunch from a Pret a Manger in Manchester City centre when I worked full time. I’m now in Bournemouth working part time and was happy to find a Pret in the town centre. I fully understand understand the cost of living crisis and the madness in the world at the moment but if I am to pay £3.50 for a coffee I want it in a proper cup not a take away cardboard pot with a plastic lid. Apparently this is Pret policy since covid which I find hard to believe. There are loads of cafes in Bournemouth where you will pay less for your food and drink and be given a cup or a mug. Sadly Pret are likely to lose many customers over this. The place was quite empty when I visited. I won’t be going back.

The food and coffee is amazing, but the cleanliness of the store (in fact most Prets) always lets it down. The toilets are always DISGUSTING! Why can’t Prets employ a full time cleaner to keep the unisex toilets cleaned throughout the store opening hours? Visited today (Boxing Day) and the first cubicle had explosive diarrhoea up the seat lid that was DRIED so had obviously been there for some time. The second cubicle had an overflowing sanitary bin. There is just no excuse for this. Prets food and drink is premium priced so basic facilities should be a given.

Lovely coffee but the unisex toilets were filthy . Disabled toilet being used even though it said out if order. Toilets need code from staff to enter . If the staff are using the same facilities you wouldn't want them serving your drinks or food

Visited on Wed 30th at 8.45am for a coffee to take away greeted by Alison who wished me good morning with a very friendly smile. I asked do you have a cortado? Hearing that you didn't i said ill have a sm cappuccino - which is a lot larger. immediately the server explained and showed me smaller sizes available for a flat white. Which i said would be great as i had an interview in 10 minutes. To which Alison then asked me would i like it a little cooler so i could drink/finish it in time. Impeccable service, albeit very simple but a masterclass in listening and using initiative to meet the customers needs. Thank you.

I spent 10 days in Bournemouth on a holiday/work trip. The coffee was always great but must noticeably, a male member of staff who I presume was the manager, was always so friendly. He constantly went out of his way to make conversation, smile and ask about our day. It had a real positive impact on my trip and therefore would recommend this Pret.

Had coffee and lunch here whilst staying in Bournemouth and I have to say it was the biggest and best Pret I have visited. Good choice of sandwiches & hot choices, plenty of seating to chose from and excellent service. Tables were cleaned promptly and properly and the place is kept very clean. Also visited the toilets which were also very well kept.

The toilets were very smelly and not very clean Food was good as usual Shame about the toilets It was not particularly busy so I see no reason why the toilets should be inthe condition they were in

Visited at a pretty quiet point in the day (ie not at lunchtime when I would expect things to be a bit more stretched) guy who took my order was v polite and helpful. But I was shocked at how incredibly rude the rest of the staff were. There were no children’s drinks left they I had to buy a normal orange juice an water it down. I was told there was a tap I could use, when I found it there was a catering pot underneath catching drips (it was nearly full) so I doubled checked it was ok to use with a member of staff who literally rolled her eyes at me as if I was stupid and walked off. I was waiting for a hot drink, it wasn’t that busy but the two ladies making and serving the drinks were shouting out orders, over the top of each other, which was causing confusion. When mine was called I stepped up and found there was a backlog of drinks waiting all in identical cups so I double checked with the lady which was mine, she actually tutted as she pointed! Drinks were fine, when I came to leave my 5 year old decided he wanted the toilet, there is a coded lock on it, so I go back to the counter to find out the code, the lady I asks says ‘I don’t know’ and then made precisely no effort to even bother to find out for me. Luckily as I went back to my child to explain the situation another customer took pity on me and told me what it was. Place was just about clean, drinks were just about fine but the staff are rude and unhelpful. Not that they care, it’s in a tourist location so probably figure they don’t need to make an effort when it comes to making customers happy.

I've started going into pret quite a bit because of their subscription service. Their customer service is always fantastic- particularly the man with long curly hair. He is always smiley and friendly!

Would never use again, waiting 30 minutes for a take away smoothie, people who had been served after me got there drinks. Smoothie wasn’t worth the wait in the end

I visited this store today whilst in the area, but found it a very disappointing experience & wished I'd of gone somewhere else! Firstly the choice of sandwiches were very limited for 11am, the tables were dirty with nobody clearing them, the queues were in complete disarray as having never been there before & by paying by card I got in the card, NOT cash queue when suddenly I saw the young man server staring at me & pointing to put my sandwich down over at the cash payment window, I couldn't hear anything he was saying all 3 times he spoke softly, I had to resort to putting my face almost in the hatch every time! After taking my payment he pointed to walk to the far end, which I did knowing now that I jumped the queue to try & collect a flat white which the young lady clearly called out, NOT realizing that two other people were before me who ordered the same drink, one being VERY vocal about it, I wasn't given any serviettes or spoon for my drink, by this time people were coming in hogging the tables first without even ordering anything yet, lucky for me somebody was just getting up to leave, so I sat at their dirty table & sipped my flat white, very like warm milk, goodness knows where the coffee was, so weak & revolting to taste, I then opened my Classic Super Club sandwich but I didn't taste any beech smoked bacon, I just had a mouthful of raw fatty rind, overpriced & very underwhelming, their branch at Waterloo station would put them to shame!!

