The small fish and chips (gujon) were top class, the gazebo chicken was tasty but the chicken curry was poor. Service was perfect but overall one star lost due to inconsistent dishes

Came here for a work event. Absolutely fantastic service. The seating upstairs is amazing and I could not fault the food one bit. All of the meat was cooked to perfection. The fries were delicious and they even gave out ice cream for dessert. 10/10 from me will definitely come here again!

This is my local chippy. Family run business. You can't go wrong with a large fish and chips with a large curry sauce and a large chips with all the sources especially chilli sauce. The lamb donner and chips are very good to. The food is good and the service is quick and friendly. The Gazibo chicken is finger licking tasty you can't go wrong with these African style chicken flavours. The prices are reasonable. Give it a go. They also have a dinning in restaurant accross the Road with lots of dishes on the menu with plenty of seating the have to floors for small gathering. The owners a top bloke.

I was invited to someone's house for a celebration meal. The food was catered by Al Barakah, the food was spoilt. When the person raised this with them, they basically insulted this elderly vulnerable person who invited us to their home by indicating they were lying and offered no resolution. The meal was not for one person but a party of us. We are all witness to the food being spoilt. You would expect a well established caterer to take ownership of their shortcomings but no. Absolutely terrible, I feel sorry for this elderly widow. We have friends and family too and will not shy away from sharing our experience. With all due respect in my humble opinion this is not the way to bring about barakah, with a name like that you would honestly expect better. Bi'idhnillah. Sorry to say but I spent Eid with this person and they were in bits and very unhappy because they felt that they really disappointed their guests, it was not their fault at all. Appalling customer service. One would really expect better. I will not be ordering from here.

This place has never disappointed when it comes to good food. The gazebo chicken is a favourite always fresh and very tasty. it's a family favourite. the service is right up there. food cones out fast . catering service is also amazing the akni is the best around. would 100 percent recommend to anyone looking for consistently good hearty food.

One of the Best takeaway's on Evington Road and very friendly staff and nice fish and chips going there is a must if you are on Evington Road and very good service last time i was there ordered the Masala Fish & i absolutely Loved it very nice

We were shocked that a plate of aknee cost £25. The aknee also had hardly any good meat. The service was shocking. We did not get served for a long time and had to complain a couple of times before we got our food. No one came to ask if the food was ok. No one bothered to ask if there was anything we needed. They couldn't care less whether we came back to them or not. We will never ever go back to them and would never ever recommend them.

well this place is busy .. actually busy is an understatement.. 25 mins just to get large portion of chips.. my advice order in advance... food is really good . price wise its ok a bit on the steep side but for quality of food you will pay .. over all 4 🌟..

Worst chippy I've ever been to.

The chicken was so so dry it was hard and crunchy it was as if it was cooked a week ago. Meant to be a whole gazebo chicken and was more like bark. Also was not your typical gazebo chicken it was something completely different. Rest of the food was ok

Had the chicken and beef steak combo with their unique special sauce...and believe me it is special. The chicken and beef are sliced very thinly like from a roast or BBQ but it was so tender 😋 really worth a try. Need to take the family down in the next couple day. Was too hungry to take a photo 😆

Absolutely terrible service !!! Have some manners!!! I rang 3 times to place an order and nobody picked up, When I rang the 4th time straight away the worker was attacking me saying why do you keep cutting the phone when I go to answer it. I said am Hungry why would I mess around. All i want is to place an order. He then states come into the shop as I have a customer here, and they’ll say you only rang once! Don’t order from here blah blah Seems like he said woke up on the wrong side of the bed! 0 customer service skills at all!

Was soft and had the right spices and was very delicious 😋

The chicken inside the bun was very dry and didn't taste any better than the last time had very little seasoning in the fillets

The food is just okay. Crispy chicken and crispy beef could have tasted better if the gravy was not too sour. Chicken in kiddie meal was really crispy it reminds me of Max's restaurant signature chicken. Their egg fried rice is better but not the best. Staff is good, nothing to complain. Their washroom is clean.

Fish n chips is not recommended at all. Please avoid if you dont want much much oily food. I had fish n chips at many places not oily as this one.

The food quality was poor because grilled chicken was paper thin, the salad look like it had gone off, the gazebo chicken was fried with masala on it (not definition of gazebo), the veg noodles were ok, hardly any spice, expected better for the price charged.

