I went to the store at 7:50 when it is supposed to be closing at 8 I knocked on the door while three workers were stood at the till gossiping so I knocked on the wi dow 3 time on the last knock they came to the window I ask what time they closed cause I thought I got the time wrong the male then walked over to the till with his colleagues to ask what to say to me then he came back over and opened the doors and said they had to close early cause of an emergency but if he knew there was a medical emergency then why did he ask his colleagues what to say to me I work in a supermarket myself and I know that the doors should not be shut until the right time you are losing business cause your paying them to work but there losing the doors early so what are they actually getting paid for

Better selection than Tescos and cheaper

Not a single time where I’ve ordered have they put every item in the bag. Once or twice is understandable but every single time is a joke. Starting to think employees are stealing the items. Can’t even ring the store. I would give 0 stars if I could what a joke.

Very poor poor customer service , wasted my time on 2 occasions saying will deal with my matter and sort it but nothing was done with it only took my details , wrote them down and forgot about it , wasnt even xontacted . Ckntacted them again 3 months later they took my details again a second time amd still no ckntact!

Wish could put 0 stars. The staff are lazy they cba ordering 1 simple thing. Thru can have about 10 different kettles but can't even have 1 chocolate fountain. Local Asda big place got pretty expensive lately, and the pizza counter is none existent I've been in now 10 weeks in a row at just after 3pm and the counter isn't open absolutely ridiculous when you got people stood around talking I waited 30 minutes for someone this week (we 16/08) totally poor service

It's dirty and very unorganised the staff are rude and never smile

Staff are rushed off their feet here short staffed daily takes up to half hour to collect parcels feel sorry for the staff as they are the reason your store runs without their dedication its nothing not the tidiests of store but good stock little expensive on some items toilets need cleaning more often, 2024 it's getting worse even less staff on now still takes a while to get parcels toilets are very grubby indeed don't think I've ever seen them clean and prices have shot up

Just had a delivery, 6 items unavailable. Shame as I really needed these items. I stoped working, drove to the store. See if I can get some substitutes, I actually got the exact rest of my shopping. Don't offer the service, if you can't be bothered.

It's OK price wise but personally I would shop in different stores if you can? Overall everything is way overpriced!!

It was not the best store but now it’s the worst They have put some one way system in place which means you have to park your car then walk on the road to get to the entrance as a disabled person I have no words as to what they were thinking when they did that Will try not to visit again because it is not suitable for disabled people

What are you doing making it no entry 🚫 near disabled parking we now have to walk all the way round and walk into on coming traffic. I guess it's to help stop shoplifting but if that is the case employ more staff. Absolutely ridiculous 😡😡😡😡

Something's rotten in the state of old Asda. Just because your staff are fed up working there these days, it shouldn't become my problem. Really slack, apathetic service.

Popped in for some bits, noticed a few ceiling tiles missing on the roof. Milk was leaking on the floor in the fridge. Mentioned to a member of staff who dashed off to sort it. Staff can come across a bit rude, especially on self checkout. They continue talking to other staff members instead of helping customers who are struggling.

Good produce parking and not too busy but it sometimes can be.

Lots of ever day items. Competitive prices with other stores such as Aldi & Lidl. Very helpful staff. Has a self scan checkout for quick shopping. Would recommend!!

Sometimes there shelves are not filled up, or they haven't got what we require.

Just had some fat free cottage cheese with pineapple labelled incorrectly SHOULD read taste free without pineapple it's just a slop that you could pour out, its now down the drain. They also still put up with the beggars absolutely spoils the store Don't encourage the beggers. Where's security. It's tesco for us.

Self serve staff are completely rude. A young lad who had come over to approve something for me had a go at me and stormed off saying I was rude when I most definitely was not. He then went on to talk about me rudely to his colleague and looking at me giving me dirties. Absolutely disgusting and left me feeling very angry and upset. His attitude and customer service was appalling.

Shocking customer service and con artist. Put a baby chair on offer when I went to buy the one on offer, this one is not on offer when Barcodes everything matches with the offer. Wanted me to pay double the offer price. Arrogant manager and staff. Try to deceive its customers.

