Title: A Dining Disaster – Avoid at All Costs! I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at arya Bhavan, and I can confidently say it was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. From start to finish, the service was abysmal, the food was late, and the entire experience left much to be desired. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a disinterested host who seemed overwhelmed and unorganized. After a lengthy wait for our table—despite having a reservation—we were finally seated, only to be ignored for several minutes before anyone acknowledged our presence. When our server finally approached, they seemed rushed and reluctant to answer our questions about the menu. After placing our orders, we expected a reasonable wait time for our food. However, we waited over 45 minutes just for appetizers! When they finally arrived, they were lukewarm and lacked flavor. It was clear that the kitchen was either understaffed or poorly managed, as we noticed other tables also experiencing long delays. As our hunger grew, we remained optimistic about the main courses. Unfortunately, this optimism was short-lived. Another long wait ensued, and when the food finally arrived, half of the orders were incorrect. My partner received a completely different dish, and my own meal was cold and unappetizing. When we brought this to the server’s attention, they seemed indifferent, simply offering to have the correct dish made without any apology or urgency. At this point, our excitement had turned into disappointment. We attempted to flag down the manager, but they were nowhere to be found. It was clear that customer service was not a priority here. After what felt like an eternity, we finally decided to cut our losses and asked for the check—only to discover that we had been charged for the incorrect dish as well! Leaving restaurant felt like a relief. It’s hard to believe that a restaurant could manage to miss the mark on so many levels. I would strongly advise anyone thinking about dining here to reconsider. There are countless other establishments that prioritize their customers and serve quality food. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment—avoid [Restaurant Name] at all costs!

Stay away from the resturant. Saranava Bhawan has excellent service. Here the staff is clueless and the Management has changed. The last time I ever come there again.

The food was really bad the dosa wasn’t even cooked! All the food was so bad that my son , myself and my husband threw up right after. My 18 year old son got dirhea right afterwards. So if you don’t want dirhea or want to womit don’t go there. Even I agree that this is the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to!

I recently visited arya Bhavan with a friend after returning from wembley temple and overall, the food and service were really good. We enjoyed our meal, and everything seemed fine until I received the bill. When I went to pay, I noticed an extra charge of around £2.50. I asked the lady who gave me the bill, and she casually said, "It's our service charge." However, when I checked the invoice, the charge was actually listed as gratuity. As someone who works in the restaurant industry, I know that gratuity should be optional and customers must be informed beforehand. When I mentioned this, she was quite tricky with her response, trying to brush it off. It made me wonder how many other customers unknowingly pay this charge every day, assuming it’s mandatory. I don’t know if the manager or higher-ups are aware of this practice, but it’s definitely something they should address. The restaurant is great otherwise, but transparency matters. If you're dining here, make sure to check your bill before paying!

Very disappointed with the staff, they don't focus on what the customer is asking for. I ordered mysore masala dosa, i received the dosa and there was a hair on it, i politely asked them to replace it and they agreed to do so later than that they served me mysore dosa with no masala when actually i ordered for mysore "MASALA " dosa. Very disappointed with the service and staff, they don't pay attention to customers, just focus on serving very fast. 👎👎

If you're craving authentic South Indian flavours in London, this place is a must-visit. The Podi Dosa was a standout—perfectly crispy with that fiery, flavour-packed podi (gunpowder) spice mix. The Ghee Masala Dosa was equally amazing—rich, buttery, and filled with perfectly spiced potato filling. Don’t skip the sweets—Mysore Pak and Rava Kesari were both spot on. Fresh, not overly sweet, and brought back real Indian vibes. Service was quick, the staff were friendly, and the food felt straight out of a Tamil Nadu kitchen. Will definitely return!

Waitress Swetha served us and she was excellent in service. She was friendly, warm and assisted us to choose our orders as per our taste buds. Her smiling face and friendly approach, draw us not only for breakfast, we even went back for late lunch after a long shopping day. We were very glad to see Swetha again. She is a great asset to the restaurant.

The food and service was very good, Swetha was our waitress and we were all very happy with the service from her and the other staff as well.

