Serves tasty Pizzas & veggie burgers. 13.7.22 Friendly staff serving tasty food. However not enough salad around. 11.7.23 Still not enough salad around & the food is generally tasty. 24.3.24 Tasty food served by friendly staff in a drafty & cold environment . The toilet however needs to be kept clean with toilet paper & 🧻 the use of strong toilet cleansers! 30.7.24 Tasty burger & a pizza which could have been spicier served by friendly staff in a clean environment . All items on the menu are not available at times & the choice of salad is limited. Toilet paper 🧻 needed in Toilet with a good clean of the stained bowl!

Pizza was amazing but staff is so rude. If they want to close their shop they just need to tell the customer open for takeway inly not for eat in. The person is so rude. He is saying we need to close the shop please eat fast. It is so bad. We are spending our money. Service is worst. They need to learn customer service. And they dont want to do eat in just clear to the customer.

It was a very bad experience, one guy was there and he's behaviour was very badly. And very aggressive attitude. His service is not good.

My husband and I often go to Hungry Head for a hearty warm meal. We both enjoy the different variety of the famous Kenyan dish 'egg and paneer chapati'. The chili garlic chips are the best in town. Today, I tried there pizza, I couldn't believe how delicious it was. They have a secret recipe for the pizza base and sauce, it was mouthwatering. I'm spoilt for choice at Hungry Head.

Decent place but nothing special. Was fairly priced but if I am to come back they need to switch it up and improve. But the food is eatable.

We have been visiting formerly known Poussin Plaice years, the quality of Food has gone down Drastically. The place doesn't have Heating for the winter months. Just got Exo chips - any amateur could do better. Extremely disappointed

They made my food extremley spicy and when i called to report it not even asking for refund or replacement..the owner argued too much about the matter and said it was my fault not asking for mild ones..but i didnt want mild and didnt ask for spicy either..but it was not edible at all..spicy saying full of red chilli powder..and i ordered 3 large portions and was wasted and the owner denied everything and kept arguing to proove that they were right..

This place is rubbish, very bad customer service. try to order, the guy who pick the phone is in an angry mood,as my kid allergic to some stuff, i wanted to make sure get right ingredients, then i asked the options,the guy wasn’t willing to sell the food, very rude, don’t understand why the hell running the business if they don’t know how to speak to the customers, i know its indian people.never ever recommend this place.

One of my best friends ate food there yesterday. Guess what? He has food poisoning. He is at hospital. The place should be closed down

I had a pizza for £.8.99 it taste like supermarket ready pizza which we buy for £ 2 .00 No proper filling no taste rubbish pizza Not to buy pizza from this shop you waste your money we throw away.

The food here was terrible 5 out 6 dishes where just bad! The chips in the place is terrible there no fluffyness to the chips it tastes like some cheap potatoes. Order a large exotica chips which sounded great when we where explained about them but after having a bite of it that was far from what we where explainined this whole portion went straight in the bin and there where 4 of us disliked it! Garlic chilli chips rather plain and tasteless just a bit of chopped garlic maybe some.sauce tossed in to terrible chips! Had a mixed veg cheese chapati which had a dry tasting filling But only reason it got 2 stars where the poussin wings where amazing i would go here just for that and get chips from somewhere better.

As per the previous reviewer, restaurant has changed hands and lost its taste! They have started charging 10% eat in charge. For what? We place the order, we Get the food and we go to the counter to pay! Never going back!

This restaurant has changed hands and Is going downhill, the waiting time is terrible. I’m sat here with only one other table and the wait is long.Asked for some poussin sauce and was told it’s not possible.I’ve been a regular customer here but I don’t see myself here again.A new one has opened and will be trying it soon, it’s called “Kenya Kitchen”

What can I say but this place is brilliant. The service is great and the food even better. Poussin Garlic chips is so delicious. One of the best places to eat whether it is to eat in or takeaway.

We were greatly disappointed as we had been looking forward to going there. We got to the place at about 5pm on a Saturday, it was closed with no notice outside. I wouldn't go there after reading the reviews as it wasn't easy to get there with 2 young kids and needed to travel a bit.

A brand new vegetarian menu. Lots of choices. Kenyan infused desserts as well.

Nie reke ngwire... there is nothing Kenyan food in this place. I am from central so I know river in my food, in this place it was Pacific in my sakuma. Then there was samosa pizza, believe it or not it was not hot pocket, it was corn and cheese in the samosa. I was wondering if London ran out of potato. What an insult to Kenyan people, Kenyan Cuisine and my children who love Kenyan food. I am starting to suspect the good reviews in here...

Poor quality food was not impressed. It was like they brought out food they Cooked yesterday. Also this place has the cheek to sneak in a 10% service which is ridiculous considering you have to go order and get the food yourselves, so what is the service charge for??

Food was cold by the time it was cooked, not really authentic Kenyan food either. The poussin chips were cold and soggy, the mandazi cannot even compare to what mandazi actually tastes like! Portions were also quite small. Found the guy (most likely owner) was lacking customer service and actually slightly rude. We were complaining amongst ourselves on our table and he then provided free desserts to the table next to us, when they asked why- he responded with "because you appreciate the food" - sounds like a bit of a slap in the face because we were talking amongst our group that we didn't like the food. On leaving we were shocked to see they have the utter cheek to charge 10% service charge- for WHAT? You have to go to the counter to order and also pick up your own food from the counter....so what service exactly are we paying for? Would not return again

Good food but got a parking ticket

My husband and I go there regularly.We absolutely love it, the food is fantastic, especially the different varieties of chapatis.We are vegetarians and they have a wide range of dishes. They even catered for my friend who is a vegan. The chili garlic chips are to die for.Service is spot on, always greeted by a smile and the staff will go that extra mile for every customer.Family run restaurant, which makes it that special, as they always welcome us like their own family.Thank you for the delicious food and excellent service. No service at all.waited for 15mint just to see some one answer or to take orders with out any details of what is still available.

