Excellent dinner. Pizza is on point. Giampiero almost reminded me we were in Southern Italy. Service was friendly and efficient.

traditional Italia pizza and taste great! Highly recommend pizza no.8 and tiramisu, and waiters (or the owners ) are nice and friendly! recommend! The eighth pizza is delicious, and the desserts are also delicious. If you want sauce, I recommend the seasonal one. The clerk is also very friendly and easy to communicate with. His tongue-twisting accent is very interesting. Hahaha, there is a set meal during Christmas and the price is very suitable. In the end, the clerk also gave a gift The desserts were super nice! His name is Giampiero, you can ask him to order food!

Went in for lunch by myself. Felt welcomed and not uncomfortable dining alone. Staff welcoming, service super efficient. Food hot, fresh and very tasty. Look forward to returning with friends and family.

Good pizza if you can wait for it Even in the freezing cold rain there was a pretty sizable queue, so be prepared. It was worth it though, the pizza was delicious. Service was a bit slow, but to be expected when they're absolutely swamped. Not crazy expensive either, so if you're looking for something decent (i.e. you don't need the best), then this might be a good choice for you. Aubergine, tomato and mozzarella bake, 5/10, we had this to start, and I actually wasn't all that impressed. The tomato sauce lacked flavour and overall it just lacked cohesion to make it taste more than just the components baked in a dish. Pepperoni pizza, 8/10, classic combo done right, the bread was a standout though being chewy and charred in all the right places. Mushroom burrata pizza with added speck, 7/10, I decided to try something a bit different, no tomato base. It was advertised as having truffle, but that was barely detectable. It was still nice though. Burrata came on top, cold. It makes sense because burrata would just disappear in a pizza oven, but I felt the cold cheese clashed a bit with the hot pizza, perhaps would have been better added near the end to be a bit more melted. Overall I think there's better pizza out there, and for cheaper too. That said, Franco Manca being a chain you can rest assured the quality will be high wherever you go, and sometimes that's what you need.

we had a wonderful evening, food / service and super welcome. The Sicilian boy who served us was very good, polite and exquisite. I recommend this pizzeria because it is in the center,the pizza is light and the place is very welcoming.

I understand this chain aims to provide as much food as possible giving less investment in service quality, however I ought to leave my honest opinion. Tables were too close with each other (meaning not much of a privacy). Stuff although polite and friendly, in times they were having too much fun with each other which (in my eyes) seems a bit unprofessional, but not annoying. We ordered pizzas, they were quite delicious but the base dough was too thin and too soft you actually couldn’t hold one piece with your one hand. All in all a good restaurant with tasty pizza options, but definitely you could find a much better pizza with a higher price.

Great place. This was my first time here. The pizzas are very nice indeed and the service was excellent.

We've been here several times, and Giampiero has always been the best. He provides great service and is always very friendly, and makes good conversation. (If you like Slipknot and Death Note, he's the server for you.) Food is always great also.

Went in last week, before a theatre show, restaurant was busy and all we had to do was let Giampiero know we were tight on time. Wow he got our food out swiftly and we were in time for the show. Thanks!

Food is great, though staff could definitely do with more training. They won't check on you or offer desserts or coffee after pizzas.

We have visited many pizzerias in Italy, but had to go to Edinburgh to eat the best pizza ever :-) The pizza dough is absolutely great and the topping combinations are unique.

Giampiero was an absolute legend! The food was great and came out very quickly.

I went to this branch of Franco Manca on 22 June with my wife. We had Pizza and Coffees which was very nice and the staff was also very welcoming. But, next day we went to the same restaurant which was not even half filled that time. We sat there and asked for 2 cups of coffee. But, the bearded person from staff said that we can't sit there as they don't want to give seat to those ordering just coffee. He then advised us to go away and check some other cafe that allows such order. Will never visit here again. This was the only bad memory of our trip to Edinburgh.

