Premier Inn Paignton South (Brixham Road) hotel in Torbay

Staff were friendly and helpful. It’s not near the seafront but better as it’s out of the busy areas. We caught the bus everyday to different places. Bus stop outside the hotel takes you to various places and are regular. Big beer garden to sit outside which is ok in the summer. Car park seems busy, a lot of people coming to use the electric car charging. Is near to a lot of big shops..

We have had a great three days including breakfast and evening meal. We could not ask for anything more. The staff at the Premier Inn are so friendly and helpful. Everything as it should be. The Beefeater Staff were also so lovely. We would like to do a special shout out for Saffron and Emma. Two amazing girls that the company should be proud of. Also they should be proud of the whole team. We are already looking at dates for a return stay. Thank you all.

I use this hotel and its adjacent Beefeater restaurant regularly and I feel they have the best staff I have ever seen. Without exception they try to provide the best service. As a disabled adult I particularly value helpful attentive staff. I have just returned from a stay of 2 nights and will be rebooking immediately because the service of restaurant Server Emma was even better than their usual high standard. I had booked a birthday celebration meal for my 96 year old father and immediate family. Our food needs were challenging with much attention needed like my steak being cut into cubes in the kitchen. Emma was ever available and accommodating making this important event very successful. If you use this hotel or restaurant (and I recommend you do) ask for Emma to be your server !

Great hotel with lovely staff. Hotel is situated in an ideal place to go for when going on the train of lights for Christmas. Hotel was very clean and had a beefeater next door that done a lovely breakfast. Would definitely stay here again

We had a one night stay. The experience was what we had come to accept with a Premier Inn.

Yes it does look a bit like a Russian block of flats and the carpets aren't worn out. Another plus is it has a huge free car park. There is an electric charging point here. Where is a pub restaurant in the compound for evening meals snacks and breakfast. There is also a Lidl next door.

Great location for visiting local ereas. Plenty of free parking, very unusual and room was of a high standard. Stayed here a few times before. Helpful ,pleasant staff.

Premier Inn Paignton South (Brixham Road) hotel. Had a lovely two night stay here. The room was clean and comfortable, easy check in and out and breakfast was organised and efficient. What made our stay was the reception staff, all were friendly and helpful particularly Becky who went out of her way to make us feel special. She really is a lovely, thoughtful person. Her customer service is second to none.

Premier Inn is usefully predictable. You know you will get a comfortable bed, a decent shower, okay WiFi and decent television. This is useful if that is what you want, and I do. The more adventurous may find it tame

The hotel itself is as expected for a 3 star, but the internet situation is abysmal. There is no network signal at the hotel, so you are completely reliant on the WiFi. The free WiFi was barely fast enough (about 0.1MB/s) to do a basic Google search and kept disconnecting, so I was basically forced to buy the "ultimate" WiFi, which was almost unusable (about 0.3MB/s), and could not stream anything as it wasn't fast enough. It is utterly shocking that you can ask someone to pay for a premium service and it be virtually unusable. It's almost as if the WiFi situation hasn't been updated since 2005. Do not stay here for business purposes as you will be disappointed with the lack of access to usable internet, which should be a basic requirement in 2024.

Hotel is just outside Paignton so quite near to Paignton itself and also Brixham and Torquay. Some shops local to it as well. The Range, Food Warehouse, Lidl McDonald's, Aldi, Asda etc so plenty of places to have something to eat if you don't want to keep going to the restaurant on site.

Fantastic Premier inn, in great location along main road, near to The Range Iceland, Costa. Great food at associated beefeater, with excellent breakfast. Superb and very effecient check in and out.

Clean room, hot shower. Perfect for one or two nights. Super efficient Receptionist on duty at Paignton site. Only grumble would be the room had no opening window.

Helpful staff, plenty of parking and quiet.

Rooms are a bit dated. The first floor area near the lift smell awful. Luckily the room was alright. There are several EV charging areas in the hotel premises as well as nearby lidl.

Great place, lovely staff will stay there again

Our room was ready when we arrived but on returning for our 2nd night, it hadn't been serviced, bedding not made and tea and coffee not replenished which after a full day out at family funeral was quite a disappointment. I know we could have gone to reception but we were wiped out and couldn't be fussed with having to go to reception. Staff were friendly and helpful but oddly enough, no public transport into Brixham locally, needed a 20 minute minimum walk to catch buses. Stay was overall ok, not spectacular but certainly more than adequate for our needs on this occasion.

This hotel needs a refresh - especially when compared with the newer hotels in Paignton that offer cheaper rates. It has an ideal location for those wanting to explore Torbay and the surrounding areas. The bathroom is a shower over the bath (always a pet hate of mine) The TV doesn't line up with the bed. Bedroom was massive, was very nice to have extra space. Decor is looking very very tired, rooms feel rather depressed - and the toilet paper is some of the cheapest and thinnest ive ever seen. I personally wouldn't choose to stay at this Premier Inn site again unless caught in a bind. The bed is comfortable and the noise was minimal, both of which are good positives!
