I go here almost every weekend - this is one of my favourite places for Sri Lankan food in London. Great short-eats, fantastic flavours.

Great takeaway! This place is a hidden gem situated very conveniently near the railway station, making it perfect for a quick grab-and-go meal before a train journey. Finding parking is a breeze too, with ample spaces available on the nearby roundabout. The staff here are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always happy to answer questions and make recommendations. What truly sets this takeaway apart is the affordability – their prices are significantly lower compared to other takeaways in the area. But you don't sacrifice quality for price! The portion sizes are generous, and the food is absolutely delicious. They offer a wide variety of dishes, catering to all tastes. Whether you're craving a classic curry, a sizzling stir-fry, or something lighter, you're sure to find something that tickles your fancy. They haven't forgotten about vegetarians either, with a dedicated selection of meat-free options available. On my recent visit, I needed to feed my family of three. To my surprise, I was able to purchase a large quantity of food, with a good mix of different dishes, for a total cost of just under £30! Considering the variety and quality of the food, this is an unbeatable price. Another fantastic feature is the option to buy portions as small as 100g. This is perfect for those who want to try a little bit of everything without overcommitting. It allows you to explore their diverse menu and discover your new favorite dish. Overall, this takeaway is a fantastic option for anyone looking for a quick, affordable, and delicious meal. Such a rip off!!! Mutton rolls didn't have any mutton pieces!!! Not going here again or recommending anyone to this place!!

I bought a cake box just medium 4 slice of cake 3.50 not even price not displayed. Also in other shop vada 3 for 1pound but here 2 for one pound. I am very disappointed with the cake box. Not even price displayed. Too expensive. I never ever go any more.

Preferred place for south Indian food.

I ordered a chicken curry, which unfortunately was full of shattered bones to the point where i stopped eating it. I rang them to ask about it, and was told by a lady that that was the way it was served, and she couldn't help me. I have never heard of a chicken curry that gets served with bone shards and huge chunks of broken bone. Order elsewhere

Tasty takeaway food served by generally friendly staff. 13.7.23 Change of attitude towards customers is noticeable & not for the better even if food is tasty!

The shop appears clean and tidy. They have some snack items and some drinks in cupboards or shelves at the right hand side and on the left is the counter where you can see various foods, rice, curries. Some items are sold by weight, £1.30 per 100g for example, some are just a dish, curry rice for £5 or £6. You can buy 3 vegetable samosas for £1.50, and 3 chipatis for £1.50. The prices are at the front of the shop, curries on one side, other items on the other . They don't take credit cards. Service is ok, there were other people in the shop waiting for food. This is takeaway only, no chairs to sit on whilst you wait.

Most affordable and very good quality fresh Sri Lankan and South Indian food in town. I’m a customer ever since they opened and still keep coming.

I had a lamb Biryani which like a yellow rice with small pieces of lamb. Personally, i never suggest to others.

Im not joking this is the absolute best takeaway ive ever had in my life. I drove an hour just to go to this place. The foods good the service is good and the price is brilliant. If i could give this six stars i would.

Awful service...awful food...very expensive.

Not been to this curry place for awhile in Queensbury for a takeaway so got a variety of things , Mutton curry with spinach , Dal , pumpkin served with brown rice & got some extras 2 mutton rolls & egg rotti all for £8.20 my mum treated me , left 1/2 rotti for my mum to try. A nice dinner for a change. Food bit spicy but just pass my level . The pumpkin is very nice & I recommend it . I would go again.

Quality isn’t used to how it used to be. The muttons rolls didn’t have any mutton, just only potato curry. Fish and mutton roti don’t look how they actually supposed to be.

Good food, home made fresh Authentic srilankan food

I ordered via Uber today. And I called the restaurant to customize my order. It was a great experience speaking to the Manager. And after a long time it was finally the food at home ! It is like the feeling of a thattukadda in Kerala, or Sri Lanka or maybe in Tamil Nadu ! Great job Rice and Curry . You have done well

Really good place to try Sri Lanka food. The prices are very reusable and have a good value.

Rice and curry, Biriyani, string hoppers, Dosa and wade are really tasty.. but Chinese rolls, cutlets, egg and chicken rolls are flavourless. May be they are ready made and frozen. Good place to takeaway and enjoy meal heating up at home.

I'm from Kerala. Big fan of chicken/mutton kothu, puttu and fish curry available here.

A simple place and I was initially worried when you see so many dishes and such cheap prices but I am here to try new places to review and help such businesses that seem to be family run.I had the Chicken Kotthu which comes with a boiled egg and raitia as well as a helping of curry sauce on top.I was so pleased with this dish as it was full of flavour and had a nice simple kick which was not overpowering but it just goes to show such hidden treasures exist.There are so many options here I will be back and give further reviews of other dishes so stay tuned. More to come.

Amazing. I'm pescetarian and my sister is vegan : the options for both are excellent and the prices are so good. We both love the beetroot curry and the vadai are just wonderful. I'm not going bit by bit through the menu, we'd be here all day, but everything I've tried has been excellent. Sri Lankan food is spicy (heaven for me!) but something to bear in mind if you are one of those strange people who isn't a spicy fan...

Try the mutton curry with chapatis

I tend to order 'Rice & 5 Vegs' for £3.50. It's tasty and good value for money. I've taken off one star as I would prefer it less salty. The staff is very busy but is always pleasant. Good Covid protection. Well worth a try if you are in Queensbury HA8.

I came all the way down from Hertfordshire uni to get a quick snack. I am so disappointed. Not only did the mutton rotti not have any mutton in there except of one small piece, the woman also laughed about it when calling her. Also am I struggling with strong bellypain and I feel sick since 3 in the morning. GUYS BE CAREFUL AND AWARE OF WHAT YOU ARE ORDERING & I want a refund!

Delicious curries, especially the devilled chicken and biriyani, with really friendly staff! Would recommend anyone going past Queensbury station to grab some lunch/dinner

Good food at affordable prices. The uppam is thick and fluffy. The spinach vadas are soft. The daal vadas are crunchy to bite and soft on the inside. The veg rolls are perfect. Strings hoppers are a nice go to meal. The dosa needs some work.

I want there to check what the sir lankan cuisine is like so I ordered the mutton roll which was good and fresh with chill also got the puddu with vada which is highly recommended. This place was recommended by a firend who is also sir lankan thanks Mr T(thanush)

They say is halal but I sow them the buying meat and chicken Morrison’s and I’m Muslim woman I had twice food for me and my kids and I never think is not halal

A lovely place to pick up some mutton rolls. I have yet to try their curries. I am not Sri Lankan but I do love their food.

I have been buying snacks from this little eatery for years now! I'm a big south indian food fan so whenever I'm in London I always make a point of stopping by to stock up on my mutton rolls, kothu and fish buns. The food here is always delicious, hot, tasty and fresh. Everything I have eaten is top quality. The staff are very friendly and I would recommend this place for authentic Sri Lankan food. Whenever I've visited this place there is always at least 2-3 people in front of me, which shows this place is popular with the locals. Give it a try!

Best local place for an authentic curry. If you like Sri Lankan dishes as they are meant then this is the place. They also have authentic Sri Lankan sweets, fried chillies and bitter gourd (Karela).Prices are not extortionate and service is polite. Go on give it a try you won't regret it.