Lovely light fluffy gluten free base, obviously not great for celiacs as made in a kitchen with flour & CC but the taste was great. Nice chilled jazz music & a relaxed vibe for a mid week lunch. Homemade lemonade not too tart but nice & fresh.

The food was all very delicious. Now, the service, TERRIBLE. They scammed us with a supposed tip at the end that they put in our account without saying anything at all, and also on the ticket it says that it is OPTIONAL! And yet, they charged us for it. A shame and a scam.

The food was delicious. We went there a few times during our visit to Edinburgh. Especially my kid was so fond of the pizzas. We were served by Giampiero who was very friendly and kept running around for our endless requests. Totally recommend this place and the food.

Lovely little place. We arrived at about 4pm, it was fairly quiet, drinks and food both arrived very fast but the pizza would definitely be worth waiting for if it was busier. Will definitely be visiting again. Also the homemade lemonade is so nice!

Caught it just before the evening rush and was staggered by how quickly the food came. The pizza was to die for. Really enjoyed it and will be visiting again.

The Food was below average, the customer service was very low, wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t go back, They charged us twice after telling us the first time payment didn’t go through, when we asked for rejection receipt they said it didn’t go through but on our bank it has. Had to call VISA to try to get my money back. I know they were busy but trying to cheat your way with tourists is not a good way to run a business!

Sourdough pizza is incredible! We tried 2 pies for takeaway and enjoyed them so very much that we returned for two more. And their lemonade - phenomenal! Lovely staff and atmosphere - I wish we had sourdough pizza back home!

One of the best pizzas in town!

Ate here for the first time yesterday evening and I wasn't disappointed. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was brilliant. I don't like how some places add a service charge automatically to the bill - I always feel that is a bit cheeky, but the service was such that I would have happily tipped the staff. I remember reading that the best judgement of a pizza place is with the margarita, which is what I usually have anyway - and I was not disappointed. Whenever I'm back in Edinburgh, I will definitely pay a flying visit here again. Recommended - oh, and the gents toilets were clean too, which is yet another boon for this establishment!

We didn't have a reservation on Saturday evening, and they were very polite and arranged a table by waiting 2 minutes. It has solution-oriented and friendly staff. It was intense but nothing went wrong. One person works at the pizza and we were amazed. We tried pizzas number 2 and number 10, the dough and ingredients were very delicious. Spicy olive oil went great on it. The prices are very affordable. We paid 25 pounds with drinks and found it very affordable for the amazing taste. Tiramisu looked delicious but we were very full. Thank you very much chef 👏🙌

Great for eating pizza! Still water costs nothing, and tiramisu was included on the house. Pizza was very tasty and came very quickly. Very tasty pizzas which come from a real pizza oven. (Which you can also see live) Very nice waiters and great ambience. In addition, the toilets were very clean.

Guyzzz if you are travelling to Edinburgh and fond of pizzas then don’t miss this awesome place for amazing lip smacking tastyyyy pizzaasss and mind blowing tirsmisu !!! Hatts of to the chef.Definitely give it a try❤️❤️. And when we are about to leave Christoph offered us a dessert to try and didn’t even added that in our bill. The service was really applauding and felt like our family is serving the food and hence became a reason for us to visit this place again. Fantastic hospitality

We were three people, the pizza of the table that ordered 15 minutes after us arrived, ours arrived after that. We waited so long for our orders to arrive. That's why I had to miss the train and take the next train 1 hour and 45 minutes away. Do not go during crowded periods and be sure to check your account.

I want to thank the Franco Manca team in St. Andrews Square Edinburgh. My husband and I were there last night. Although we arrived at a hectic moment, we were welcomed by a fantastic member of the staff, Giampiero. He informed us that the waiting time was about 10 minutes. After a little while, he accompanied us to a table and helped us with our order. I am vegan and gluten-free, and my husband is vegetarian. Giampiero was knowledgeable about all the ingredients and different dishes on the menu. We enjoyed a mouthwatering pizza, a tasty homemade lemonade and a flavorful coffee. The atmosphere is vibrant and positive, and team members like Giampiero make the difference between a lovely experience and a stressful one in a busy location. I could not recommend this place more. Thank you all.

