Hey! Had Dal Tarka, Basmati Rice and Bindi curry. It was good and freshly prepared. If you’re hungry better to go with main side size. Also the Masala Tea is very nice.

Absolutely fantastic!! Tried many different Indian takeaways in Edinburgh and this is by far the best.

I have tried all Indian hotels in Edinburgh including Dangal. One thing is common everywhere except a few and really frustrating they all use the exactly same formula of tomato curry paste for making any Punjabi Mains /side dishes /curries. I think all the cooks have learnt from the same cook. They should keep some variations. Thanks.

Excellent home-cooked Indian cuisine!

We had dinner there on Sunday and have been talking about it still! It was sooooo good! One of the best restaurants we've ever been to, great food and great service. Everything was very clean as well and the employees were extremely friendly! Great price quality too! Don't hesitate to go there, honestly! 5 stars overall!!

Dangal was recommended to me by my close friend. And I’m glad that I visited here. It’s a 10/10 place for Indian food lovers. Don’t forget to order their mixed grill.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Edinburgh. I adore their lamb Punjabi handi and chicken Chettinad. Also, the ambiance was good; definitely a good dining place visit.

The food at Dangal was excellent. They have an extensive menu of traditional Indian dishes. It is a nice place to dine with family and friends. Highly recommended!

My first time ordering delivery from Dangal Take away .I was initially impressed by the fresh food and perfect timing. I had order Samos chat and chicken biryani it was so good. Especially biryani the taste of all the spices were divine and the portions were perfect. If you love Indian food you can’t go wrong here - there’s a very good reason to visit. Delivery took over 2 hours on a Tuesday! Food was cold with the wrong food being delivered and undercooked. No communication from them. Never going back here, lots of better Indian food out there.

I had an absolutely delicious meal at Dangal and would recommend it for vegetarian and vegan choices.

Do love the food at this takeaway, but today's takeaway was really luke warm (and I live just around the corner). The last one I had I notice the aubergine pakora's were also luke warm and on previous take ways I had same experience as other reviewer with popadoms (although today they tasted lovely and fresh) so a question is arising about how freshly cooked all the food is... ?

I had roti, pulao and veg khorma all tasted good. Price is UK price :p

I was in Edinburgh for 4 days and happened to go to Dnagal. I wanted some Indian dishes as I am an Indian, and Dangal came as a pleasant surprise. The food was original Indian flavoured and with good portion for a reasonable price. Good ambience and polite owner is a plus side.

I love the place. Nice and authentic Indian cuisine. Especially thanks to Sachin. Must try place if you visit Edinburgh.

First time ordering and last. Inedible food, I threw most of it in the bin. First no poppadoms, although they should’ve been included with deal. Pakoras dry and tasteless. Then lamb dish incredibly salty, and dansak dish extremely hot- if I wanted a vindaloo curry I would’ve ordered one. Utter garbage, I don’t know how you stay in business! And worst of it, I can’t even ask for my money back despite not being able to eat your food! NEVER AGAIN!! I’ll be sticking with St Johns curry club, at least their food doesn’t end up in the bin.

Probably the worst meal I have ever eaten out. Both the salmon and the lamb chops cooked in the tandoor, were incinerated. The sag aloo consisted of lumps of reheated potato in a spinach purée. The roti was cold and tired. Beware of public reviews… I was convinced this would be good based on what I read.

Very bad food. All taste same. Order from the app don’t know where my order is, u can’t track it, try to phone them goes into automatic voice message as they r very busy can’t understand why as bad service, bad food why people still order it from them

Good portion and flavorful food

This is a shout out to Pavan at Leith brach. Such a humble person and the way we have been dealt with for all our orders was fantastic. We became their regular customer during our 9 nights stay and Pavan's gestures in terms of food quantity and one day adding extra dish for free just made me speechless. The taste and prices are good. You memorise places and people you meet during your tour and Pavan is one of the person I won't forget. It's not always about food, taste but the behaviour counts a lot. Much more to say but do try their food and get discount on your first order, call them if you are unsure. For Pakistani people do ask them not to make sweet curries and they will tailor your way.

We had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was lively. The staff were especially helpful and we would like to thank Sachin for his exceptional service and friendliness! We enjoyed our dinner so much that we ended up going there two days in a row! I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Edinburgh.

Don't judge the restaurant by the external appearance!! The food is absolute quality, excellent value and delicious. My wife and I love curry and very nearly gave it a miss cos it looked quite shady from the outside. Great food. Excellent service. Only criticism is they don't have beer on tap.

The main was also made with fresh ingredients and tasting wonderful too. Their chef is very talented. The delivery was very friendly. I shall be using this restaurant again! The best.

Ordered twice last week amazing food, great value for money. There a lots of great choice which is hard to find in any Indian takeaways. A lot of vegetarian choices and saag paneer is dying for. Highly recommend the place and will surely will order from this place going forward.

Horrible experience....tried 3 times expecting it would be better this time. But every time failed to maintain quality....one of the worst food I ever tried in Edinburgh. I am single working professional, hence mostly depending on outside food. So know well who makes what... You should try this if you are looking for Burnt charcoal lamb chops, Chicken in vegetarian aubergine masala...meat quality super bad... Had experienced 3 times hence putting such hard review.
