We attended a family wedding here…… Wow !! It was simply amazing. The TiPi and grounds were decorated beautifully. The staff were so hard working and accommodating. And the food and drink….. to die for! Delicious sandwiches, homemade cakes and scones, lemon posset ….. heaven. If you are looking for a pretty, unusual venue for a special celebration look no further. Thank you for a great day x

Lovely Mothers Day Afternoon Tea with the family in the pretty decorated “Tipi” - atmosphere was just right; staff were lovely and friendly and the food was all fresh, tasty and plentiful - definitely will try other experiences here and looks like a well stocked shop and Nurseries too

This is one of my local plant nurseries and the plants are of excellent quality albeit pricey compared to the competition. I had lunch in the Tipi today, the first time I’ve eaten there. The food was ok, my drink was cold, the staff very welcoming and friendly. However, my main gripe was the toilet. It was awful. Although the toilet pan was clean the floor was not, the mat was soaking wet and smelt, the hand towels ripped when trying to remove them from the holder. However the worst was the toilet shed, rotten, uncomfortable, the door didn’t fit and it’s not an experience I would want to repeat. I would recommend that as this nursery is growing with what they offer perhaps they should invest in decent toilets.

The Garden Tipi at Prestin Bisset Nursery is my new favourite coffee hideout. The coffee shop is set inside a giant Tipi in the gardens. Be prepared to be amazed when you step through the rustic wooden doors and find yourself in a warm, cosy tent-like structure. Glowing patio heaters, wooden floors, oversized bowls of flowers, strings of fairylights, and soft seating piled with fluffy cushions and throws, give it an inviting ambience. 10/10 They offer a reasonable variety of cakes. 5/10. I visited two days in a row with different friends. We had the Black Forest Cherry Hot Chocolate, which was delicious. All I would say is that the hot drinks are not hot. 1/10 They are lukewarm, bordering on tepid, so be sure to ask for a heated cup or at least check when they deliver your drink, that it is hot enough for you. You can sit at tables and chairs or sink down into a squishy sofa. Even when it's busy, it doesn't feel cramped. 10/10

It's just perfect here. A friendly, lovely, cosy, happy place to visit. My friend and I visit most weeks (with our fluffy companions!) for coffee, cakes, a natter and a wander around the nursey. The gift shop is so nice with a great range of classy and tempting items, and the plants in the nursery are varied and superb quality. We always get a lovely welcome and just can't fault anything. Keep on doing what you're doing, and such a big thank you from us xx

The food and drink at the Tipi Cafe was excellent. The vegetarian sausage roll (curried potato and paneer filling) was the best I’ve ever had. The flavours were perfectly balanced and utterly delicious. In addition, the carrot cake with cardamom was so tasty and not dry at all. Overall, an excellent place to eat.

Dreadful food, rubbish staff. Save your money, eat somewhere else. It’s really not worth it!!! Food from the yurt was awful, and they charge a fortune for it. So pretentious! Bacon with an egg on thick crusty white bread arrived as wet scrambled egg on thin toasted (cold) white bread that had gone totally soggy with two pieces of bacon on top. Horrific! Raspberry and white chocolate blondie arrived without any raspberries, and two small chunks of white chocolate. They take payment before you see your food so you’re screwed! £17 for the above including a tin of fizzy apple water, and they don’t care as they’ve got your money. I only came to buy 12 Laurel bushes… decided to have a spot of lunch…. decided they weren’t getting any more money from me. Ripping people off left, right and Center for the quality of food provided. If you charge ‘good money’ the food should reflect this!! They need Gordon Ramsey to sort them out!!!

What a great find!!! We stopped for tea and cake on our way to the Cotswolds. The staff were so friendly and helped us enjoy the bday celebrations! Steve (the events manager) laid a table for us - nothing was too much trouble. The cake was delicious!! The Nursery is set out in little areas. We loved it and will definitely return - Thank you Team!! X

Loved the tipi cafe with relaxed seating areas. Great atmosphere with friendly staff. Super garden centre with a colourful display of plants which was stunning. Great little gift shop. A bit off the beaten track but well worth the effort.