Amazing food. Loved Margerita with Three chili mix and olives. Services were really quick and good. Staff was friendly and welcoming. We were served by Giampiero and Adrianna. Really loved their services.

Well... I love sourdough and the edge of the pizza was quite tasty, the rest of the pizza base was basically non-existent, it was rolled out so thin - either you had to get the topping onto the fork somehow or you got the topping from the middle placed over the edge and eaten like that. You definitely couldn't eat the pizza like a normal pizza. The topping was generally rather lukewarm and somehow very oily. At the beginning you get a free bottle of water with glasses, which was nice but the bill is rather misleading. There are two amounts in bold on it - first the actual payment amount, then the payment amount with an optional 10% tip. If you don't look closely, it looks as if the amount is listed once with and once without taxes and you round it up again for tips. In our case, this meant that we tipped around 25% and therefore paid around €50 for 2 pizzas and a pizza bread for our son, which didn't blow us away because of the thin dough. We won't come again.

We visited during the Fridge 2024. Saturday 17th of August. The pizza its self was great, value wise was ok, we were stuffed. It did taste very good and the crusts were nice and fluffly! I do not like to complain but where it went south was when I asked what the specials were on the board and if it was pizza. The server said no its not pizza, i expected to be told its this or that, or this is the pizza on special but I was greeted with a blank expression, no suggestions or take a look at this or that. Then the final bill came, It showed the amount and a option 10% service charge. I don't leave service charges as that should be incorporated into the cost by the business - this isn't America! anyway the server approached with the card machine and had already included the 10% optional charge. I queried this and they pointed to the receipt saying optional, I agreed that it was indeed optional so why did they type it into the machine, present it to me for payment assuming I was going to pay the extra 10%. The staff member didn't seem to understand, but this assumption made me pretty angry, given the food was great this left a sour taste. An example that we had a coffee later that day and the server pointed out the option charge BEFORE entering the total into the card machine, pointing this out to me. I hope they don't do this to everyone unsuspecting member of the public, especially visiting tourists who may not realise what it is.

This is not Franco Manca, fake restaurant and poor quality compared with other branch in stockbridge which is amazing and I gave that one 5 stars and it deserves even 10!!

Lovely place for pizza and it isn't too expensive. The service is always quick and pleasant. Can sometimes get a bit loud and the tables are a tad close together. You can sometimes feel like you are sat in a corridor if sat next to the drinks/food prep area. The pizza is worth it though!

Food is excellent and the staff were nice, But if your going to have a "completely optional" 10% service charge it should be opt in - not opt out. Either pay your staff more, or make the prices reflect the actual costs but don't try and pass an additional charge on to the customer. Also, if it is optional, teach your staff to not be visibly offended and rude when I ask to remove it from the bill.

We ate at another branch of this brand and liked their pizza very much. We went to this branch to eat again. The inside was 97% empty and a waiter asked us how many people we were. We said we were 2 people and he showed us a table for 2 people in the middle of the restaurant. The restaurant is empty, we don't want to sit in the middle, we asked if we could sit at the empty tables on the sides. “No no,” he said. That's when we said "Bye Bye". Barzo waiter, boo to you! Note: the comment in the image is the comment of the barzo waiter victim who shared the same fate with me. This bearded waiter is apparently unhappy and does not like pizza. I hope they take him out of the customer contact position and make him chop wood in the back.

The restaurant is terrible. The food is terrible and expensive. I ordered a glass of wine for 7 pounds and only got a small glass, which is very deceiving. The pizza is very thin and has no meat at all. It costs more than ten pounds and a pizza is not worth it at all. not full

The male waiter who took our order was very rude and did not treat us well, despite the restaurant not being busy. I don't recommend it. Twitter had a bad and racist behavior, and I do not recommend the restaurant
