I recently went here and whilst the food was okay.. the service was slow and I found a big fly in my food (curry goat with peas and rice) I went ahead to explain/show to the owner the fly and there was no form of compensation or empathy. I felt quite sick/ nauseous afterwards as the fly was very visible. I will not be partaking in any other food as I noticed there kitchen wasn’t as well kept as anticipated and was probably initially overlooked on my end. The overall customer service could have been handled better.

Soup, good. Tomato tasting Mac & Cheese, shocking. Just No. NO.

Wonderful! Came here on a sunny Thursday and the ladies were cooking away a feast! Really delish oxtail stew. Fresh plantain!! So great. There was a picnic table outside to sit at so we ate there. Clearly popular joint as loads of the food had sold out. Make sure you get in early to avoid disappointment! We will be coming back!

The food was nice and hot. The curry goat was very tasty but the only let down was it had loads of bones..

The rice is literally mash what's going on

First of all, I should have followed my husband's lead and walked off when the lady said she had to cook everything and it would take at least 30 minutes. Also, we're still trying to understand how we spent almost $70 on 4 entrees that costs less than $9 bucks, per the chalkboard menu. Ive never been to a Caribbean restaurant where rice and peas were not included with the entree. Did we pay extra(a la cart) I asked for veggies, and they were simply frozen vegetables, with no seasonings what so ever. The entrees seem to be more rice and peas than oxtails. The chicken stew had no juice...just bits of chicken, no veggies of any kind.... and a ton of rice and peas. Come to think about it..I doubt any of the food that we ordered, except for the frozen unseasoned veggies, were freshly cooked at that moment. I've never thrown so much food away, especially oxtails. I've traveled to too many islands and I love Caribbean cuisine, but baby this ain't it...the previous reviews must come from either friends or fam, or people that don't have a clue!!!! Oh and just because you throw a sprig of thyme in the mix, don't make it Caribbean either!

Had chicken and rice with Mac and cheese all of it was amazing and flavourful. Nice seating area on a balcony while waiting. Flavour was amazing.

Take a seat. Good food comes to those who wait. Tasted like home in every bite, especially the homemade sorrel. Curried goat, rice, coleslaw, macaroni pie, spice bun and drink was well worth it.

Oxtail was ok. The rice was dissapointing.

Didn’t taste like any brown stew chicken I’ve ever eaten. In fact it was so spicy I couldn’t eat it ! So disappointed Stew chicken is one of my Favs this was the worst I’ve ever had. And the rice and peas didn’t taste like anything wouldn’t order again

Was given curry goat instead of curry chicken. Was still delicious so im not complaining. But i got the wrong order. Was the first time it happened, so i wont be too harsh

I am so disappointed because I really wanted to enjoy this order. After reading the great reviews about the tasty goat soup and curried goat, I decided to try this restaurant for a change. I wish I hadn't. I don't like curry goat, but had to order it to qualify for delivery because of the lack of choice of other meals. I would not have bothered with this takeaway, but was looking forward to the goat soup, coconut drop and peanut drop. Unfortunately their drops taste different to one's I am used to, but that's OK because this can happen with different shops. WHAT ISN'T OK is the 3 piddly little tiny peaces of goat meat in the soup which together don't even make one decent sized piece of meat. How am I supposed to enjoy the rest of the soup without enough meat? So I was left with a really good quantity of soup that has no point of being eaten. Unfortunately, as I said, I don't like curry goat so was going to give that away anyway. I am going back to my usual Caribbean takeaway because they have realised they have to give more meat after getting lots of complaints.

Curry goat was nice but as they is nowhere to put plain rice I was give rice and peas even through I never order rice and peas so I had to throw the rice and peas away which meant all I ate was the curry goat I think this should be made clearer when ordering but I won't be using them again as I feel like I wasted my money

The food was delivered hot and on time the food was delicious, the curry goat was well seasoned and the the meat fell off the bone. I appreciated the little biscuit treat after my meal. The only downfall was that the coleslaw wasn't enough for a large meal, I was given just enough for a small.

Really Disappointed No hard food left so agreed to have a Lamb Pattie instead it was flat, hard, hardly any filling and a total waste of money I had to throw it away. This experience as been very off putting to order anything again.

The food arrived and containers was damaged causing the gravy to leak onto the other orders that was bagged together, rider had informed me that he fell off of his bike and was sorry for the mess this had caused.

Yesterday was the first time I heard about The Original Caribbean Spice Restaurant so decided to go and check it out for myself. Well they say first impression count and I can definitely say it was true. I looked at the menu and thought I'd try the mutton soup which was oh so delicious, I enjoyed every mouthful 😋. Before I left I brought 2 patties and a meal of white rice with lamb chops, 2 portions of macaroni pie and coleslaw which I throughly did enjoy . This will most definitely be my go to restaurant from now on, and in walking distance from where I live. Thank you Loroma and it such a pleasure to meet you, and I look forward to eating many more of your dishes 😊. Also the prices are very reasonable and portions were large.

Outstanding best jamaican food in London

Food was absolutely amazing as usual I ordered the goat meat soup it was wonderful not too spicy,just right for the winter weather, I also got the fried dumpling perfectly fluffy not too firm and the Plantain was spot been buying for over 20yrs +

Food was delicious, a little spicy but was manageable. It was really fresh and very enticing. Only, litte issue was that some of the sauce had spilled over inside the bag, but I am putting that down to transportation. Overall, very good.

Food was warm and tasted great. Portion size was perfect.

First time buying - Food was great, full of flavour so was not disappointed. However my plantain was burnt 😖 but other than that. I wasn’t disappointed. Food came in time and still hot. Thank you for that.

I ordered three meals which included curry goat and oxtail. The goat was amazingly tasty and the oxtail was succulent and rich with Caribbean flavours. These two dishes can be very oily but they weren't instead it they both had a great non-oily gravy, this definitely scored points for me. Love the Mac n cheese slices too. I would definitely order again.

My first time eating at The Original Caribbean Spice, in it's new home in Castle Square. Wonderful, friendly staff, with a real family vibe, they were very welcoming! As soon as I saw Curry Goat on the menu I had to have it, and it tasted so good, eating the meat off the bones, and leaving them by the side. It's a small and cosy restaurant - go and try it!