Beef grill was horrible coz they packed it with everything else I prefer my food to be packed separately so I'm not happy and i didn't eat the food had to chuck it in the bin so can i have my refund back for it

Stay away from this fish and chip shop. It's over priced chips are nearly always over cooked or always reheated so it ruines the taste. This is owned by Memons so that should tell you all. Employs freshies who dont care about quality. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Lovely food. Fish and chips was a decent size, good quality and tasty. Chicken parata was nice as well, had a nice flavour and a bit of kick to it. Chicken noodles were nice as well. Driver was about 15 minutes late for which he did apologize. It was snowing heavily so had no issues with him being bit late in this kind of weather. Will be ordering again.

Ok so it asks what u want... burger came with no sauce... the lettuce was removed as it was disgusting and non fresh! It was also too spicy and chips was soaked in ketchup with no salt... why ask what my wants are if your not going to do it? The so called Chinese noodle, do yourselves and favour and just don’t make Chinese cos honestly you don’t have a clue... tiny cubes of dried up chicken with over cooked mushy noodles.... so chillie! My kids cldnt eat it. No one likes a pile of chillie mush. The steaks... it came with... the steak, rice, chips... all covered in sauce very nice. It also comes with an egg?? Powdered mash that tastes absolutely disgusting and wait for it.... beans!!! Guys scrap the cheap brand beans and scrap the powdered mash. Was it worth £40.... na mate. Should of gone macdonalds!

The biriani was amazing, shawarma needs a lot of improvement as it just looked like chicken pieces in a curry sauce chicken chow mien was okay. The naan beautiful. Overall food not worth the price. Too expensive for me. But the biriani I’ll definitely order again like definetly never have I eaten such nice biriani from a takeaway shop. So this was amazing.

Food was good, I had the sizzler platter which was loaded with food, but it’s was soaked it (in my opinion) too much sauce, Having said that, it wouldn’t put me off ordering from here again, I would try some different next time.

Ordered sirloin steak it was nowhere near a sirloin steak very thin overcooked there was an option to add prawn with steak for extra 6 pounds ended up with 5 pieces of rubbery prawns for 6 pounds!! The lamb meat in the curry was delicious.

Absolute ripoff on UberEats and Deliveroo. Charging 50%+ or more on the websites plus delivery on top. £8 for large chips with cheese and salad. Jokers.

We ordered steak and it was very thin with tasteless red sauce on it. Very disappointed too with the king prawns brother they are uncooked and smell not good at all it.

Ordered mixed steak and mixed grill,worst decision of our lives,the steak was so thin and rubbery whilst they had they weird smelly red sauce,never eating again,also 1 hour 30 min wait not worth it,the only decent thing was the chips

Went yesterday and the place was packed. The helpful owner found us a table quickly. The orders were being taken as quickly as they could . Our food came after 45 mins but that was expected because of the place being very busy. We ordered fish and chips which is the best I've had in Leicester. The masala fish, sheesh kebabs and sirloin steak were all nice and hot. 10/10 for the food and service. Will definitely come again

Never been here before so tried it by chance for the first time last week. Food was very good. Had the mixed grill and Chinese crispy beef. Food was so tasty we went again last night. They were really busy this time and we had to wait a bit longer to get the table we wanted near the window, but the owner/manager was constantly checking on us to keep us updated on the waiting time and even took our order before we sat down so our meal would be getting prepared while we wait. Great food. Great service. Will be back again. Thanks guys

Ordered via deliveroo, nothing like what they show in their pictures, the chicken and beef fillets were horrible as if they were lying there for days, and had been re-warmed, couldn't chew it. Maryland has better food.

I bought fish and chips only to take home and find the batter very crispy and dark / and the chips over fried I went back to the shop and was appalled by the behavior of the owner who shouted in from of other customers.

Fish chips was good Biryani that’s not biryani brothers Mixed Tika in naan... extremely disappointed.

Went here on Sunday for a family get together. It was my first time and I was massively impressed. The food was tasty. Portion sizes were excellent but the most important part was that even though they were massively busy the service was amazing!!! In particular the young lady made us feel so welcome & at home!! Thank you & will definitely come again.
