The hotel building and rooms are beautiful. Well presented and full of history. However the bedroom was cold and the heating didn't work. The shower head was broken and hanging off so we couldn't shower properly. We complained several times to reception, who were lovely but despite being assured someone would come to sort it out no-one came. Also only one of the lifts worked and could only hold 4 people at a time. Would not recommend

Would definitely recommend this hotel. Lovely rooms, great location, reasonably priced rooms. Busy but surprisingly quiet at night. Had everything we needed. Would definitely go back again.

As premier inns go it a better one, I will say the building it occupies gives it a charm and character no other premier inn has. The location and surrounds are excellent and its a short walk to the city

Good Morning I just wanted to give my feedback on a member of staff called Laura....we arrived an hour early so we chill out in the lovely reception for an hour, because we did not pay for early check in, which was fine. At 14.50 there was an influx of people arriving, I went to the back of the queue, after my long wait in the foyer, however she knew I was before the other people, and brought me to the front of the queue, I cannot thank her enough, she was so lovely and helpful, I would grade her as outstanding, a credit to your company. I saw her again at breakfast and I could thank her enough for her looking after me the day before. I was blown away that someone would look out for me. Thank you so much Laura you made our stay so amazing........lovely location, breakfast was amazing

Disappointing hotel. We stayed the late May Bank holiday and struggled to find somewhere due to it being a busy weekend. We've stayed at other Premier Inns before which were great for the price. This however was not good value, the hotel is in a lovely building and the room was clean and breakfast included which was nice enough. However the dingy rooms need a full refurbishment, mould in the bathroom, filthy windows that don't open. Room fittings were frankly knackered, and we were on the mezzanine floor right above the entrance, had to keep blackout curtains shut as people outside could just look in. Lighting dim and tiny tv which was laughable. Lifts didn't seem to be working and the stairs had debris and litter on. Staff we encountered were helpful just seems a bit rich asking for donation to leave bags with them for an hour or pay 15 early check in after paying 275 for one night!. I'm annoyed we paid so much after seeing other poor reviews but having stayed at Premier Inns before i didnt heed their warnings.

Amazing location and building; we literally stayed in an old warehouse storeroom with old wrought iron beams and pillars. Very cool. The guy of reception was less impressive but it didn’t affect our stay adversely.

Absolutely shocking to not have WiFi in a hotel in 2025. No fridge either and windows that can't open. Also surge pricing to £280 for one night is absolutely disgusting.

I do like a Premier but have to admit, this wasn't one of the best. It's in an excellent location and the staff were helpful. However, the room was awful really. We had a 3 night stay, the room was cold. Heating didn't work at all and there was 1 small electric heater in the room. The bathroom, well, it had no bath, just a shower, the door was a noisy sliding door with no lock. There was no extraction system in the shower room so got very steamy. The floorboards along the whole of the corridor were creaky, even if, as the posters on the doors asked you to 'tip toe' was still noisy and most mornings was woken up before 6 with people walking past. The breakfast was a tad below average. Tasteless and hard bacon, it was so thin. No seasoning in the scrambled egg and I believe the cranberry juice was watered down. Although I love Premier, if we come to Albert Dock again I think I'd prefer the Holiday Inn

Staff are really friendly and helpful. Location is excellent right on the docks with some good views. Soundproofing in the rooms is poor though. We could hear the guests in the next room talking and singing. Also at 2am could hear them having sex. Told reception who did tell them and another room to keep the noise down. Room was clean and comfortable. There was a fan and we asked for a heater which was put in the room. Only downside is the noise from adjoining rooms.

Great hotel for visiting Liverpool. We were staying here to watch Everton play, it's about a 15 minute taxi ride from here. Hotel staff were really friendly, we weren't sure if the game was going to be on due to the weather and Premier Inn customer service were really accommodating and supportive of the situation. The hotel is quite big and can be a bit of a walk to the room. The room was really nice, as part of the old dock there are nice elements of this visible in the hotel. The Kings Dock car park is a 5-10 minute walk away but you get discounted parking for stopping at the Premier Inn. Options to eat in the restaurant and vending machines for snacks. All round good stay and value for money!

