Very handy to NEC, plenty of places within walking to eat. Room was very cold when we arrived, had to ramp up the heating.

I have stayed in this hotel many times over the years when exhibiting at the NEC. On this occasion I arrived at reception to overhear 2 people complaining to the receptionist about the heating not working in their room. I witnessed the receptionist being fairly rude to them! Once in my room, it was fairly chilly but I prefer that to a hot room anyway so didn't compalin myself. However, over night i woke several times and I was really cold but I just got on with it. In the morning I wanted a shower and found there was no hot water at all. I left the tap running to see if there was a delay in the pipes for the hot water to run through, to no avail. There was no phone in my room to contact reception about the issue and I didnt want to walk down to reception in a towel, or bother getting partially dressed. Due to time restrainsts, I had to have an ice cold 30 second shower and then get on with my working day. I complained to reception about the lack of hot water and she just said "oh i've just re-set the boiler so it should be working now" , which was far too late as I needed to leave for work! This hotel used to be good about 8 years ago, but has severly gone down hill the last few years. This used to be my 'go to' hotel when visitng the NEC but sadly this is the final straw and I won't be booking again.

Bed was comfy, however quite dated inside, bathroom mouldy and rust marks on the bath. Bathroom floor falling apart and generally needs a good clean

Booked a package with hotel and airport parking so hard to say exactly how much the hotel part cost but overall found it very good value. Mia on reception was great and is a real asset to the hotel. Mia was friendly, helpful, efficient and an enthusiastic individual with drive. Room was spacious, with a comfy bed, chairs, tea/coffee and a bathroom with a bath and shower above. Free parking for guests was included. Recommended if flying from Birmingham.

For the price it's unbeatable and the Beefeater restaurant breakfast is excellent. Comfy beds, clean room, friendly staff. May need to park the car creatively. To nit pick it would be nice if those massive cobwebs could be removed from the reception area's vaulted ceilings some time after Halloween but otherwise a perfect stay. Thank you.

Don't let the exterior put you off! We stayed for one night, it was comfortable and quiet. Friendly, welcoming service. The breakfast was particularly good at the Beefeater next door, the maitre d' was very welcoming and attentive. Would definitely recommend.

Clean rooms and friendly hotel staff. Fantastic breakfast and fabulous staff in the Beefeater. Daughter has food allergies and the staff were very good at handling them and making her comfortable.

Great premier standard as always the only down fall was there was an outside light on an adjacent wall that shone in the room all night and throught the curtains and because of how thr ceiling met the window the curtains could not be pull passed to block out the light hence very little sleep

Its a typical premier inn, dated decor, noisy floors and poor heating. Cooked breakfast was pretty poor, rubbery fatty bacon, tomatoes grilled to death, barley cooked eggs... Stay was ok, breakfast not ok..

First time I’ve stayed in a Premier Inn and wasn’t disappointed. Easy to locate, the rooms were clean and fresh. The bed was lovely and clean, and very comfy. The bathroom was clean and in proportion to the rest of the room. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, as were the restaurant staff and both were a credit to the company. Will definitely stay here again, as it’s close to the NEC.

Never made a secret of the fact that I'm a fan of Premier Inns. This one is no exception. Facilities, staff, rooms all wonderful. There's a Beefeater next door, so brekky and evening meal sorted. Grub was great; simple, nutritious and reasonably priced. Staff were lovely and the place is just off a roundabout on an 'A' road and dead easy to find. There's even a garage across the road if you need to top-up with fuel! What's not to like? Warning: if you use this place as a base for an NEC visit, probably best to drive and park. The route is remarkably straightforward. I was warned that local taxis are unreliable and personal experience showed that they are expensive for the length of trip involved. I suspect, in my case at least, that the punter is seen as a captive audience and a bit of a cash-cow. Beware. Learn from my experience and be prepared to haggle or wait for another cab, if they won't turn on the meter.

Room and bed was clean but it's close to HS 2 and it looked like a lot of workers use it ,could do with a major renovation especially the pub
