Very good hotel in a good location. The room was very clean and well maintained. Despite appearing to be short staffed the service was friendly, professional and efficient, . Regan, Eleanor, Jake and Emma were fantastic. We had an evening meal in the restaurant which was very good.

Stayed for a wedding at the weekend. The staff could not do enough for us. We git checked in early for a little fee which we didn't mind paying. Breakfast was one of the best I have tried from a premier inn. Team all happy and could not do enough for us. Little treat in the room from Sam and the team was a lovely touch, and a little game for the kids to find the Duck in the room.

Booking in not great, 10 mins early, told to wait, by girl with good dose of attitude, and left 5 mins before end of her shift with another colleague in white convertible, another member of staff with stopwatch coming out to book in the 7 guests now waiting at 3.00pm to the second. Couple of youngsters helping themselves to drinks behind bar when we arrived. Hotel in ugly location. Food poor, most of it off the menu. Staff outside getting their nicotine intake looking fully hacked off, no smiles or greeting. Wouldn't want to come back.

Here we are once again. Love this premier inn the best in country. Its so central to ulverston 15 min walk. The shortest canal in england is right behind it. The staff are all excellent. Reception no fuss and it was busy and the computer system was down but kim and jake plodded on regardless. The rooms are spotless as per usual. The restaurant is amazing. Clean and great staff and food. Jackson was the chef he made me a brilliant steak. Hes obv been well trained and kim jake and maya were working hard serving. Very attentative staff keeping it running smoothly. 1 complaint i have always mentioned is the crossing outside. Its so dangerous and z mirror needs to be placed at bridge to see whats whizzing round corner. Please let council know. If your old and infirm its no fun trying to run for your life.

One of the best of the brand we have stayed in. Sam and all the team seem to operate on the nothing is too much trouble end of the scale where customer concerned. Spotless rooms, food excellent topped off by that first class service.

We are on our way home from a stay at the Premier Inn, Ulverston. It is the best premier inn we have ever stayed in. Our room had lovely views, the restaurant was light and airy. Plenty of choice of well presented breakfast items. Great coffee but no de caf tea, luckily always bring my own. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for accommodation I. The area.

Really easy to find, ample parking out the front of the hotel Rooms are as you'd expect of any Premier Inn. Straightforward, unfussy, very comfortable and clean. Best part about this hotel is the staff. Very polite, friendly and accommodating. You can see they work hard

Attended the cycle and car retro weekend. The hotel is just a 15 minute walk into the town centre, so well placed. The breakfast is certainly worth paying for, lots of variety and freshly cooked. We only ate in the hotel one evening, that again was really good. Staff were very helpful and friendly

Stayed here for a couple of nights and were impressed. A very clean hotel with plenty of car parking available. After checking in we asked if we could possibly move rooms. Sam on reception did this with absolute minimum of fuss moving us to a room with a view of the canal and The Sir John Barrow Monument. We ate in the on site restaurant where the food was very good. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the town centre..

We've stayed at this Premier Inn several times as we like the area for walking. Had a two night stay 15-17 March. Room was clean overlooking the infamous Pepperpot with plenty hot water, vegan shower gel and hand wash. We ate in the restaurant on the second night and it was raining so bad and we couldn't brave the weather to walk into town . We enjoyed the vegan options of tomato soup with ciabatta bread then tomato and chilli linguine with a few sides. Shame the vegan pudding was apple pie with no vegan cream or ice cream but we had brought our own dessert to have in the room after. Vegan options are a little boring but at least we can eat there. Must mention the two members of staff in the restaurant. Now I didn't get their names but one lady had very dark hair, fabulous nails and dark lipstick and the other had long blonde hair and both wore glasses. They were fantastic even under pressure as it was busy and they had to tell people of delays with food coming out the kitchen. You could not ask for nicer staff, friendly, happy, smiley, had a bit of a chat and always said if there is anything I can help with just let me know.we We will definitely revisit we had a great trip.

The only reason it’s one star , because there is no option to give a zero . This was my 9th stay with premiere inn in last 2 years . I have stayed in London , Manchester , Huddersfield and few more . So far this was the worst stay . Although the hotel and the facilities are great the problem was attitude . I pointed out the problems during my stay as well , few were fixed few were ignored but there was an other event that concerned me even more . I will try to give details as much as possible . 1. We checked in , went to the room , I had booked a family room , only to find out that my child’s bed was not prepared , went down to reception asked them , was told that my booking was for a double bed , offered them to show the email , it was finally prepared with a hole in bed sheet . 2. On Saturday morning at 10 : 30 we were going out , informed reception that we will like our room to be cleaned , were told that it’s too late now , alright really??? At 10:30? What did they want I dnt know may be a month in advance. Told them if they cannot , can they please make sure at least the bin be cleared ? We were reassured that it will be done , only to find out after a long day travel at night , that no one bothered to enter the room even , with a bin now piling up . Did not have the energy to go and ask again . 3. Now this part is most alarming , at time of checkout there were other guests checking out too , the lady on reception offered a chocolate to a girl who was checking out , and did not offered it to my son 5 years old who seemed a bit disappointed. You must be wondering a chocolate really ? A family that can afford a tour, a car , food a living they can afford chocolate too , isn’t it ? But it was this subtle act , that showed a bit of racism, where guests with certain backgrounds are ignored and treated differently, even children are not spared from that treatment . This was the worst part for me . And one thing is sure , until I do not get a clarification or an apology , I am not going back to this particular hotel ever . Out of my many stays , this was the worst .