We ordered paneer chapati and veg cheese chapati, out of which both did not have any spices in it and were completely bland which wasnot expected. The owner said that you need go put all the sauces on salad that was serves with it and eat the chapati with salad like you eat roti sabji. "Completely unexpected".The dry masala chips and poussin chips were good. Not going to this place again.

Excellent customer service by all staff

Very rude management... Charging us for things that we returned as the food came late. Even after asking them to remove it from the bill the lady owner was very rude and refused saying they cooked it so we have to pay for it. Ridiculous.

I like this place. The food is good, with a twist and the staff are friendly. It is Kenyan cuisine.

Shocking how this place is still open. Its always closed and empty at best when its open. Chips are soggy and overpriced which one can bear but the owner is rude as hell! and perhaps should google customer service as he seems mistaken as to what it means Place need a clean as its quite disguisting

Really *hot* Kenyan style curry.

My favourite is the fried chicken and chips, disappointed that the menu is so small as you have to call in advance to have other items made, but I guess that is why the hygiene rating is 5/5.

To be fair the food is good and does taste Kenyan.But is 2x the price it should beAnd to add to salt to my wounded wallet they charge 10% service charge where I had to get up from my table and collect my food from the counter when it was ready.Mind blowing

I really enjoyed the opportunity to experience some authentic Kenyan asian food. It was excellent. Certainly worth the trip. It is very different to other asian food I have had. I was so well looked after. Would definitely go back to try other dishes on the menu.

Brilliant place with Kenyan Indian dishes and East African dishes. This is Queensbury best kept secret. Friendly and great service. Home style cooking, take away service and also you can take away the lovely perk Peri peri sauces that give you that unique African and Indian food. Lovely dishes such as poussin chips, mogo... The egg chapati was a treat! Nice kebabs... Worth a visit !

This place is unique with its blend of East African And Kenyan Indian cusine. The food is very authentic and home style food.

Decided to go here since we are from Kenya originally and have eaten here when it was owned by the person who opened this restaurant/takeaway and were on our way back to Leicester.

Was a very nice place but lately seems to have gone down in quality. I was there with family 2 weeks ago and was really upset about the quality of food not forgetting the prices as well. To expensive for the quality. I think he has gone over moon since he started getting busy.

The food cooked in this restaurant is honestly to die for. It was a fantastic experience that I’d recommend to anyone. Staff are full of life with brilliant original ideas for their dishes and unique like no other restaurant I have been to before.

Taste of Kenya... Love this place visit often

This is a great place which puts a fun new twist on classic dishes, the use of ordinary chips but with the addition of Indian/Kenyan sauces, spices and vegetables makes them taste really good and it is something very different. The staff were very helpful explaining each chip dish and what's in them etc. The chips tasted as good as you would get in a normal fish and chips place. I also had the homemade vegetable burger and I thought that tasted really good. They've even tried you make you feel like you're in Kenya with the colours, pictures and vibe. I highly recommend.

visited this last week for first time as heard poussin chips are very tasty but chilly hot well they are hot but large variety of different flavour chips and masala chips we ordered were really good. The half chicken was not grilled but fried in a sauce hence a bit hard and crispy we also ordered lamb kebabs and these were very tender and tasty too

Been here many times and always a great service with a smile and food is great also Can wait to go back

Amazing restaurant with kenyan specialities like Mishkaki, kachumbari, ugali, sukuma wiki and a lot more! You can also buy halua, achari, mabuyu and some other non food items from kenya. Food was delicious as was the passion juice. The desert surprise was absolutely amazing! All in all, a great place and we will be back!

Visit this place often as it's on our doorstep. The main food to try here is the chips loads of chips and different types. The most popular are the poussin chips which are coated in a Kenyan special chilli sauce (defo a must try for first timers). Then there's chilli garlic chips, masala chips, kuchumber chips and many many more. Aside from the chips they do a number of other dishes from chicken to samosas to bhajiyas to curry and naan ( the veg kheema samosas are amazing). If you are a first timer go for the poussin chips then work your way through the menu!!!

The chips and other items had an authentic Kenyan taste. The Gatundu and poussin chips we had was excellent. We found the portion size to be very small. Unfortunately they were out of Mandazi ...

Really need to reconsider system in weekend evenings as the food is worthy but it should never take 15 mins to get your dish.

Been many times previously and cannot fault this place. Can customise any order according to spice level and I usually go for the extra hot or the extra extra hot! Recommended to try and my personal favourites; chilli & garlic chips and exo masala chips!

The taste of Kenyan dishes brings images of KENYA. The food is good and the personal service fantastic. Like the separate sections in the kitchen for pure vegetarian foods and non-veg foods. Thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Best poussin chips outside of Kenya

Lovely food that reminds me of food from childhood.

Food is great, however second time portion is less then what it used to be. Quarter chicken only 3 small pieces. So not value for money, I will probably star reconsidering...
