Food is okay, it’s what you would expect of a pound bakery. Staff however are appallingly rude and incompetent

I called in on Saturday. The shop was empty, two female members of staff stood chatting behind the counter with there backs to me but knew they had seen me come in. After a while of ignoring me one turned round and I actually thought she might serve me but no, she remembered some other bit of gossip she wanted to share and turned back round to tell the other. I left and went to Greggs won’t go again. Bloody rude the pair of them.

Went in to pound bakery for a snack with my child after an afternoon of Christmas shopping with my little girl. We both just fancied a sausage roll. So we went in and with it being two for a pound I asked for four sausage rolls, we could save some for later, and the shop assistant passed me four bags and I, assuming they were sausage rolls, took them to the counter and paid for them. We left the store and I passed my little one a bag and as she took out the contents I noticed that the “sausage roll” was square. Thinking it was a bit odd I decided to take if off my daughter and rip it in half only to notice it was a cheese and onion pasty! I then checked the other bags and to my surprise I saw all four of them were! My daughter is severely lactose intolerant and had she taken a bite this could have been a very different story! Due to the store being very busy when I returned to complian I decided against going back into the store. I am very disappointed the service I as a customer received today and shall not be returning to the store.

If I’m in town and fancy a snack then it’s off to Pound Bakery I go. I’ve never had a bad pasty or pie, however I do like their Traditionals which is really a Cornish Pasty. The price has gone up slightly for 2 of them, however nobody can whinge at 2 for less than £1.50. I doubt there’s anyone in Burnley who’s not been. How is this not number 1?

What can I say about this place! I just cannot believe what you can get for £1.00 and they also have meal deals. I always call in here when I am passing :)

Everything for £1, can't go wrong for the amount of money you pay, you get what you pay for, Carrot cakes are definitely worth the money.

Excellent food and service. Beautiful pub, fresh, clean, and lots of character. The staff are so friendly and efficient. It's definitely worth a visit, not only for the food but for a beer and a game of pool too!

It wasn’t a great experience because I got kicked out for entering the pool area when I was underage but I didn’t see why we couldn’t play pool but some guy shouted at me for it but in my opinion what is more dangerous , drinking alcohol or playing pool?

What a great place to take a toddler...I have a 13month old and she loved it...really clean, great coffee and food...really big play area and lots to do for them...most places don’t cater very well for under 2’s but this is just perfect...can’t recommend it enough 👍👍