I enjoyed the food as it was delicious. The chutneys with the dosa were all made with different ingredients and were tasty. Deal was perfect too. Very satisfying. Medu vadas were tasty and satisfying too.

DISGUSTING! i went into this establishment to try the desserts. After waiting couple minutes to be served, I ordered the rasomalai which they apparently grabbed from the fridge. I then left the establishment and proceeded to eat it right after, why did the milk taste sour and look separated! It was off and I felt like puking after. Honestly I'm annoyed and disappointed!

It was really a wonderful time in Aryabhavan Wembley. I really had good authentic taste of Indian vegetarian stylish. I recommend everyone.

The food was great, but the service was absolutely unacceptable. The server was rude, dismissive, and lacked basic respect for customers. It felt like we were an inconvenience rather than guests. No matter how good the food is, an unpleasant attitude from staff completely kills the experience. If management cares about their reputation, they need to train their staff in basic customer service. Would not return unless they fix their attitude.

Just now we have been to ariyabavan wembley, we had a good time, food was delicious Swetha who attended us is fantastic girl.

Great food and amazing customer service

Our experience was beyond frustrating due to the poor service from staff name Swetha. We had to ask for the bill five times, yet she still didn’t bring it, while a table that finished after us got theirs without any issue. On top of that, even after repeatedly asking for water, she completely ignored the request. It felt like we were being deliberately overlooked, and the lack of basic attentiveness was unacceptable. The whole experience was frustrating and left a really bad impression

First time at the restaurant ordered few dishes and all of them were really good. Had Authentic Dosa after Kerala. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

We ordered dosa and idli which were decent.we even order falooda which was the worst I've ever head bcoz first the fruits were not fresh in it and the taste was weird lastly we ordered filter coffee which came after almost 20 minutes. They can obviously do better

I had severe diarrhea and vomiting after having porridge masala from Aryabhavan, Wembley on Monday. Even though it is good ambience inside the hotel, I found the toilet and the storage area dirty when I went to wash area. I was admitted and had to be on antibiotics and IV fluids. The hotel authority needs to take more care with hygiene.

Our regular once or twice a month. Food is always good, atmosphere good too. Service is hit and miss, you can either get great service or get ignored at your table for a while depending on who is attending to you. The managers don't really do much, just walk around without giving eye contact and pretend to look busy.

This is our go to restaurant for Indian food. All the servers are welcoming and friendly. Asni is a great server and we always share a laugh or two when in. I recommend the place for food and ambience.

I went to Arya Bhawan with some friends for a party. We ordered our food and then waited 30 minutes, but it never arrived. When we asked the waiter about our order, he told us that it had been given to another table by mistake. We then had to wait another 20 minutes for our food to be prepared. By this point, it was getting late and we were all very hungry. We decided to cancel our order and leave. I was very disappointed with the service at Arya Bhawan. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Nice interior design and good place to hang out. The food not as expected. The samosa was burnt to black and still they serve it. Does not provide ice cube when ask. Total disappointment

First time here and it's local. Heard the food is good here so thought we would try it out. Had the masala dhosa and it was lovely. Great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff and food was great. Defo recommend this venue. Will be coming back to try the thali. 😃

Very good food ! One suggestion is Try include dhal podi (parupu podi) & ghee in South Indian meals - never seen it in Saravana bhavan, Vasantha bhavan and MTR ! Hence it'll be a good competitive advantage!

One of our favourite local restaurants for a quick meal and nice tea. The customer service is top notch and a majority of the food tastes great. My personal favourite is the rava masala dosa, idly (dipped) and indo- Chinese. I also quite enjoy the ginger drink and the desserts. Highly recommended if you're craving some clean, Indian- vegetarian food.

While the food is undoubtedly excellent, what stood out during my visit was the exceptional customer care provided by staff member Priya. Food was fine and hygienic but the service needed reminders and by the time some items were served they were cold. The curries in the North Indian thali were cold. Raita was served with the south indian thali instead. The noodles had uncooked veggies and the Teas were cold. So not really impressed.

