Premier Inn Southend-On-Sea (Thorpe Bay) hotel in Southend-on-Sea

We stayed here over the weekend for a wedding. Firstly the lady on reception was so welcoming and friendly. The rooms were adequately sized for what we needed and the bed, perfectly comfy. 30 second walk to the sea front and carvery directly next door

The hotel is well situated in Thorpe Bay, a stone's throw from the beach! It's a standard Premier Inn, big beds, reasonable sized room with basic facilities. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was not working during my stay, and the temperature of the room was not ideal. Also no mini fridge in the room meant that I didn't have cold drinks! Overall a pleasant stay and I hope to return soon!

Another little weekend breather! Always stay here, great hotel and really lovely staff!

Great place to put your head down after a night out

Gave a 4 as wasn’t able to speak on the phone before arrival. Although did see staff taking calls. So I may of been calling at a very busy times.

The receptionist was lovely and kind. The room was comfy. No air con but you do have a fan and can open the windows so i was happy. There is a Toby carvery next door and loads of restaurants along the strip. I was very happy with the selection. The beach is across the street and the closest train station is a 5 minute drive.

Comfortable room with chair desk and small bedside tables etc there is a selection of sockets under the TV for use giving HDMI, Audio and USB facilities. There are plenty of uk plug sockets in the room with one either side of the king bed. There is a small open wardrobe with hangers and decent bathroom with shower. Although I would have liked a grab handle in the shower. A good kettle and a small selection of tea and coffee at your disposal.

Hired a room. Dirty bath with small hairs in the bath tub. I had to wash it out before use. No ventilation. Shame. Very disappointed.