Went around 14:30 - after lunch time: Coffee nothing special at £3:00 a cup - delivered / served by an, who appeared, a very 'unhappy' Barista. Ordered : Scrambled eggs with toast : not successful imo. Very wet scrambled eggs put on top of toast resulted in soaked toast and just left the crust around the edges in a palatable state. Nice ambience otherwise but wouldn't call it quality / value for money. Garden centre excellent!!! But I wouldn't go out of my way for the Café. Disappointing

Very nice small garden centre. Lots of reasonably-priced healthy plants for sale. The shop has some very nice quality items, premium quality also of course with a higher price. The tipi cafe is a real show-stopper and the food was nice. The scrambled eggs were served on bread which went soggy and would have benefited from a light toasting before being served to avoid the sogginess. Unlike other reviewers we didn’t wait ages to be served and our food and drinks were hot. Overall it is a lovely place with friendly staff.

The location and attention is detail is stunning, we just clearly came on a bad day. I work in catering so understand completely how a bad day unfolds but it wasn't the lukewarm tea, or the so-so scrambled egg that bothered us, it was the complete lack of care from the staff. It took 25 minutes after ordering to be told that what we had ordered was not available and when, after waiting for 45 minutes for our food with very hungry children I went to politely ask when our food would be coming, I was met with hostility. Everyone has a bad day; this is clearly an excellent venue and cafe, and the teepee looks outstanding, but a little customer service goes a very long way.

We went to the trendy Tipi for refreshments but were kept waiting ages for bland lukewarm drinks. Very limited choice. Better to spend your money elsewhere!

We decided to try out this wonderful place not really knowing what to expect and were completely blown away. Fantastic variety of plants, gorgeous homeware, the staff are so incredibly friendly and there is even a cat who we haven't managed to spot yet but we will be back!! The Tipi tearoom is beyond wonderful and is so relaxing. Definitely worth at least one visit, I recommend numerous!

Whilst only a tiny selection of choice on offer it was mighty fine and the Tipi ambience is so much better than the big garden centres. We loved it.

I’m lucky enough to live within 20 minutes of this lovely nursery and it’s one of my favourite places to visit. I love taking friends here, particularly to the new garden tepi which serves amazing food 😋 The garden centre has an amazing array of plants and Peter and his staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The shop is incredible, upmarket but reasonably priced with brands such as Nkuku and lb Laursen. I can always find something lovely to buy for a gift, if I’m not tempted to keep it for myself!

I gave this beautiful little nursery and country store five stars before, so left myself nowhere to go as regards rating. However, apparently perfection can sometimes be improved upon! Since my last visit, the nursery has clearly been doing well, as they have made some improvements and additions. Firstly, the car park is now neatly tarmacked and, without increasing in size, is better organised so as to maximise capacity. The wonderful range of beautiful plants remains as good as previously, whilst the gift area has expanded a little, now utilising the area previously used as the coffee shop. There are more items to browse now but they have maintained the very high quality of the gifts. The coffee room has been replaced by a tipi café, located at the far end of the outdoor plants section. This spacious but cosy tented area is absolutely beautifully presented and a pleasure to spend time in. There is a selection of snack food such as pies, sausage rolls, pastries, soup, cakes etc. I had a refreshing cup of English breakfast tea, along with a savoury tartlet (cheese, ham and caramelised onion), a pork and apple sausage roll and a piece of parsnip and chestnut cake. All absolutely top-notch and delicious, with the tartlet the definite star of the show. The café also sells a small selection of luxury food items of the kind that would make great gifts or party food. Service is very friendly and welcoming and prices reasonable. So, all in all, I thoroughly approve of the improvements at Preston Bisset. Vitally, they have managed to expand and upgrade without losing any of the character that made the nursery so appealing in the first place. A neat balancing act. I hope they will be careful to maintain that ethos as they continue to prosper.

'Hidden Gem' is a Tripadvisor cliche but, just occasionally, it is truly deserved. For example, Preston Bissett Nursery and Country Shop. Compared to a Frost's or a Wyvale, it's a small, unassuming place, tucked away in a little known village, close to Buckingham. But it's...

I popped in first thing in the morning, ordered a bacon sandwich and cappuccino. Both were superb! The granary bread was really fresh, lots of bacon and plenty of sauce on the side for me to put on! The coffee also was great! The cakes on display all looked amazing feel like I must return to try a slice, although think it would take me a while to decide as all looked so tempting!