Todos sabemos lo que se ofrece en Pret, pero el personal de esta sucursal del centro de la ciudad es excelente. Está ocupado pero además de observar el distanciamiento social y la salud y seguridad, son amables y eficientes. Fuimos a desayunar tres mañanas y quedamos muy satisfechos en cada visita. Incluso los baños estaban limpios, lo que no siempre es el caso en Pret.

Pret is normally my go to coffee shop. This particular branch has to be the worst I have visited!I visited at 6pm on a Wednesday evening and ordered a flat white, after paying, the man behind the counter said he could only do it in a takeaway cup, I said I’d prefer a china cup and he said he couldn’t do it as the dishwasher was broken. These things happen, however he had 2 trays full of clean mugs that he could have used, he blatantly refused to do so because he said he could not wash the cup after. I said I’d really appreciate a china cup, he was quite rude and adamant that I could not have one. Really....... how ridiculous when I’m stood there staring at a load of clean cups! If I was told this before paying I would have gone elsewhere. Pret..... this is the first time I’ve ever been disappointed by one of your coffee shops, perhaps a littlemore customer service training is needed here!

El peor servicio que he tenido después de esperar 20 minutos para pagar y pedir café, nos dijeron que nos uniéramos a otra larga cola. ¿Por qué? Porque nos unimos a la cola incorrecta aunque no hay forma de saber qué cola. Cuando protesté porque mi comida se estaba enfriando por minutos. Me informaron que no tomaba dinero parado al lado de la caja registradora. Las colas eran largas, ya que nadie parecía saber lo que estaban haciendo. Otra señora había esperado 20 minutos mientras le servían el café tibio. Esto fue el 7 de marzo. Solo quería un desayuno saludable. Nunca volveremos! !

Este Pret está situado justo al lado de la plaza y es agradable y céntrico.El edificio es enorme y se remonta mucho.Hay dos huecos en la parte delantera donde puedes sentarte junto a la ventana, lo cual es genial si te gusta observar a la gente.Es mejor encontrar una mesa primero y luego elegir la comida del gabinete. Ofrecen una gran variedad de sándwiches, baguettes rellenas, sopa, panecillos calientes con tocino, así como patatas fritas, pasteles y frutas. Las bebidas frías están disponibles en un gabinete enfriador.Una vez que haya elegido su comida, vaya al mostrador para pedir sus bebidas y pagar. Las bebidas se hacen mientras espera y se entregan al final del mostrador.También en el mostrador tienen más pasteles y cruasanes.Los baños están en la parte trasera de la tienda y son unisex. Encontré que los baños estaban limpios y ordenados.Los precios son razonables y es importante recordar que este es un negocio ético que dona los alimentos que quedan al final del día a las personas sin hogar. Esto es bueno para todos y garantiza que esté comprando alimentos recién hechos.

The atmosphere is really nice I usually come here to study or have a relaxing time taking a coffee, The staff service is amazing in special to mention Susana, who I wanted to thank for her attention and kindness with me.

Yesterday I had the best latte ever. I have many food restrictions and Pret A Manger is usually my place to go with my friends. Susana (the barista) made me a soy milk decaf latte like nowhere else. Perfect proportions. Thank you, Susana!

He visto varias ramas de Pret en todo el país, principalmente en Londres y sus alrededores, y esta no es tan diferente. Ofrecen una gran variedad de alimentos y bebidas frías y calientes con un rango mejor que el promedio libre de gluten, servido por un personal amable y accesible. Siempre se puede confiar en que el café hará su trabajo cuando necesite esa dosis de cafeína.

Primera visita a un Pret. Tenía reservas debido a toda la publicidad. Aligeramiento aburrido. Elección limitada de sándwiches. Galletas y barras abundantes @ 1. 50 Café cremoso pero caro y una taza de té caro. Servidor educado y amable. Las mesas necesitaban ser limpiadas y limpiadas. No tendría prisa por volver.

Shop was clean and service was nice and friendly. Selection could have been better, but since it was almost closing time I totally understand. Bathroom was suprisingly clean for a hot, busy day in Bournemouth.

Pret is always a safe bet for a quick and satisfying lunch. I recommend the hoisin duck wrap or the Mac and cheese if it’s cold out!

I want to congratulate the team at Pret in BOURNEMOUTH, for their friendliness. I also think it should be said how clean and tidy it is compared to the disgustingly messy places such as Starbucks, Nero, or Costa!!!Well done, keep up the great work! Thanks

As ever with Pret, the service is quick and the food and drink are to a consistent and good standard.

We entered at 11:25 on a Wednesday looking for a snack before a 12:30 film. I accept that this is more a coffee shop than one of those fast food establishments who stop serving breakfast at 10:30, but here we found yogurt compote and porridge but no soup. Having tasted the soups from here before and found them to be very good we were naturally disappointed. However the tuna and cucumber sandwich and the coffee were very good.

The layout and décor is very welcoming, with lots of comfy seating areas. Staff were very friendly. Great flat white and Americano, blueberry muffins are tasty too..

Enjoyed a quick lunch here - excellent location in town centre. Food freshly prepared, and staff very helpful. Usual Pret A Manger standard of food and service.

Have visited 4 times because I love their decaf coffees. They do a 2 shot decaf black americano which is full flavoured and delicious. Staff always helpful and efficient. All their food is fresh and delicious. Good value considering it's always wonderful. Cakes are delicious too. Its my go-to cafe.