Poor staffing (none!) available for self checkout….waiting and waiting…gave up…2nd class for evening shoppers. Went tonight 13/04/24 21:00with disabled blue badge holder. Bays full with not a single blue badge displayed. Spoke to security who was standing close by outside and he agreed it was wrong. Moved on to Tesco. Not take my blue badge relation again here, not worth the frustration. Asda you know it’s like this the majority of the time, and your parking conditions signs are crystal clear….you don’t care about disabled customers.

Missing items and out of date item's and I have lost over £20 to £30 worth of grocery multiple times I've order online and me, upset is an understatement. Not going to shop online at ASDA anymore. And now I can't get my money back because item are missing always this time the driver is my witness but alas still didn't get my items or money I'm not order from ASDA again

Ordered cafe was quiet no clean knives.Had a long wait for food order and it was wrong when it arrived . It was also cold and awful .Will never go back .Staff apologised but had to wait for a while for refund.

Bad Service I call them today I told her I can’t log into my Asda rewards. I wake up I want to use my £6 coupon I call them they didn’t care about it and I can’t make other accounts I use blue light card I would say they just lost a customer never will shop they again

Car park very badly maintained often with missing or loose metal grids which are a health and safety hazard for customers. More often than not be prepared to get hassled for change as you enter the store through either of the two entrances which is not very pleasant. Added doors to all the fridges making it really hard to find what you want to buy as the glass reflects. You then have to fight with the doors as they try to swing back on you. Aisles are the same size as before, so if there are a few people about it's chaos and you've no chance of easily getting to what you need. Late at night they turn the fridge lights off to make it even more difficult to see. It might be eco friendly but it makes for a very poor and frustrating shopping experience and in my opinion is a ridiculous badly thought out decision. Hardly any tills so enjoy scanning all of your own shopping increasing the profits of Asda as they have to then employ fewer staff. Also recently installed massive chrome fencing as you enter, just to make your shopping trip even more difficult and unfriendly. The Shop and Scan handset did not work this evening and I was told to get another which was exactly the same - what a waste of time. If you scan an item to find out the price and don't buy it or goodness forbid change your mind and delete an item, the system selects you for a 'quality check' where a member of staff then has to go through all your bags scanning random items to make sure you're not a thief! Embarrassing and also a hassle. Did I mention prices are often missing or unclear? Stock availability really poor, if you go of an evening then expect to see quite a few empty shelves. If you go to Colne or Accrington they will probably have what you wanted - it seems to be an Asda Burnley issue. Prices have gone through the roof and stayed that way, Aldi is cheaper on many own brand items and an easier shopping experience all round. Instead of cutting prices, gimmicks like 10% back on certain products or spin the wheel and win 50p! have been rolled out. To get this you have to use the Asda Rewards app every time you shop. The app is not very reliable and sometimes you don't receive the advertised bonuses/rewards. To top it all off I was there the other day with my young daughter who was feeling unwell. We tried to use the disabled toilet but this was locked! no problem when shopping in Tesco. To summarise, Asda have completely lost their USP. I hate food shopping and Asda Burnley is always a horrible experience!

In times gone by I loved shopping at Asda but not anymore.. The self scan AI machines that digitally film you as you scan your groceries are a farse . It is up to me as an individual if I wish to be monitored when I'm shopping . I put a bag over the screen so I can't be filmed , the older lady with the glasses behind the tobacco counter aggressively took my bag off the screen and proceeded to tell me off like a school teacher , I do not appreciate a staff member trying her best to make me feel uncomfortable . I told her it's my right to do as a I please as Asda DOES NOT have a legal licence to film it's customers without consent . I proceeded to put my bag back over the screen and got verbal abuse about this. The same woman then refused /being awkward with me to cash my scratchcard with an attitude. Going to get food for your family should not be made this much hardwork and I think that the lady needs to work on her customer service and do her homework on the law of being filmed against your will I have now boycotted Asda as I feel uncomfortable and will not be spending my money there in the near future . Tesco is a much better option for me

