Great rooms with lots of comfort and space. Hotel in a great location by the sea with many restaurants and sights around. Highly recommended!

Seems promising at the start (except for the fact you have to PAY FOR PARKING), but you get to your room and I assume that unless you pay for the view, I saw a brick wall...

Lovely location, plenty of local eateries, if you don't fancy the Brewer's Fayre. Only stayed the one night, but it was roasting hot. In February! Had to put the supplied fan on to get any sleep. Ground floor, street facing, so didn't fancy propping the window open from a noise perspective, although there was very little, but it was pointless as there was zero air movement. Will stay again, but I hope for a sea facing room on the 1st floor.

We spent a few days at this hotel and overall it was a mixed experience - with a few highlights, but also a few things that bothered us. The staff was super friendly and helpful, really a big plus! The rooms were clean, which is always an important criterion for us. Our room was particularly great with a direct view of the sea and a lighthouse - that was really fantastic and made the stay special. Breakfast was good, although a little pricey (£10.99) and the choice could have been a little larger. But it was tasty! By the way, the breakfast room is in a restaurant right next door, which is probably also part of the hotel. You can also eat there in the evening, and the price was completely reasonable. The location of the hotel is really practical: there is a bus stop right in front of the door, and the nearest tram station is only about five minutes away on foot. For those traveling by car, parking is available for just £3 per day. There are also useful things like shampoo and a hairdryer in the room. Now we come to the points that we didn't like so much. The WiFi was an absolute disaster! Both the normal and premium WiFi (which costs extra) are simply switched off completely from 10 p.m. In addition, normal WiFi is extremely slow (less than 1 Mbit/s). That's really not possible these days! The heating also annoyed us a bit: it takes forever to warm up, goes off when you pull out the room card (because then the circuit is interrupted), and sometimes just resets itself to 18 degrees. Luckily it doesn't get really cold in the room, but it's pleasantly different - especially because the bathroom doesn't have any heating at all. We also had a problem with a leaky window during heavy rain. The rooms could generally use a renovation. You can tell that they already have a few years under their belt. The prices are quite cheap in the off-season - but in the summer it gets quite expensive. Bottom line: There are definitely lights and shadows with this hotel. If you can overlook the weaknesses (especially the WiFi and heating), it's okay for a short trip - especially because of the location and the great sea views. But if you value modern amenities or are traveling in the summer, you may want to look for an alternative.

Room quality is poor. First room allocated the sink did not drain. So we were moved for the 2nd and subsequent nights to another room, but this one's bath did not drain. One of the lamps did not work by the mirror, and the door did not close without a manual intervention to pull it shut with a loud BANG. Reported all issues to reception, advised they were fixed but they were not. When we had asked for the room to be cleaned and bed made, the room service staff would take out the towels we were using and not replace them, meaning another pointless trip to reception, press the buzzer and wait for someone to bother to appear and then have to ask for towels that should have been left in the room!! Infuriating, and let alone the environmental impact of endless pointless towel cleaning! Disappointed about the chain's policy of not cleaning hotel rooms each day as standard - we are now well post Covid-19 and no measures in place for it are followed any longer (2m distancing, wearing of face masks, provision and necessity for hand sanitiser stations throughout the hotel), so a policy introduced to protect guests & staff during the pandemic is no longer necessary, so why avoid cleaning the rooms unless a guest has asked, and they have to ask!! Appalling!! This is skimpflation, pure and simple, and will deter me remaining a repeat customer of your chain. The Brewer's Fayre next door - breakfast was ok, but the kitchen had a tendency to overcook everything. Hash browns were like rock; fried eggs were rubbery and left out for too long; for the evening meal I had to send 2 sirloin steaks back as they were overcooked and the chef failed to get it right either time, but I got hungry so ate an overcooked disappointing item; the same chef sent out macaroni cheese bites with the centres still frozen. You're getting a picture of poor customer experience not even remedied by the catering, I hope. Travelodge, Holiday Inn, Marriott, AirBnB - you must improve or you will have seen the last of us. I used to extol how much I liked your chain, but am more likely to be critical and not recommend it to anyone any longer, your standards have slipped so far. Could be so much better.

An okay place to stay but no wifi in the part of the hotel we stayed in - above reception. The blind in the room on the velux window opened spontaneously around 6 am. with a huge bang and flooded the room with light! Maybe that's the early morning wake-up call that some guests request. Not sure if we'd stay again as it's not what I'd expect from a Premier Inn.

Visited this hotel a few years back during my visit to Edinburgh. The hotel is located in fair distance from the City Center but you can easily get public transport there and back. The hotel is rated as a 3.5 on Google but I believe it all depends on mentality you're visiting this hotel in. I know what I was expecting and this hotel have certainly met my expectations

I'll start our with the positives as the staff do actually deserve recognition. On arrival we were checked in slightly early, he could see we had our hands full with twin babies and a 6 year old, that was so helpful. Any questions we asked were also answered in a helpful manner. However, there was hardly ever anyone on the main reception so a lot of the times we had to grab someone in the hallways. When we arrived in our room we realised that me, my partner, my 6 year old and the two babies (two cots) were cramped into a tiny room. We were staying with other people and when we looked at their room they had a huge room with space for the two cots and a single bed (not in use), we asked to switch and they said yes, but it just seemed like an odd choice. In all fairness, it could have been because of the pushchair, but it still seemed a bit odd. We asked for the bed to be made in this room for our son. An hour after his bedtime we were told there weren't any sheets available, they 'couldn't find them'. So we had to go down to the original room, take all of the sheets off and use them. The bathroom also smelt horrifically like wee.

Location wise, this is a super setting, right on the harbour. There are beautiful views. However, this particular PI was not up to the usual standards I've come to expect from Premier Inn. They have a reputation for really comfortable beds and bedding, so much so that they sell their range online! However, this was not the case here, which was hugely disappointing as this is the main factor in booking with this chain. The bed was uncomfortable. With 2 of us in it, it was so sagging, we rolled into each other. The pillows and bedding were cheap and uncomfortable. Despite the great location, we will not be stopping here again.

Premier Inn,s do what they say on tge tin. Good, clean accommodation at a good price. This one has end of line tram stop 5 minute walk away running across town to airport every 7 minutes. Didn,t see much of Leith due to wind & rain but worth a visit in decent weather. Service/ Check in fast & straight forward. As usual, a Brewers Fayre alongside.

Lovely welcome at reception. Room immaculate, comfortable bed and great shower. All you expect at Premier Inn and Leith is possibly the best managed one we have stayed in. Staff so friendly and welcoming. The room was best we’ve experienced. Large relaxing arm chairs improve comfort in room. Housekeeping staff well trained to deliver spotless comfortable accommodation. Amazing location on waterfront with free parking. Only 20 mins into Edinburgh centre by bus which are every few minutes. Highly highly recommend and our only ever choice for any future stays in Edinburgh.

Not been in here for years...we were in the hall the other day for a reception after a friend's funeral. Good size function suite, bar on that side, the family had it set up with sandwiches and refreshments. Even though it was a sad occasion, it was good to sit together and get a chat with friends and family. The bar staff were great, helpful and friendly. Good sized toilets, all clean. Easy to get to by bus and also plenty of parking.
