What a great place to take a toddler...I have a 13month old and she loved it...really clean, great coffee and food...really big play area and lots to do for them...most places don’t cater very well for under 2’s but this is just perfect...can’t recommend it enough 👍👍

Been a few times before an little girl enjoys herself she used to play on play matts whilst we had a coffee for half hour but now there charging £3 to let your child pay if your only buying drinks which for what there is for kids to play we is expensive! It's same price as other play areas in the town but know where near as good to be honest! No free parking nearby either which adds to the cost unfortunately.

I visited the relax and play cafe with my son after hearing excellent reviews from friends. The cafe was clean and inviting, and the staff seemed friendly on initial meeting. The play area and equipment was well kept and clean, which my son thoroughly enjoyed playing in whilst we waited for our food. The food was obviously homecooked and was very tasty, fresh, came in good time and good size portions. Also I was most pleased with the price! It was a bargain! I will definitely be visiting again, and be sure to recommend to others!

We visited recently for a lovely Halloween party with our babies and had a fantastic time during the session. Towards the end we had decided that we were going to eat there rather than head into town to eat; so one of our party went and asked the staff if we could have a table for 6 of us. When the party finished we went to see where our table was to be told we had to sort our own table out, by that time they had all been taken in the main room. We told the women working who seemed put out that we were asking for a table and eventually cleared a table of toys at the top end. On ordering both women were very platonic and didn’t offer a smile or any kind of niceties/pleasantries to any of us who were ordering. Food took quite some time and cutlery was put on the side of the table without saying a word, no sauces were offered and there was only one salt shaker between 3 tables. The majority of the party left before plates were cleared and upon clearing the staff member stacked everything on top of each other on the table in front of us. Whilst the party, held by Bowland Sensory was great, the service for food was terrible. The food was tasty but customer service needs to drastically improve if they want parents to visit and stay in the future. With so many local children’s play areas, there is a lot of choice for parents and based upon our experience we won’t be returning anytime soon.

All too often, people only voice negative reviews and let a good experience go unnoticed. With the constant increase in lunch places in Burnley, it feels we need to voice support for local independent businesses. It was my first time trying this place - formerly “quick crepes” and now “central kitchen” - and I will definitely be back. I was greeted by the owner who is a really lovely man and was incredibly attentive, but got the balance just right. (Most places have a habit of asking how the food is when you’ve just taken a mouthful, but not here!) It had a relaxed, friendly and comfortable atmosphere, it was very clean and the tables are all nicely spaced. I ordered a tea and a crepe (bacon, spinach and mushroom) it was served quickly, delicious and the portion was massive! There are all kinds of things on the menu, I saw some burgers come out and they looked very good. But for those just wanting a drink they had loads of options, hot, cold, milkshakes, smoothies and alcohol. If you haven’t already, give it a try. I’m already thinking about my next visit!

It wasn’t a great experience because I got kicked out for entering the pool area when I was underage but I didn’t see why we couldn’t play pool but some guy shouted at me for it but in my opinion what is more dangerous , drinking alcohol or playing pool?

Having special dietary requirements can be a challenge when eating out however Becky who has recently started running the pub went out of her way to ensure my requirements were met without the quality of food being affected and remembered my needs for our return visit which was an added personal touch to excellent customer service and attention to detail. Excellent freshly prepared food and lovely local relaxed and welcoming atmosphere with dogs allowed in part of the pub.
