Spotlessly clean and one of the best Premier Inn’s we have stayed in. Had the meal deal and the food was excellent. All the staff are friendly and chatty. Perfect location, especially for the Hydro and Armadillo which are both just a hop over the bridge at the door. We were going to Barrowlands which is just over a two mile walk along the river. Don’t follow the sat nav which tells you to come off at junction 19, it’s much easier to exit at junction 24.

Usual Thyme menu which is no more than you would expect, but virtually all food served at dinner and the breakfast was at best just warm. Staff were under staffed and could not cope with the volume. Pleasant enough, but not over enthusiastic. Will not be my first choice if in the area again.

Short wait to get a table by polite attentive staff, lovely makhani curry, Served piping hot and fairly spicy. Plenty of fresh chilli and spring onions on top. Crispy poppadom and soft naan bread. A bit more rice would of balanced the qty a little more but what was served was hot and nicely cooked. Very reasonably priced and nice view of the river from my table. Glad i didn’t listen to the negative reviews from 2022. Overall very happy for the price.

Had to wait 20 minutes to go into restaurant for dinner for spacing, yet went down for breakfast and had to move table as so close to next one couldn’t get into seats. 45 mins for meals to come out and if we weren’t so tired and hungry would have sent back. Yes we ate it but voted with feet and went elsewhere next night for meal.

Lovely spot, right opposite the Armadillo. Having been given the menu we waited about 10 mins for the order to be taken and then another 15 mins or so for it to appear. Soup was nice but was served with 3 tiny crostini. Not enough to even dip in. My prawn cocktail was very mean on prawns, about 9 or ten of the transparent kind which did not look cooked. One or two pieces of lettuce were beginning to turn brown on the edges which I hadn't noticed before I started eating. This was again served with tiny pieces of crusty bread with no butter. The waitresses were very nice though. Altogether mean on prawns, decent bread and butter, which I had to ask for and sugar which I also had to request for twice as the coffee was strong and bitter.

Staying at the Premier Inn we decided to eat close to home and no closer than the Premier Inn Thyme. The team were lovely. We were initially served in the bar before dinner by Melissa ... very welcoming and friendly. This approach was continued by the rest of the team as we were seated at our reserved table. The food was most unexpected. Honestly we had not expected such great quality food but were blown away. I chose the sirloin steak medium rare which was actually cooked medium rare and was delicious, my husband chose the beef and doom bar pie which he said was outstanding and my son had what he described as truly tasty chicken wings starter and a pasta main course. Brilliant Premier Inn ... you really had this nailed and thank you to Melissa, the chefs, kitchen and the rest of the team for a lovely meal. We will definitely be back.

In the evening that was Plenty of staff on so the service was quick and friendly. I had the Thai green vegetable curry which was tasty my husband had the chicken which as a bit dry and not much meat on it. At breakfast quite again plenty of staff who were very friendly , plenty of choice even for a vegan like myself. Only downside was the staff stood around talking while most tables required to be cleared. We sat our dirty plates on a nearby table.

Travelling back from Kinning Park with my eldest son, I decided to stop off here for a bite to eat as I needed to pick up a few things anyway. Overall, it was some good scran. Aside from the food, I also thought it was brilliantly priced (Kids eating for just £1), the staff were decent and the cleanliness of the seating area was on point. In comparison to the Morrison’s café in Anniesland, which has plummeted in quality over the last four months, it really was night and day in comparison. I opted for the Sweet Chilli Chicken Panini (lovely) and a Cappuccino (unfortunately the machine only poured 2/3 of a mug). The wee man had Pancakes, Crisps and a Fruit Shoot (unfinished but he seemed happy enough with it). I was impressed with the choice on offer - it certainly exceeded what I’d expect from a Supermarket café. Being a fan of Rangers, I’ll most likely be in the area again very soon and would happily head back to Asda.