Walked away today for first time ever. One till open and massive queue. When I asked supervisor?? if she could open another till she replied No staff and if you want to complain see bosses. Then she walked away. Back of her jacket said HAPPY TO HELP. This sort of thing is a constant problem at Asda and they obviously don’t care that some people want to use serviced tills rather than self checkouts. Everyone I speak to complains but nothing ever happens. Today was final straw walked away and went to Sainsbury’s and had a much better shopping experience. I would recommend it to all Asda shoppers. Good parking. Trolleys work. Staff very helpful and easy to approach. Checkouts both, manned and self serve easy and quick. Decent prices.

Great place to shop to save your spending. Staff helpful. The cafe staff are so lovely and menu options good and inexpensive. Kids eat for £1 and pensioners soup roll and cup of tea for £1. Asda certainly look after the community. Well done. ❤

Bit more expensive since take over

Had a asda delivery booked and I live in Burnley just off gawthorpe Rd and the driver said he couldn't find the house so didn't arrive.

This place needs closing down, I've uninstalled the app and will never use asda again, i have 1 day off which i can be in to get delivery of my shopping, in 2 months ive had a bag go missing with no outcome from customer care, I've got a delivery coming today and 1 of many subs is beef mince substifor pork mince, who in the right head doing the picking thinks this is an acceptable substitution, mini pork sausages substituted for chicken satay, im now a customer of aldi, sorry asda you've gone downhill big time, who ever is in charge up there needs sacking its beyond pathetic, you simply dont care at all.

This store had really gone downhill. It's dirty, untidy and the toilets stink. The new fridges have condensation on the insides so that you can't see what is in them and the doors slam back on you covering you in the condensation. You can't hold the doors fully open as there is no room for people to get passed. There have been 2 vases and a chocolate wrapper on the ice cream wafer shelf, that have been dumped by a shopper, for at least 10 days! The staff are doing their best but there are very few of them now. I've always shopped at asda for the last 32 years. I think I'm going to be trying elsewhere.

Many times, we try to park i one of the many disabled parking spaces to find most taken by cars with no parking badge when we ask anyone in store we are told it has nothing to do with then and to get over it as a result many disabled drivers will not use the stores

Cafe absolutely disgusting flies everywhere dirty. Paid for a breakfast and walked out after waiting too long.

Ordered Jacket Potato with Cheese & Beans to takeaway & got back to the office to eat it, and there is no cheese to be seen! I wouldn’t mind but paid £4.60 for a jacket with beans as if there is cheese it’s the tiniest bit

Going down hill fast last month the shelves looked like people had done a super market sweep hardly anything on shelves and what was there had been flung around the shelves going to try Aldi this month.

Always a decent shopping experience. Not queuing long at tills if at all. Can get busy at times.

After the school pick up, I thought I'd get my three children an early tea from Asda Cafe as it's only a £1 and really wonderful value. I made my order and went to pay and my card wouldn't read in the machine as there was a crack in it and my contactless wasn't working. To cut a long story short the staff in this situation were just amazing with me and I'll always remember it. A lady called Heidi dealt with me, even ringing her boss who wasn't working at the time for advice. The situation was rectified and my children were fed and happy. Couldn't thank you enough.

Just like to congratulate the 2 young gentlemen who served my family in the Burnley cafe today, (09/10/22) ,they were both so polite , courteous & friendly , they are both a credit to Asda & nothing was too much trouble for them x

Absolutely shocking store! Our regular Sunday morning delivery came this morning without 25 items. Can't get in touch with the store so phoned little China customer service to talk to a girl that couldn't talk much of the Queens English. We did manage to interpret that we would get a phone call from their manager......STILL WAITING! This is the second time this has happened in the last 6 weeks. Cancelled the delivery subscription, going to try Tesco

its a good asda has everything you want most of the time, plenty of parking, staff happy to help. but the main reason for my review is the lady on the petrol station kiosk who was on today at 3:30 always smiling, happy and chatty. i feel this lady needs some recognition for her customer service skills which are 10* she loves saying hello to my children everytime i go. shes been there a long time and to sit in a box in all weathers ( most people would of given up by now) and keep smiling and still giving out fantastic customer service is unreal. asda are lucky to have her

A good store at the heart of Burnley town but be aware of parking eye we visited Asda twice within 3 hours and first we stayed about 20 minutes and after one and hour we came again for shopping stayed about half an hour parking eye sent parking ticket coz we stayed more than two hours and they missed our first exit recording and second entery video recording they just want to rob us .