Booked 2 nights here when we arrived only 1 lift was working and there was quite a que. The heating and air con was not working, and the room was freezing. We asked for a second oil radiator as the one we had did little to warm the room. To top it off, the family next door did nothing but shout and argue, I know this is not the inn's fault, but along with the cold room, it just was not suitable for a good night's sleep The staff was not at all helpful or really concerned. At 7 p.m., we left and booked a room in the local Travelodge.

Perfectly located in the Albert dock for a visit to Liverpool. Rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast remains superb value and quality especially for families as children eat for free. We were on the fourth floor (loft access) with wonderful views of the dock and AC. For the price impossible to beat.

Amazing hotel in an amazing location. The only problem I had with the family rooms was the lack of seating, and the curtains were too heavy for poles that one half fell down during shutting them.

Fantastic location, stayed in this hotel a few times. Love the Albert dock, beautiful area for a walk with lovely restaurants. M&S arena is a few mins walk away. Liverpool one is about half a mile away and well worth a visit for the shops and restaurants. The Beatles experience is just outside the hotel and is excellent. Plenty of activities are available outside like open top bus tour, boat trips etc.

Overpriced, worn out with uncaring staff. Hoping to have a nice weekend with my children after a particularly upsetting year. Me and my children were looking forward to some quality time together after a good friend generously paid for us to have a weekend in Liverpool. He had pre-paid for the hotel at a hefty £250 per night. However, upon arrival, the receptionist informed me that the payment was merely on hold, forcing me to use all my money to cover the stay. This left us unable to afford the meal out I had promised my children. The desk staff's attitude ruined our weekend, and my daughter ended up in tears in our room. Fortunately, my friend managed to send me the money, allowing us to salvage the weekend.

Superb location surrounded by bars and eateries, easy walk into the main city, budget hotel as what's expected ,room has no window so no fresh air however sign on wall said "not to worry air con provided " great ! It did not work and in desperate need of a service and was disgustingly filthy so only blew warm dusty other people skin particles around our room. Hotel has own bar open until 2/3am great for a late pint and a bite to eat as food menu said all night service pizza, chips, onion rings ect , open ordering was told nothing available other than chips (fair enough chips and mayo it is) No mayonnaise! However the lad was kind enough to root around and find some tomato sauce . One night was OK but in the summer would be bad without any air flow, would seek alternative hotel next time shame as building and location is ideal , definitely needs some TLC.

What has happened to Premier inn. I have been staying here regularly over the last 7 years. They encourage guests to buy the meal deal, then on a whim the manager decides to close the restaurant earlier than advertised, leaving guests who purchased the meal deal without food.

Aesthetically, this is definitely the best premier inn we’ve stayed in. But in terms of a good nights sleep it’s the worst. We was woken up at 5-6am on a bank holiday Monday to a worker throwing bins around and dragging them down the steps. As you can imagine a completely full bin being dropped down a flight of stairs isn’t the quietist thing in the world. As we were in the room right above the main entrance, we heard it the loudest and it kept us up for about an hour. Will not be staying here again.

We love Liverpool and all that's on offer in the City and the Albert Dock is a fantastic and magical part of the city. We stayed here with a young son for 2 nights and they put us in a room directly next to a pub with extremely loud music on Friday and the Saturday nights. When we complained as it went on til 1am on both nights (then loads of shouting from the punters when the venue closed a further hour), customer service at Premier Inn totally disinterested. What they say about their 'Good nights sleep' policy is a joke as apparently they have no responsibility or influence in relation to neighbouring venues and noise. A simple solution would have been to put us a family with a young child in to a more suitable room. The hotel generally is tired and you will queue up like sheep in the morning for breakfast. Apart from all that, no complaints :) Will vote with our feet, as won't be returning to a Premier Inn but it won't put us off this fantastic city.

