Friendly staff. The abiding smell within the room is one of sweaty workmen & stale b.o. Unfortunately, response is one of " Sorry we're fully booked " very much a case of like it or lump it. Not a good corporate response. Probably a sign of rushed/ limited cleaning process. Sadly, Premier Inn seem to be operating a policy of 'mind over matter'. They don't mind & you don't matter'.

Room was nice and clean, unfortunately after a night out at about 3am, we were rudely awaken by the fire alarms and had to evacuate. We couldn't go back to bed until the fire brigade had checked the building, all was fine luckily, I think someone was smoking in the room, but we didn't get an explanation!

The staff were great! Great value for money and the beds were great and clean, however! Our room was very very damp and it stank. That kept me awake. Apart from that actually pretty good stay. The staff were great

On arrival the whole place looked derelict, a skip positioned near the front of the car park Room was fine, not large but had everything we needed for a one night stay. However, now that the Longford Inn has been closed as a local community pub and restaurant, and only services guests at the hotel?? Our evening meal was mediocre at best, overcooked dried out burger, with no attempt at presentation, pale chips and white coleslaw thrown onto a white plate. The bar was very limited in what was available, no draft ale, Doombar the only bottled 'ale' available. Breakfast the next morning was extremely disappointing, should not have bothered and gone to a local cafe. I would recommend if you are staying here, book somewhere else for food. The Queens Head down the road, or go into Gloucester or Cheltenham. We have stayed here several times previously and always enjoyed the food and atmosphere in the bar and restaurant. Will definitely look elsewhere in the future. Such a shame as was always a nice place

Wonderful, friendly staff from check in, to eating in the restaurant, and checking out. Rooms and bathrooms rather smaller than the usual Premier inn size, but it was clean and well furnished. No air con, but a fan was provided, so with the window open and the fan blowing away the air was a little cooler in the room. Had to eat in the bar as there wasn't enough staff to cater for the bar and the restaurant, but actually, this was better because it was quite full and there was a good atmosphere. Food was a little overcooked for my liking, but tasted OK. Breakfast, again the bacon was over cooked but plenty of choice, so I didn't go hungry. Tables we're cleared and cleaned as soon as guests left.

Standard for the premier inn. Only issue was the beefeater next door for breakfast. Rather poor unfortunately.

Unbelievably slow service/staff. I went in for cookie just before lunch on a Thursday or Friday and they were preparing about 9 or 10 sandwiches for people that weren’t even there in the shop waiting! I asked if I could just get the cookie and the staff member was visibly annoyed and I could tell then deliberately started moving extremely more slowly than before. Very childish and frustrating experience.

Easy to order slightly confusing where to collect order from but otherwise really good service. Hi Neville, no this was from your main bakery off Bristol road, rang number on door several times only to get answer phone, finally scared some poor chap coming out the door and he fetched my order for me. Bless him 😆 (Can't see how to reply to your comment sorry)
