Perfect place for visiting Edinburgh. Right in the middle of everything. Lots of pubs around, and places to eat. A really really good breakfast! Plenty on offer, nothing ran out and nothing was too much trouble for staff. The only negative was the bathroom could do with an over haul. Don't like seeing mould in the bathroom. If it wasn't for that I would have given it full stars.

Outstanding Service from Lauren – A True Credit to Premier Inn! I cannot thank Lauren enough for her incredible kindness and support during my stay at the Premier Inn Edinburgh City Centre (Princes Street). I unexpectedly found myself in an emergency situation feeling unwell, and she went above and beyond to help me. Her care, professionalism, and genuine concern made such a difference, and I felt truly looked after. Throughout my entire stay, Lauren continued to check in and ensure we were okay and happy. Her warmth and dedication to excellent service were evident in everything she did. It’s rare to come across someone so passionate about their role, and she is a true asset to this hotel. Because of Lauren, I would highly recommend this Premier Inn to anyone visiting Edinburgh. She made what could have been a difficult experience so much easier, and I will always be grateful for her help. Thank you, Lauren – you are amazing!

Nice and modern hotel. Everything is up to scratch. Nice and helpful reception staff. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is lush. Romm let a little of traffic noise from outside when the window is opened, but with closed window and air con on it was a quiet night. Would recommend the place for both family stay and business travel.

I don't often leave reviews, but the staff were superb. Give. It's Christmas, I had to place a naughty elf in the room! Off their own backs, the manager (I can't remember your name - sorry!) helped me conjour up a magical experience for our little one. We don't celebrate enough when people go above and beyond, so thank you!

Waited 1.5 hours to check in as they only had one desk open with a que going out the door. They told me to use the machine to check in (which did not work) so I had to back to the back of the Que. also went into the room with a castle view and there is dust everywhere. Dust on coat hangers, dust in the fridge, black dots on the shower skirting, red sauce on the bed sheet and stains all over the carpet. Window is filthy aswell so can barely actually see the castle

Decent hotel, staff were really friendly and were honestly happy to help! Great breakfast and dinner in the restaurant couldn’t gault it for the money and position. Only negatives are no parking and Princes Road does not allow cars (only trams and buses can drive down there).

We stayed here for the Taylor Swift concerts a couple of months ago, and I genuinely cannot fault the experience at all. We had great service and felt it was good value for money. To start, the location was brilliant, very central, on straight tram and bus routes to the airport, the zoo, and Murrayfield Stadium, as well as being in walking distance of Edinburgh Castle and many other attractions. Loads of coffee shops, restaurants, pubs (including a few Weatherspoon's), and shops nearby too; there was also a 24-hour McDonald's nearby (for the obligatory post-concert munch), and the hotel was also right next door to a Poundland, which was very useful for picking up some last minute bits. It was very easy to find once we got to Princes Street. The room was exactly as expected: comfortable, clean and spacious, and had a nice view of the city. When we arrived, there was an information sheet with the main routes to and from Murrayfield Stadium, which was very helpful in planning our way to and from the venue, and saved us a lot of time both before and after the concert. We did not book breakfast with our room, but it was available. The hotel also has a luggage room to leave your bags until your room is ready, which was very useful! The cherry on top for us though was the service we received from the staff. From doing their best to get us checked in early so we could get ready for the concert to being on hand to recommend attractions, places to eat (Kasia was particularly helpful with this), etc., they were all so lovely and welcoming. We needed a new sheet on our bed, and as soon as we asked, they got it done for us without issue. I do have to give a special mention to one girl, I can't remember her name (it could be Lauren, but I'm not sure—she really likes Taylor Swift, and I believe she was going to all 3 concerts if it helps identify her!!), who went all out for all the Swifties staying over, giving friendship bracelets themed to each specific night, chatting about different theories and possible surprise songs, and being around the next morning for a full concert debrief. The main lobby area was decorated for the shows, as well as the lifts. I also believe she was responsible for the little goody bags that were left on the door of every room after the show, which were filled with Taylor Swift themed goodies such as stickers, keychains, scrunchies, postcards and funky sunglasses, all themed to different eras, which was such a nice surprise. That said, all the staff we encountered in the hotel, even if it was just for a minute, were so friendly and welcoming, it was easily some of the best service we've had in a hotel. Thank you to everyone! We would definitely come back here if we were to come back to Edinburgh!

We went on a family trip, 5 adults and a little girl. We arrived at the hotel on August 3, 2024 around 1:30 p.m. and it turned out that we couldn't check in until 3 p.m. sharp and they kept us waiting there until then despite asking if they could do it earlier if the room was already ready (they asked for money if you wanted to do it sooner). The blonde receptionist with false eyelashes was unpleasant, she seemed to be bothered that it was difficult for us to speak English and she did nothing to try to understand us, she gave us a look of displeasure if we made the wrong pronunciation or word, she simply spent the time looking at her cell phone. They don't help at all to make themselves understood. The room is nice but cleanliness was conspicuous by its absence. You had to notify the reception every day to have it cleaned and they simply spread the duvet on the bed, picked up the rubbish, changed towels and added tea bags. Nothing to clean. The dryer was a disaster, it didn't work well and it stopped. I found the breakfast poor. Little fruit and no hot milk. An excellent location.

Pros: the view from our room was superb (see image). There are two bus stations just in front, so location is great. Cons: the windows, similarly to other Premier Inns we've been to, cannot be open. If you like air, you need to count on AC. The AC is capricious. It's turning off just like in the middle of night, so you'll wake up sweating. The showers are again the result, so it seems, of a strategic water saving plan: you get a weak trickle which cannot be called a shower. Service: the staff is young and friendly but maybe not the most professional: we left a bag of laundry to be collected and they told the laundry guy that there was nothing for him to collect... So don't count on them for complex requests. TV: I know, I'm not supposed to watch TV when I'm on vacation. But sometimes you do. And this hotel's TV is really unique: there is an average 5 seconds wait time between the moment you push a button on the remote to the moment it graciously decides to respond. It turns TV watching into a nightmare. Maybe this is just to encourage me to go out?

One if the better premier inns I have stayed in. This one has location rooms and public areas in good repair and offered good value for a multi night stay. The view from the room was STUNNING.

Affordable accomodation in a central location. Tram stop, shops, and restaurants nearby. Rooms are basic as you would expect but quite spacious for a hotel of this category. Nothing to complain about here. Staff is friendly, breakfast is decent.