Positive Points: 1. Central Location: Situated in the heart of Liverpool, offering convenient access to various attractions and amenities. 2. Stunning Views: Guests can enjoy picturesque views of the cityscape or the Albert Dock, enhancing the overall experience. Our room was facing the wheel, which was quite unique. 3. Comfortable Beds: The hotel provides comfortable beds, ensuring a good night's sleep for weary travellers. 4. Early Check-In Option: For a nominal fee of £10, guests can opt for early check-in, allowing for flexibility in their travel plans. 5. Breakfast: The availability of breakfast adds value to the stay, providing guests with a convenient dining option. Negative Points: 1. No WiFi in Room 409: Unfortunately, room 409 lacks WiFi connectivity, which may inconvenience guests who rely on internet access during their stay. I couldn't get any work done! 2. Poor Phone Response: The hotel's phone service seems to be lacking, as there were difficulties in reaching staff via phone, even after numerous attempts prior to arrival. Overall, Premier Inn Liverpool City Centre (Albert Dock) offers a prime location with comfortable amenities. However, I feel that improvements in WiFi accessibility and phone responsiveness would enhance the guest experience.

The location was perfect for me. The lady at the front desk moved very quickly with the check-in. The rooms, on the other hand, have a degree of wear that can be seen and my room (232) seems to be a room where people have smoked. You can still smell the cigarette. The air con URGENTLY needed to be disinfected and cleaned and a pair of disposable slippers were required.

Accessible room really wasn't very accessible and on the 4th floor too. Had to haul a hoist and medical equipment up in the lift. Our first night we were asked to be quiet as we could be heard laughing at the end of the corridor! The corridor was a few feet long! Granted it was just about 11pm and we had just got in. Nothing said the next night when someone had a party and we were woken at 4am by doors clashing, people shouting and running about!! No proper window. Just a fake window with a view of plants in a cupboard! No fresh air. Very claustrophobic and hot! I turned the thermostat down and the fan on but the temp kept rising! Staff on check in were nice though and hunted down some bed raisers as my son had forgot to ask on booking. Only a double bed in the accessible room so son had to have that and I slept on the floor. Bath instead of wet room so couldn't get son in it. Parking outside was £20 a day too so quite an expensive weekend.

The building is fantastic and quite unique. We had a great view over the Albert docks and the original fixtures and features. The restaurant was decent but where the service was sometimes lacking. Not sure if it was a lack of staffing as often there were only two waiting staff but initial food and drink orders were taken well and arrived but trying to get anything else beyond that was difficult. You could try and wave them down and it would take a while. Asking for desert menus or ordering an item off it took a very long time for the menu or the item to arrive. Same with the bill. As we were with children there should have been a special offer that should have been applied but was not and charged at full rate instead of the £1 offer. We also had a fire evacuation on the night we stayed, it took too long for staff to decide what was happening and evacuate visitors. When let back in there was one staff member and all other restaurant staff had disappeared and one chef remained who couldn't help us with paying up or anything. There was a young lady working in the restaurant who was fantastic, she told us she was leaving for another job but she was always very kind and efficient and getting you things when you needed. Breakfast staff were under a lot of pressure and did an amazing job of catering for everyone and keeping everything topped up and was run very efficiently and we're very helpful, top marks to them. The hotel itself is in an excellent location for the Albert Docks and very clean inside and out and the price was very reasonable considering the school holidays. Front of house staff were friendly and always busy but kept calm under pressure. It's a good place to be based from and would come again.

Fantastic rooms, great, central location, excellent prices and the staff bent over backwards to help us get settled and sorted. Nothing was too much for them. The breakfasts were lovely and you could have continental or full english as much as you wanted. The wi-fi was free and rock solid. The bar was fairly priced and open late. Again, great service. The restaurant food was very reasonably priced and tasty gorgeous and served quickly. We couldn't book 4 nights in a row but booked 1 night, then another night and another and another and the staff made sure we got to keep the same room despite separate bookings. Really very happy with Premier Inn. Well done all!

As always the Premier Inn is one of my top places to stay and I know it's going to be comfortable and clean. The only down side was the check in as it was self check in but the key cards wouldn't work so we had to wait for someone from the restaurant, not a massive problem but there were a few people that were also waiting. The staff were lovely and friendly and stored our luggage so we could explore the city.
