Live music was great (Amberlights), and the bartender was super nice too! Maybe the place needs more seating or better seating. The chairs are like a mismatch and not the most comfortable.

Live music was good country style. I just did not get the fact that they dont serve any snacks , fries, etc, at the bar. just that they have the restaurant side of the place next door far from live music. I do not expect any main course, but snacks goes well with beer and drinks.

We go to hear the live music. Food is good also. . Pop in and have a listen to the Invaders, mostly 60's and guitarists has a few tunes that include harmonica( wagonwheel) Class! Mostly folk pop in on an evening to listen to bands. Always a great atmosphere, never any trouble, just laid back and chill. Staff are fabby.

Great live music on a Thursday night

Good intertainment live bands ,the bar is well run you don,t have to wait for service .The only thing I see that is needing done it needs refurbished and modernised .

Venue that decides whether it's full by the gender of potential customers. Update: Thank you for confirming that this aligns with your entry policy. The door staff clearly stated that there are "too many men in the group" and denied entry. This was for a group of 6, while the bar was not overcrowded (following mixed groups were allowed in, while leaving groups were hassled to make sure they didn't leave any male friends behind). The door staff expressed fear of repercussions from management and indicated they were following instructions. As such the door staff trying to keep their job, is most likely at no fault here. I am sure an employment tribunal would be able to assist with the case should their position be unfairly affected.

Awesome spot with live music everyday until 3am. Definitly check out the Nicole Smit trio! Fun bar, fun people, Good vibe! Only thing that bothered me is when It's 3am, the security guys just started to bother everyone to go out and finish their drink. Not cool. But hey, the music is definitly a plus! The bar's good mostly because of the live music. The band that I mentioned earlier did alot for the vibe! Cheers!

Walked in to shelter from rain, ended up staying till early hours, great atmosphere, great staff, even the doorman sings a song , fair prices , live bands ...what more do you need....

Quirky bar centre of Edinburgh. Live music with a pleasant atmosphere. Drinks are reasonably priced and staff friendly. Would definitely return for a chilled out evening session.

Just ate during fringe. Food good, staff friendly, BUT, a six year old can have as much Parmesan on his pasta as he likes (doesn’t like it at all) but gets charged 50p for tiny cup of cheddar!!! Ridiculous!!! Lose a star for being cheapskates!

Great wee addition to the live music scene (at weekends). Some really good bands in here after 9pm.

Limited ale selection but they did have a few decent bottles. The cocktail bar styling puts me off at bit. Really enjoyed the live music and the style changes each evening.
