Awesome vegan Leicester in Leicester

First time trying out a vegan place and I must say I was amazed. The food was delicious. Really recommend getting the vegan wrap, 10/10. Guy was also friendly and gave extras due to the wait. Portions was good and very filling, would definitely come again! Good option if you are vegetarian/vegan or would love to try out a nice burger that tastes like real meat but isn't!

On the top of charging for sauces,they charged me for extra hot chilli which we never had. 2 portions were for children. Check your receipts!!

Food was really tasty and the fried 'chicken' was really nicely done. Generous with all the toppings. I thought the price seemed a bit high (£13.20) for the texas burger and medium waffle fries but they were very generous so it seemed like good value. The chips were slightly undercooked potentially but still very enjoyable Big issue for me was that they advertise it as a vegan/plant based venue but they were selling dairy products as well so it is only vegetarian. Still better than serving meat but feels a bit false in the advertising. Would have given it 5 stars otherwise

Very tasty but I have to dock a star because they are not a fully vegan company - they are an offshoot of Awesome Chips who have some non-vegan options. Let's aim to be 100% plant-based. Also, the price could do with being reduced by about 20% - seems a bit steep, but I wish this mostly vegan company every success.

Expensive, slow service, rubbish “cheese”, soggy chips, overall very disappointing. The actual Beyond burger itself was fine (as you’d expect) but if I wasn’t so hungry the rest would have gone in the bin.

I ordered a cheeseburger from Awesome vegan and I really enjoyed their bun was very tasty 😋 I 100% recommend it to everyone who is living in Leicester 🙌🏻

Had the vegan cheeseburger - the actual vegan burger patty was good, but the dough of the bun was pretty undercooked. Personally won't be getting anything from here again

Firstly, service seemed rather chaotic and despite the number of staff behind the counter and only three customers in the queue in front of us, it took 30 minutes to get our food (2 burgers and a box of fries). The 'dirty vegan' predictably didn't look as generous as the picture but was tasty enough. Chips were not enjoyable. I thought that by adding an order of sauce, it would come in a pot for dipping. No, they are tossed in the sauce, so received a box containing a sticky claggy lump, which didn't taste very fresh either. There are better places for vegan food in Leicester.

Good food, prices a bit steep but I guess that’s what happens at popular places. I’ve only discovered this place this week and was here a few days ago and had a large order, I was given a bag. So on this occasion I asked for a bag. These are cardboard bags. I appreciate for small orders they would not normally provide a bag but when the order is £23, I didn’t think it was a big of a deal to ask for a bag but I was told it was 30p. I explained I was given one last time I was here and I wasn’t charged, again I reiterated it was a large order, I told them if you want to charge me for a bag for a large order then leave it, the owner tried to have a go at the server but it wasn’t his fault as he wasn’t aware I would need a bag, he insisted on giving me a bag after I rejected it, maybe felt guilty and tried to explain there was a bag shortage when they were clearly displayed in front of me, to keep face I went along with his story. I had 3 young children with me and no free hands. Disappointing experience over a 30p bag, your bag policy just cost you a regular customer. Goodbye.
