Stayed here a few times. Staff very friendly. The building outside is looking a bit tired and paths and carpark could do with a clean. A few huge holes in the car park need filling as very deep. Regular free WiFi is rubbish but you can upgrade your WiFi at an extra charge but for what you pay for your room this is a bit expensive. If staying a few nights you have to request at reception if you require room service.

Stayed here for 3 nights on a business trip, attending a course nearby. The room is as you'd expect for a Premier Inn, with more sockets than usual, and was very clean with a comfy bed. However, it's the other bits that let it down - the car park was a bit of a mess with leaves all over and loads of potholes. Also, the restuarant is a bit strange, as it's half closed with not much space in the open bit. No cooked breakfast buffer - only continental, with the cooked breakfast cooked to order. The Wi-Fi was very unreliable when I stayed - would constantly drop out, and the 4G signal isn't great in the area either, so bear this in mind if you want to get some work done etc.

Room is ok and the premier standard, tidy roomy and a desk to do a little work from, although seen better days though. The Resturant is a different, can’t seem to handle any more than 10 people at a time, you can go in at six and be told there is no availability till gone eight, service is not good. Very limited for drinks, if it’s not in a bottle or can, not available, took over thirty minutes to get served a drink and an hour for food when there was 12 people eating. Waited over twenty minutes to check in to the hotel, staff working in the restaurant. Would not want to stay at this premier inn again. Woeful experience, never again.

Premier Inn. it's loosing sparkle I have stayed at this location a few times this year now. Each time the place seems to loose more of its sparkle as the demise of the premier inn brand continues. First visit I was greeted by a very rude gentleman in what was the Brewers Fayre restaurant. Unknown at the time he was probably about to loose his job as they mothball all there restaurants. The place was semi busy with basic food offering. Room ok on the ground floor in the newer outside section of the hotel. Second visit stayed same part of the hotel again ok. Restaurant had now been mothballed to the public and vast sections closed off or with a "reserved" sign placed on top of tables. At the evening meal the place was dead. However they have many items on the menu not available as they are out of stock? Breakfast was busy. We was told to find a seat and help ourselves to the continental option and would be over to order cooked breakfast option. With no tables available in the now small sectioned off area. We chose to sit at one of the reserved tables as these are the only ones available. Tried to select continental option however most stuff was empty. Coffee machine out of order with hot water and sachets set for a replacement. We waited and waited knowing the guy was probably busy trying to stock up everything. Restaurant started to empty so I went over and said we are ready to order. Sharply he said "I'm not aloud to take orders of there. You need to move" - we moved however I did point out there was no tables when we sat down. Third visit I stayed upstairs in the older part of the hotel. You can hear next door and I'm sure they can hear me. Walking the floor boards squeak, I can hear the TV. The shower head is a dribble due to them using a energy efficient head with gravity fed water. Either the pump in the hotel has failed or they need to replace the head with one that works with the water pressure. Unscrewing the shower head and removing made the difference. Restaurant now really feels like you are moving house. Tables that got us into trouble last time have been removed to leave a vast open space. Evening meal was fast and efficient however the atmosphere is uncomfortable with deathly silence with two other people awkwardly eating food also in silence. I didn't bother with breakfast this time. I think you have let the side down badly with your onsite restaurants over the years. You have focussed to much on filling rooms and not looking after them keeping them up-to-date and the food exciting. I think back 10 years ago when you would have the chefs counter within Brewers Fayre and all you can eat Fish N Chip Fridays. The places then was heaving. Like me skipping breakfast people have stopped returning each time they have a bad experience. I will think again before booking. You need to throw some money at the Amazing building. Get the community pub and restaurant back into service. Mothballing that facility is a mistake. The car park was full so where is everyone. Clearly no longer using the Pub/ restaurant and sat in there rooms miserable waiting to go home the next morning.

No fault with the room or the service received but the breakfast was something else...... Not a normal buffet style had to order it and when it arrived most of it was cold hash browns were barely cooked black pudding was stodgy. I paid 22 pounds for 2 breakfasts could of got better in a local greasy spoon!

Stay here for a week, while working in the area. The place is understaffed and the staff that are there are not very helpful, everything too much hassle. Don’t use the restaurant as they can only cater for 4 people at a time in a 100 seater Restaurant.

Stayed here for a week for work. The room itself was clean enough, can’t complain. The hotel looks a bit old and tired. My work had booked the ‘meal deal’ for the week. I’m working in the area, I’d just like to come back, have a shower, have some dinner and chill out. Every night I was there I was told they are really busy at the restaurant and I have to book. One evening I was trying to order food at 6pm and I was told I couldn’t order until 8pm, I was in the restaurant and there were literally 3 people in there. It’s not on seeing as the food is pre booked and paid for, there’s seating for about 100 people, if they can’t cater to 4 diners at a time they shouldn’t be selling people packages that include food! Every evening I was there, there was never more than 6 people in the restaurant. Everything is too much hassle for them, there’s a really dull atmosphere to the place. Food is poor quality, wait an hour and out comes a lukewarm microwave meal, save your money and dine elsewhere.

Wouldn't stay here again, the place looks run down and the rooms are nowhere near as good as other premier inns we have stayed. It is advertised as having WIFI but this didnt work at all and theres no signal for mobile data. It was quiet though and the lady on reception was lovely. Would strong advise people to avoid the restaurant, we went & asked for a table and were told we couldn't have one because we hadn't booked (place was empty) we walked back to hotel reception and she booked us a table so we went back round. Waited 15mins for our drinks which were two bottles so didn't even need prepared. Waited around 30mins for food which came and wasn't even cooked properly. The pizza was still like dough, not cooked at all, the katsu chips were cold, we refused to eat it and pay for it as it was that bad, we also cancelled our breakfast that we had pre booked for the next day. I never look at reviews for premier inn as I've never had a problem but I will from now on, it seems lots of others have had the same experience here. Couldn't wait to check out!

Bless em the staff were really upagainst it and it showed , ordered 3 meals and pizza and lasagne were 2 which weren't available.... there were hardly any beers on draught and not even any WiFi. The staff were clearly under pressure but when you know they are ignoring you as they don't want to know if you want puddings it does grind a tad especially with an adhd child on his birthday who's already been told he can't have his favourite....the pizza . I lay the blame firmly at the feet of the management and I don't mean of that particular hotel ..... just expecting the staff to cope isn't good enough when they haven't got the basics .... Room was clean and tidy as usual but knowing 2 adults and a child were booked in there were still just 2 cups and 2 glasses and some hot chocolate would have been nice for the child

Basic Premier inn that does what it says on the tin. HOWEVER !!!!....what I don`t appreciate is left wing political posturing rammed down my throat with fascistic pride flags at reception and in the pub....YOU ARE THERE TO SUPPLY A SERVICE FOR BED AND BREAKFAST.....NOT TO DECORATE YOUR ESTABLISHMENT IN MARXIST PROPAGANDA AND I WILL CONTINUE TO GIVE YOU ONE STAR REVIEWS WHILE YOU CONTINUE TO DO IT

A very comfortable space but a bit big. High ceiling makes it quite noisy. Not cosy but spacious. Food offer was good and the coffee was very good. Service at a high efficient standard.

Avoid at all costs! Every Friday and Saturday there is a party with deafening music until 2am on the ground floor and the surrounding courtyard. The noise continues until 3am, when the last people leave and the staff clean up. So it is impossible to sleep. I have attached a leaflet I found in the bedroom which states that these parties take place every Friday and Saturday until 2am.
