Stayed here for a wedding at Arley Hall and Gardens. Said on the booking confirmation we could check in at 11am subject to availability. Turned up at 11am and asked if we could check in early. The man on reception looked at us blankly and said check in is earliest 2pm as housekeeping needs to clean the rooms. I said that the booking confirmation said that you may have availability, again he just repeated the same thing back to me in the most rudest way. I didn't see him check on the system or apologise that nothing was available. Really really disappointing as I had to get changed in the loos. I appreciate it was subject to availability, but when your employee acts like your crazy for asking such a thing, don't advertise it!

The desk staff were not very welcoming at arrival, and pointed out that I was too early (I know I was 10 mins early and I said I would wait, but I wanted to ask a question) and didn't really seem interested in anything I had to say. The room was large and okay for family size, the hotel had a lift, which was great being on the 2nd floor. The carpark was massive and free to park and the code was at reception so you could get out and come back whenever. Key cards for the room, no issues with them at all and staff gave a second to us when requested. The room itself (cleanliness wise), was not great. Our pillow had mould spores on (see photos) the room had mould in various places and there was rubbish from the previous guests. The bedsheets had blood stains on!) What is going on with the toilet roll dispenser? It felt like I was at a service station toilet, not a homely hotel with a normal toilet roll and holder. The room was boiling hot, but we were left a fan and was able to open windows, however, when we woke in the morning, the smell of cigarettes and cannabis seeped through the window from people outside! We also woke up with a bug in our bed, not sure what it was (bed bug??) but we filmed it and have attached it to this review. The breakfast was actually really good and the staff, although not overly friendly, did seem better than the check-in team. Nobody at the desk when we checked out, so we popped the keys in the post box provided. Would I stay again?? I think the bug in the bed put me off, so no.. Not at this premier Inn. 😢

I have stayed at the Premier Inn at J21/M6 several en route to Scotland and on return to Dorset. It has always been quiet and peaceful. Last stay I got the £26.99 deal for dinner and breakfast, which was great value. The staff are so helpful and very pleasant. I will use again. Thank you for a very comfortable stay.

Stopped for one night on way north. Very convenient location just of motorway. I note most reviews mention the cleanliness but I did not find this to be the case. The carpet in the corridor looked like it hadn't been hoovered in a long time so not a good first impression. Carpet in room better but some very dusty surfaces. Food and staff fine.

Thanks for the food was delicious. however, on the Sunday we ordered food but we then cancelled as we saw the ‘Sunday Offer’. We put in a re-order for the deal but was refused as it was “too busy”. Please don’t advertise something and go back against it. In the end they agreed to do it after the first time hanging up. Not really a honest service.

A bit disappointing. Lovely staff that’s the first thing. Food was average but the carbonara wasn’t great. Poorly made, watery sauce, fancy spaghetti, cold pancetta on top. Service was Ok but not attentive. We removed the service charge.

Great place the Lion. Staff are brill. Atmosphere chilled. Downside on last visit was the 3 coke heads sat next to us busy passing stuff under the table and running off to the toilet all the time, coming back with a terrible cold. Nip this in the bud and will be even better