While premier inn are primarily a 3 star hotel, the rooms are clean, tidy, this hotel had a/c. The food team were great, front of house were on the ball, the second something ran out, they refilled, they were polite, efficient, approachable. The food was plentiful, good well, and there was a good choice of food.

Went here for the spa which was lovely, staff very friendly and professional. Facilities in the spa were good although there is no large pool just plunge pools. Downside was the changing rooms were very hot, we were all dripping with sweat trying to get changed afterwards. We also had lunch here and the food was lovely but just like regular pub grub.

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! Just had one of the worst dining experiences of my life, for a 30th birthday celebration courtesy of Lucy’s on a plate Ambleside! I honestly don’t know where to begin with this, maybe the appalling manager, slow service, bland overpriced food, not sure really but here we go. So we email this place the previous evening to our booking enquiring about a reservation for 2 people, we heard nothing until WE contacted them around 3/4pm the following day to be told “oh yes im just on with the bookings now and was just about to call you”which I didn’t believe but that’s fine, on the phone I explained it was a special 30th birthday meal for my partner as they asked were we celebrating an occasion. We were looking forward to our meal and arrived slightly early about 6.20 for a 7pm table, we thought we could maybe have a drink if they had a bar or somewhere to wait for the table. We were shocked to see the manager fumbling around with his booking sheet to clearly see he didn’t have our names down, just to write us in in front of him, he then makes a joke saying “that would of been embarrassing”yeah it certainly would have been embarrassing so not a great start at all, we sit down to read the menu and notice some essay on the front talking about the guests and what they were celebrating, no mention of my partners 30th birthday just a half arsed after thought saying hello Andrew and Rhianne, as we were clearly forgotten about. After looking at the menu we decided to go for 2 pork belly starters £12 each and lamb shank £28 and lamb tagine £24, starters came out pretty quickly around 10-15 mins so great, unfortunately BLAND!! The apple puree could of been anything as there was no flavour at all, no sweetness to balance the dish just the flavour or pork and a little black pudding Bon Bon, BLAND! Then we wait for almost 1 hour, yes 1 hour for the main, asking the waiting staff how long, got told if it’s not here in 5 mins I’ll go and punch the chef, yes haha very funny but just get me my food I wasn’t up for jokes by this time, then the mains come, my lamb shank was dry had next to no sauce or should I say gravy at all, the mash was lukewarm the veg the same and very undercooked, I’m all for al dente but this just wasn’t and a piece of parsnip no bigger then your little finger, this place is a long way off fine dining! I asked for some more sauce and was brought a gravy boat of wishy washy gravy that they must use on every dish! Honestly very similar to a bisto gravy, where’s the lamb flavour or the reduced stock to coat the lamb shank, absolutely nothing! My partner said the lamb tagine was lukewarm again but after waiting an hour we were so hungry we just ate it, she said the cous cous was just bland and had nothing special about it, she said the cous cous from Sainsbury’s ‘food on the go’ was much nicer, why is this when we’re paying all this money? We also noticed there was no check back to see how we were enjoying the food as tbh they just weren’t bothered! When our plates were cleared(25 mins after we had finished) we were asked was everything ok, I said hmm yeah ok to which the waitress replied “ok yeah” great and takes the plates. This is where I would of informed the manager that someone was not very happy and suggest they go and speak to them! I was very reluctant to say anything because I’m aware I’m celebrating my partners 30th and didn’t want to make a scene, after such terrible service and food we just couldn’t order a dessert as we weren’t going to give these people my more of our money, we receive the bill at £115 for 2 starters 2 mains and 2 drinks each one of those was non alcoholic. Very overpriced for the quality you receive. Then to top the night off I go to pay, this is where the manger really shows his lack of experience, from me counting out the money to pay he never once asked “how was your meal” how did your partner enjoy her 30th birthday celebration” nothing! Didn’t even say enjoy your evening, honestly I recommend you research this place before going here as it’s beyond bad!

Wonderful place. Small roads that were interesting to drive on. However, the room was really lovely and the afternoon tea was sublimely good. Hill top was right next door too. A really great place with several wonderful walks around it.

A very beautiful place with stunning views of Lake Windermere. The whole complex was so dreamy! the greenery was very well maintained. A big thanks to Tom and Dan who were such gems, friendly and attentive :) The interior was very classy however it is very dated, the room had cracks along the ceiling, cobwebs, creaky floors and bathroom overall wasn't clean. It definitely needs a revamp but everything else was great!
