We've dined at Potyo several times, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently excellent, and the service is fast and friendly. This evening, we enjoyed the potato chaat, lamb stew, beef sukha, and prawn biryani — cooked to perfection and bursting with authentic Indian flavours. I am from India and I can assure you that this is the one and only authentic Indian restaurant in the town. Period! Judging the taste I could make out that they have used original spices and masala. I really loved the ambiance and service.

This is a fantastic place to eat. Something a little bit different but always fresh and beautifully tasting. Not mainstream food. Beautiful flavours, menus always have a great choice and never an issue to explain dishes. Always made welcome.

This restaurant in Wilmslow really offers unique Goan cuisine. The flavours of India are delicious. The service was absolutely brilliant. Will definitely visit again.

My wife and I were working from home and decided to take a break and go out for lunch. Having lived in the area for a number of years and wanting to try somewhere new. We decided on Potyo as a friend had mentioned it. The menu was straightforward and simple. We chose some nibbles to share for a starter and both had curry bowls for our main. Both were excellent and very tasty. The service was brilliant and we were looked after by a very attentive young man, who was faultless. It was difficult to judge the ambiance because it was lunchtime and we were the only guests, seated downstairs near the window. If I had any negative comments it would be the cost of a glass of fairly ordinary Pino Grigio at £9.50. However, more importantly, if the owners are going to hold a marketing meeting with a potential supplier of social media services. Please do it somewhere else not on the next table to clients trying to have a quiet lunch. The young lady doing the presentation was far too loud. I felt like I was involved and was part of it. Would I come back a definite yes but next time we might try the evening service where food and enjoyment are the priority.

Came here interested - seashore theme going on inside, very chilled - menu very interesting. The beef Kothu starter was really good, not as spicy as the menu suggested (a slow burner) - the Mangalorian chicken main curry had a lot of sauce, I should have got rice- they suggested a Malabar Bread which was really good for curries. Learnt a lot here. No oily residue, always a good sign. A lovely curry despite the fact this doesn’t look like a curry restaurant at all!

Potyo is a gem of a restaurant. The food is excellent as are the staff. We recently attended their Indian Summer Gourmet Dinner Menu event which was a 5 course delight. The food was interest, delicious and different. The team were friendly, professional and the whole place is well run. Highly recommended!

Amazing food, great service, and a lovely chilled atmosphere! The lunch menu is fantastic, the beetroot side that comes with the butter chicken is the best beetroot I’ve ever eaten, but all of the dishes we had tasted amazing and where beautifully presented.

Butter Chicken Biryani is fantastic

Such a quaint, high quality, and memorable dinner experience and Potyo, the food was divine and authentic to South Indian coastal cuisine. The meen polichottu is a must try, served in a wrapped banana leaf, true to Kerala style! The service was also great, the staff really looked after us and were so warm and welcoming, I will definitely be coming back.

Really good experience, staff were extremely nice and the food was great. Ordered a new dish, the lamb, and found it to be very pleasant. Definitely an option for future dinners.

Visited before but first time trying the evening menu. Not disappointed! Particular highlight was the lamb Xacuti and Shetty' salmon & prawns and probably the best rotis we've had in the UK. We had our 2 year old son with us - there are excellent changing facilities which is a bonus!

It is my second time in Potyo everything is amazing the food especialy. Waiter Rose is one of the best, she reminds me on me when I was working in the restaurant in Dubrovnik. Same style and aproach to the guests. I hope I Will come again.

First time for us 3 "Oldies" ! Most certainly the whole experience lived up to the reviews and recommendations we had previously received. And yes there are many new as well as some familiar dishes but all with a twist that reflects the region of India the owners comes from. The website pictures very much reflect what you will find in this small but perfectly formed eating house. Finally please be aware that if you are lunching you are NOT restricted to the lunch menu so before going suggest you take a peek at the a la carte menu where the yummy curry dishes listed can be ordered!

I have had the pleasure of visiting many times and each visit does not disappoint. The food is spectacular and the service is amazing. I especially like the Boatman fish curry. The spices in the curry is just perfect combined with fresh fish. We never seem to stop with just the one order of the deep fried okra and beef sukha. We visited recently to try the new menu. The Butter chicken biryani was cooked to perfection. Thank you for such great food and service.

Our second visit to Potyo and it was amazing!! Service and food were 5* Rosa our server was very friendly and knowledgeable when asked about the dishes. Can't wait to visit again.

We popped in for a last minute birthday lunch after a visit to Quarry Bank following a quick check on Tripadvisor for options. We were not disappointed to have to have stumbled across Potyo. The only shame is it's not closer to home. The yogi bowl option was delicious, full of a range of lovely flavours. The staff were so nice from the moment we walked in and made me feel special on my birthday. We will be back when we are in the area again.

We love going to Potyo! It’s become our favorite restaurant in Wilmslow. They have recently updated the menu as well and we really enjoyed trying the new dishes. Both the fish wrapped in the banana leaf and the beef stir fry were delicious! The owners and staff are very friendly as well, and create a special atmosphere!

When you book online ( extra simple) which takes a couple of minutes they ask you if it is a special occasion. We got a delicious sweet as a happy birthday. Very enjoyable. Great staff

Food is really good, atmosphere was tricky, it was a wet Friday night so very quiet. Service was efficient enough but very young people lacked charisma, enthusiasm and this is a shame because the food is worth shouting about and upselling.