Overcharged at Asda For weeks now Asda cannot get their pricing right, the price on the goods is NOT more than likely the price you pay. Everytime we shop there there is something wrong with their prices and we get over charged. Last week it was Pizzas at 5 from a fiver, overcharged by £3.37, this week overcharged with garlic sauce on offer at £1.50 charged £2. Three weeks ago 5 tins of beans on offer at £1.50 then charged at full price. So beware when shopping at Asda always check your receipt, no doubt you'll find it wrong and you have been overcharged.

Been going to this Asda a few months now. Seen more than a few kinda acts from the staff, don’t know how they managed it but this Asda seems to have a real community of genuinely nice people working there. It’s really nice to see. Bravo 👏

Staff and prices reasonable. BUT.. new number plate recognition cameras are not fit for purpose. I shopped at asda 2 days in a row and got a fine in the post saying i was parked in the carpark for 14 hours snd now owe a fine. Cameras did not pick up my vehicle driving off site then drive back on site NEXT day. Staff are aware that cameras are not 100% reliable but the store are clearly not doing anything to improve the situation. I was told that cameras are not that great if it is dark outside. BE AWARE. Keep your receipts upto 3 weeks before throwing away incase you need to dispute a parking fine. Unesesary anxiety and stress caused.

Has some really good value for money and now that it has an Asian food section in the frozen area it's very practical and beats the prices of other Asian (Indian) supermarkets.

These twits have now installed ANPR cameras and fine you £70 for being minutes overdue, the signs are very small and not clear enough to see when you drive in. Nice little earner there Asda, that’s you boycotted from now on. Absolutely shameful, teaming up with the parasites Parking Eye who make millions from mugs like us.

Ordered a jacket potato with cheese and beans, only small potatoes so the kind young man on the desk gave me two, which was great, however the potatoes were luke warm. I didn't take it back to be heated up as there was grated cheese on top. Such a shame as the coffee was great and j was really looking forward to my lunch.

Popped in for breakfast the other day. Have to say I've been a few times in the past. Don't know if it's got new staff or manager but I really enjoyed my brekkie, before I thought it was average. This time, it was piping hot and tasty. only negative is the sausage isn't the greatest. But for the money it costs it ain't half bad.

Usual food store, nothing fancy

Ordered 2 bottles of wine for our weekly home delivery, Asda only sent one. The other one that I ordered weren't in stock, why not send a different one? Were there only one bottle in the whole of the asda store? I think not!! So now we'll have to make a journey to buy another, Asda has lost a sale! What's the use of this service when the picker can't use his initiative and just pick any other white wine or even 2 of the same one?

Staff are always helping and very kind.

For what they charge, the breakfast is appaling. £15 for 2 full English breakfasts plus 1 small bottle of orange juice. Breakfast come with a cofee or tea that you serve yourself from a machine. Options are not clear on the machine so you can't get a black coffee without doing a course. Why can't they just label the button black coffee or americano? The regular size coffee overfill the regular size cups that they give you, annoyingly, they give you tqo incredibly thin and cheap paper napkins that are no good to wipe the mug. Breakfast is 2 breakfasts, 2 sausages that are probably from the cheapest frozen package, cold baked beans, half a tomato ( could be grilled or boiled, hard to say) , 1 hash brown and 2 slices of back bacon that were very small and like cardboard. They bring 1 slice of toast with each breakfast but no butter. I would have thought ASDA could at least offer a half decent sausage with their breakfast. Don't bother going other if you want to oay for bad quality. Sycamore farm and many other local cafes have much better breakfasts for the same price or less.

