PRECIOUS RESTAURANT in Leicester

Good authentic food and it is very welcome. The jollof and fried rice is great, but where is my meat pie? 😂

The food was ok however not worth the price, I paid £16 for the dish named egusi soup with beef but instant of 4 pieces of meat we got 2 meats and 2 cartilages. Not recommend this place.

Egosi soup was ordered at shop for takeaway. Seems very expensive for a portion we got. Food was good in taste but we got 2 pieces of meat and 2 bones/cartilage. Not sure why we got given massive bones which they literally filled half of the container.

One of my Hospital friends took me here a couple of years ago before Xmas another years milestone we achieved. She treated us both to an Africian soup supper meal exactly what we both needed after our walk to Aldi for me to be able to buy some more toiletries. Lovely family restaurant welcoming a very enjoyable meal.

Precious catering anytime any day, I’ve ordered for food for event and it was really great, because of precious, I feel like doing party every time 😃 although I’ve not been to the physical restaurant before. I’ve referred Precious to people before and they were not disappointed, they really love the food too. I’ve planned to go to the restaurant one day and I wanted to go today but is closed due to the festival.☹️ I recommend precious catering services.👍🏽

I ordered a few snacks from Precious for an event we were running. Precious was very helpful in her responses and suggestions in terms of quantity and timing of delivery to maximise freshness of the food. We ordered suya, chin chin and a box of plantain chips, and Precious arranged for delivery by taxi. Everyone attending our event loved all of it, it was a huge success and I've already shared Precious' details with colleagues who are interested in ordering food too. Thank you so much Precious, especially as our order was confirmed at short notice!

Delicious authentic West African food 😋

Food was fair with friendly service. Not all items were available on the menu. Large portions and reasonable prices. We had the goat curry and the jollof rice with fish.

It was really a nice experience.

The food tasted nice. Had the mixed Okro and my friend had the Egusi soup. Tasted both 😂🤭 and it was really really good! and very filling as well.

We had the efo riro with pounded yam, fish and beef with eba, we thoroughly enjoyed and will definitely visit again! Very Delicious 😋

Never the food was cold, the amala wasn’t amala and the ewedu was sour. The meat was cold . I don’t recommend but the suya was okay .

Extremely rude and unprofessional. They get triggered easily and do not relate with customers kindly and appropriately. This is very bad for a business. Would not recommend.

The meal was fantastic had Edikai ikong soup and my friend had Afang and were left licking out fingers. Warm and hearty service overall experience was great

Not halal certified and very rude to customers

This restaurant is NOT HALAL! I did not get to try their food but I went there and before ordering, I asked if their food was halal. The Man’s answer wasn’t satisfactory and I asked if they were sure it is halal. He got soo triggered all of a sudden and became rude. All I wanted to know was if truly it was halal because there isn’t some sort of evidence on the restaurant door. All he had to do was explain more and re assure me it is indeed halal. There was no need to get condescending and rude. Well, I left the restaurant because I am not the one to eat at a restaurant with very poor customer service. It turns out my friend fell for their foolery the other day as they lied to her saying it’s halal but she found out it wasn’t and they just wanted her to stay. She also had a very terrible experience with their food. I wanted to give this restaurant a try despite seeing the negative reviews but apparently I made a huge mistake even trying. This terrible!!! If you truly want a certain category of customers then why not GENUINELY accommodate them? Instead of lying to them! Edit (10/05/2023) Once again, you are out here lying! You are saying you confirmed 3 times!??? You only responded once and got rude and condescending when I gave a counter response. If you had simply said “yes, all our suppliers are HMC registered” the second time I asked, that would have sufficed. Or you could have attempted offering a view of your certification since you don’t have any “Halal” Logo on your restaurant. But you wouldn’t do that would you? And we all know why! You certainly need to work on your attitude and customer service! TERRIBLE I TELL YOU You are also claiming we had a different intention regarding Alcohol!? LMAO if those customers that were in the restaurant claim we were looking at them, it was only because we were trying to place our orders and were looking out to see if you were coming. Again, you are here assuming our “intentions” based off false claims. How unethical and unprofessional can you get? No need to leave me to my conscience cause I am GLAD I did the right thing by LEAVING. Would have fallen for you GREEDY trap. However, I leave you to your own conscience CAUSE YOU KNOW FOR A FACT YOU ARE OUT HERE LYING TO PEOPLE. It will all come to an end one day!

The customer service was very poor,was quite disappointed.

Portions don’t match price. Very small portions for the amount you get. It seems they increase the price and reduce the portions also which doesn’t make sense in a cost of living crisis. I ordered the jollof with beef and I got spring rolls. The rolls and beef were nice. The jollof could be better- the rice was very hard/undercooked and the sauce just didn’t taste like original jollof. Then again, it’s very hard to find good jollof rice in Leicester. I liked the beef meat with the small stew. 3/5 stars Oh I also forgot to add, the fried rice is tasteless and they only include prawns when they feel like it- even though the description on menu says prawns are included. Not worth the money. I gave 3/5 stars last time but I’ll make it 1/5 this time as the staff and whoever responds to these reviews have no home training and respect for customers. Typical. Save your money and time. Unless you like to chew your jollof rice die or maybe you like bland, prawnless fried rice. The beef meat is nice when it’s not strong like stones.

Not many restaurants make me feel full and wanting more. The food I had at Precious Restaurant was drop dead gorgeous, the chicken was so easy to peel off the bone and the rice even had prawns and was beautifully spiced. The overall vibe of this place was also really relaxing it felt like I was home chilling. This place is a must go, 5/5 I wish I could rate higher!

Food is very good. We cannot fault it, but the portions are too small for an African Restaurant.

Went here today with a large party, gentleman who served us was lovely. Nothing was too much trouble, given her numerous demands for the kids, lovely food too!

Always a lovely and beautiful experience. Food made with love and authentic flavours. I always enjoy the music and the clean environment.

The food was cold, horrible and poor. The customer service was disgusting too but they later brought somebody else that saw sense. Couldn't believe they wanted me to pay 12 pounds for it. Luckily they saw sense and didn't make me pay for it. The best thing to get from here is Supermalt and other drinks. Stick to the drinks and you can't go wrong.

Their food was awesome but most importantly the old skool music there was out of the world.

The women who works at this place her customer service is incredibly terrible. The prices are very expensive but I still wanted to support this black business. The man is nice and understanding but even when explaining how I feel to him the lady was shouting down the phone. This is not how our people should represent themselves. Never ordering from this place again.

I can’t praise Precious Foods, and Blessing who I dealt with, enough. I contacted them needing food for an event for 20 people in 3 days time. They advised me on the menu, adjusted the quote when my numbers changed, and communicated very responsively throughout the process. The food arrived on time and it’s was delicious. The different rices, chicken, goat curry, etc was all cooked to perfection, with great flavour and just the right amount of spice. I highly recommend them.

So tight with food we didn't get much it was a joke considering how much we paid other African restaurants gave us more than this.. I got 2 peices if beef!! Real joke! Never ordering from here again. This was a fish stew this small amount if fish was a joke!

Very satisfied with the food served here. Very good portions and most of the time when you finish eating there's enough to take home. The head cook is lovely and very polite. I would definitely recommend it to others. It is a family friendly place and at night is the perfect place for an evening meal.