My favourite Restaurant in around the area. Brilliant food. Been a long term customer coming over the years. Just disappointed they don’t have designated waiting area if the restaurant is full. The staff lacked empathy on my visit tonight as requested to stand outside until our time comes. Imagine coming here with your family and kids in winter. Shockingly the toilet hasn’t been cleaned for more than 2 days. Imagine if there is an inspection here- you guys just failed the Audit. After watching this - there will nothing more be left for inspectors to check. I am a regular in this place and absolutely love the food so I hope the review is taken positive and as a learning curve and hope to see improvement in my next visit. Updated review: Expecting to see the improvement followed by the last visit- I visited this place again today. As soon as we entered we were allotted a table- kudos to that however we waited for 25 minutes and not one person came to serve us- not even anyone is bothered to hand out the menu. We kept on watching new customers walking in and being served. Got a seven year old boy waiting for food but nothing happened. The restaurant was not even crowded. The worst side of today’s visit is - I can see the waiters standing and talking right behind me but still no one bothered to see this is a new family that just came, at least greet and hand out the menu. Nothing happened. We then walked out and while walking out I did mention to the lady in the reception about how terrible the service was - not a word of apology. It was like you don’t really care when customers are just walking out. My favourite restaurant but I’m never walking in again. Shame on you and team.

It can be quite hard to find authentic places in London, partly due to the fact that there are 1000s of them. This is one of those places which is as authentic as it can get in the west. The decor, the service and of course the food is just too good. I had the masala dosa which was so fresh and tasty that you have to give it a try. Not sure about some of the negative reviews here but overall, I cannot fault anything, we had a pleasant experience.

Slow service, waiters forget half your order and food is not that great in flavours. Portions small too and wouldn’t recommend coming here.

Table mangement and swrvice is nice Coconut chutney is tasty rest south indian items taste was just average. Sambhar wasnt served hot and quatity was less I liked it better prior the restauant name changed. Although it was housefull and interrior renovation done is soothing Warm Temparature is maintained Water is charged Amex is accepted Rest room are maintained.

Arya Bhawan was a big disappointment. The staff was inattentive, took forever to take my order, and didn’t even provide basic things like napkins. The food portions have also shrunk significantly since it changed from Saravana Bhawan. Definitely not worth it.

Medhu vadai not cooked properly. We have ordered a coke along with a meal but we didn’t receive. They charged in the bill. Bad customer service. They charged 10% service charge aswell. Totally disgusting.

I was glad to visit Saravana Bhavan. The food was so delicious mind-blowing also the service was very quick whereas it was so busy. Staffs are very kind and active. I loved everything about Saravana Bhavan. But space is not enough. you should organise some different way so customers or staff can walk properly. Thank you so much to your staff.

Today we visited Arya Bhavan food was good especially nagercoil kalyana veetu sambar awesome ..our native nagercoil so been very greatful to visit here in London .one small disappointment was if we ask anything we need to wait and ask may be bit crowded,staffs were busy seems ,table attending poor .

We were a large group, and the service was exceptional. Special thanks to Priya, who consistently checked in to ensure everyone was well-served and satisfied with the food. The food was delicious too.

Food was oke but service was … i have no Word

What was Good - ghee podi idli. Stay away from any of there Veg Paulav. Ordered Cajun spice panner alu Paulav. This tastes so bad and showed the lack to interest towards a recepie. The chef has poured tonnes of ghee onto the white basmati rice, and added salt and panner. Adding ghee to white rice does not make it a Paulav and should not be served this way. Ordered mushroom chetinad gravy: again a very experience. They assumed chetinad means adding loads of pepper and Jira on to a dish.. the amount of pepper in the curry made it so bitter. Ordered roti and naan, very bad experience for such a big brand. I felt like I was having Turkish bread, rather than roti or naan. I would strongly recommend the management to review the recepies and the passion with which food is made. Kindly don't take customers for granted that anything can be served without interest and quality. No complaints about the staff and ambience, top notch.

Great food, great services, but too many people in too little space.

Walking past this restaurant and the atmosphere from the outside looked really nice and instantly attracted our attention so we chose to pop in and give it a try. Clearly it was a great choice as the food is tasty, portions are individually sized and the service was great. The food turned up fast and the staff are very friendly. Definitely worth visiting. I will return to try some of the other dishes.