No concept of customer service. You even have to queue to use the self-service tills. This place is going downhill fast.

If the woman on cigarettes kiosk was as interested in serving costumers as she was in chatting to her mates que would be as long.

I have been shopping at this Burnley Asda store for many years and it's a brilliantly run place for sure.

A big thank you to Asda staff. Visited today and lost my 5 year old granddaughter. Approached a member of staff who immediately asked for details age, what she was wearing etc. Called a colleague over with a radio and asked him to advise all staff to start a search Luckily my granddaughter strolled up just before the search party was put into action! I didn't get the ladies name but she was very professional and very good with me as she could see I was very upset.Thank you.

Wow, I would like to congratulate Asda Burnley. You are the only supermarket so far to have the safety of its customers in mind. A Marshall at the front entrance with masks, sanitisation and a very polite individual. Nice to see. The parcel send and collect is brilliant. The staff on the trolley self service happy and helpful. There is an Asian gentleman who has been there years who I made a note of his name and can't find, but he helps at the front section of lottery and all over the store. He is a credit to your staff. Well done Asda!

The only thing that's i have an issue with is the scan and go scanners, they are really slow now 🐌 since they changed them the first ones where really good but the current ones are awful, every time you try to scan it takes ages to actually scan then it takes ages to update the basket

We called in for a quick bite as we were shopping. I ordered a chicken burger which when it came it tasted awefull i took it straight back the lad who was serving was quite abrupt and asked what was the problem. I said it didnt taste right. He was a bit rude about it and said if i got another it would just taste the same. So i asked for a plain burger when that came the lad asked hows that b4 i even had chance to bite into it. When i did it tasted just as bad. I can only guess that they microwave the burgers. Suffice to say i wont be eating there again

Really quite like the pizzas from here, the sides could be better and more generous but for the price you can’t go wrong! £8.75 for a 14” Pizza, 4 sides and a big bottle of pop! The pizza is tasty and filling, the sides are good if they turn up hot! Worth a try

Just had breakfast at the cafe. Really poor customer service. 1 assist t serving. She served last customer clearly saw 2 people waiting. She ignored us and went and sat in the public seating cafe area and was on her mobile phone. We had to interrupt and ask if she was serving. When she finally deigned to serve us she totally forgot about the toast she'd put in toaster. Had to go and ask 15 minutes later where it had disappeared to. It wasn't busy. Plates and cutlery had been left at 4 tables and these weren't cleaned. We finished 1 hour later they were still sitting there. Disgusting in these times. When the vegetarian breakfast came I cannot express the disappointment in the portion. Half a cherry tomato, 1 hash brown, spoonfool of beans, 2 eggs, 2 sausages. Please go to morrisons or anywhere else but here. Asda you get a zero.

Atrocious attitude to Covid safety Around half of shoppers in store not wearing face coverings and NONE are challenged as to why... Store staff just said they rely on people to do the right thing... Unless they are exempt.... don't let them in.... it's the law!!!! Or at least ask politely why they cant wear one! I'll not be risking my life shopping there again...

Just been to Asda BurnleyNOT impressed with assistant at customer service. I decided to buy my wife some flowers on way out of store. There was only one person at counter being served,I didnt know which side to stand so stood well back with my trolley. The assistant told me to join the queue then promptly walked away with no explanation leaving me stood there for 7 mins, no apology !!!!

If I could give this store a zero I would One member of staff blocking customers way and than calling them names later found out she was just chatting to her family very unprofessional it was kicking off with a few people manager stood watching laughing saying better than tv than joing in calling customers names cant get over how very unprofessional she was she shouldn't be in any kind of customer service job rolls let alone as a store manager no people skills at all will never be going to that store again and both staff and managers should be ashamed that they have let the store down

Very disappointed with my visit today, it opened 10 minutes sooner than the opening times for NHS workers, every other supermarket is at least 30 minutes, and they don't adhere to the one trolley one customer, I had to walk past 2 families doing their shopping, not amused that one of the children was just running up and down the aisle!
