Friendly staff and clean rooms in a great location to see great views of London especially Tower Bridge and the area has some great places to eat and right next-door to the hotel is a Tesco express for all essentials needed. The building is white cane accessible but the only negative I would mention is that you need to scan your room key to use the elevator being visually impaired; This is quite difficult to figure out unless you’re with someone. I would also mention the breakfast was only warm but I have also had this issue at other hotels such as Travelodge so I don’t view it as a negative more a standard unfortunately.

Fantastic stay. Very comfortable, quiet (even though my room was facing the high street - didn't hear a sound). The staff were also extremely helpful and kind. I had breakfast booked but as I was fasting, sunrise was 20 minutes before breakfast was due to open. After discussing this at check-in (at 11pm), they agreed to make sure the continental breakfast items would be ready for me to eat in the morning. When I came down the next day, the staff were aware and everything was ready. I was very grateful and it made a big difference to me. Thank you for a fantastic stay! Highly recommend.

Premier Inn London Southwark (Borough High St) is a hotel located in the heart of London, just a few minutes' walk from attractions such as Borough Market and the Shard.

Honestly, second time I've stayed here in 3 years due to work selection. £250 for the night, which is a high price compared to other providers. The rooms are outdated compared to other hotel providers for the same cost. Old "smart" TVs that require you to download an app that doesn't work for casting. There are no apps, like netflix or YouTube for you to connect and watch what you want. The bathrooms look new, but the bath size is a kid size bath, not really fit for a 6ft 3 person, so why not just make the majority of rooms into a modern stand up shower, the norm for hotels. The air conditioning has given me a sore throat, so instead I had to unwillingly sleep naked which I hate in hotel beds. For a work stay over I wouldn't recommend, for a general London visit with just a place to stay it's alright but nothing to rave about, overall a 3/5

Another great Premier Inn. You know exactly what you're getting at a Premier Inn. This one is in a fantastic location right next to a 24 hr Tescos. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Recommended

This is my favourite hotel in London. I have been here the first time in 2015. I like the area around the hotel with its many restaurants and the Borough Market. It is also close to the Tower and the City of London so that you can walk to many landmarks. It's also perfect if you fly in to Gatwick Airport as it taks less than 30 minutes to get from there to London Bridge Station.

4th or 5th time staying here, it's great. Staff are great, location is a few minutes from London Bridge tube and Southbank, Mercato Metropoliana is a short walk away and Borough Market is round the corner. Add in a small Tesco next door for essentials and you've got everything you could need for either a family trip or a weekend away with friends. Good breakfast too.

We stayed here for one night and it was a great experience. The staff are friendly & helpful & the hotel was clean. We arrived early & an early check-in was no problem for them at all. The hotel is actually very quiet given that it’s in London & we all slept so well. The location is good for Tate Modern & Borough Market.

No coffee machine, limited refreshments generally. Wardrobe/hanging space, is a triumph of design over functionality. Quiet room, comfortable bed let down by average (at best) pillows.

Can't fault this Premier Inn. Premier Plus rooms and beds were excellent and we were blown away by the sound proofing. Considering it's just off a very busy road and on the London City flight path we heard nothing! Really convenient for London Bridge Station (6mins walk with bags) and Tower Bridge (20mins ish). Breakfast was well stocked and the usual Premier Inn self serve all you can eat continental and cooked options. Only reason for putting 4 star was that there was usually either homeless people or people smoking down the alleyway to the entrance....not so nice especially when walking back at night.

The rooms are spacious, neat and clean, and the toilets are also spacious. The beds are comfortable as they sell mattresses under their own brand. There are almost no worries about bed bugs, and the staff is very kind. It is highly convenient for transportation and has easy access to sightseeing spots. The location is perfect, with pubs and restaurants around and a tesco express next to it. Security is also solid, and you need to touch your card key three times in total: at the elevator, hallway entrance, and guest room door. You can leave your luggage after checking out. Although it looks perfect, I deducted a star because there are a few issues, as described below. First, the entrance is difficult to find. If I hadn't read the reviews beforehand that it's behind Tesco Express, I might have gotten lost. If you wish to have your room cleaned and towels changed, please inform the front desk every morning. However, you can get new towels even at night. Since you are only given one card key, it is difficult for only one person to go out when multiple people are staying. Due to high security, you will not be able to return unless someone comes to pick you up. Cheaper rooms don't have refrigerators or air conditioners (although they do have heating). There is no safety deposit box. There are no tissues. The water force of the shower is weak. There's no soap dish so I can't put anything on it. The temperature of the hot water in the sink is unstable (the shower is stable). Lastly, there is a smell of feet coming from the carpet, maybe just in my room.

Terrible experience. "Family room" for 4 had 2 beds. 1 double and a single. Single bed mattress kept slipping off. Their "good night guarantee" is an absolute scam. I was told by Customer Services that if in their opinion I couldn't have had a bad sleep, the guarantee doesn't apply! Would never stay again. Food was nice. Staff on site were friendly.

Pros: good location very close to London Bridge and in 5 minutes you can also reach the underground. It is a colorful and varied neighborhood, although at night you may find peculiar situations of people in bars. It is a safe place, the receptionists were nice. They have a luggage room to store your luggage. Good views of the Shard and a bit of London Bridge. Cons: I think the price is higher than what is offered. They should also have USB ports to give the possibility of charging electronic devices that do not have an English plug. I think the room could be a little more modern and in some rooms, such as the bathroom, there were areas that could have been better painted. To speed up the procedures they should also have all the check-in machines available, when I went none of them were working and that delayed the check-in process.

Food great, bedrooms clean and very comfortable. Quiet, so a good night sleep was had, and we were overlooking the front. Right by a tesco express. Only down was I felt the bathroom needed a bit of love, and some usb chargers in the room would have been lovely.

Clean, friendly, small but perfectly placed for Borough Market and some good pubs. The area has picked up somewhat since I lived here, more shops, more people, more things to do and this has reflected in the price of a room.

This review comes late as we were there in January 2024. Wanted to say a huge thank you to the staff who went over and above their jobs to create a birthday surprise for my daughter, providing lovely decor, balloons, and even 2 chocolate boxes! The rooms are spacious and managed to fit my family of 2 adults and 3 young children. Rooms with bath tub are slightly smaller but still adequately sized. Can let the hotel know beforehand if you prefer room with bath tub or not. Everything was very clean and working well. Only thing we wished the hotel could have but didn’t was a mini fridge. Anyway, still a great value hotel for central London! Short walk to London Bridge train station (and hence easy access to Gatwick), plenty of food shops around it. In-house restaurant is not bad too!

We spent 4 nights in this super well located hotel. A stone's throw from the metro, in a busy street where you will find lots of restaurants, the rooms are nevertheless super quiet and well soundproofed with very comfortable bedding. The staff is very friendly. The luggage storage service is very practical for visiting the city without having to worry about luggage. I recommend.

Expect typical premier inn quality from the rooms, that is to say clean and comfortable with a functional bathroom and just enough storage space to get by. The issues with the hotel start and end with its locations and the consequences of that location. The entrance way to the building being constantly covered in broken bottles and homeless people sneaky into the building make it clear the rooms are the only safe spot you'll find. As usual with premier inn skip the breakfasts unless you're in a rush as their quality is exactly as mediocre as you'd expect.
