Another brilliant meal at Potyo!

A small cozy indian restaurant, specialty food from the coastal region. The food was really good and a friendly service. We will come back!

The food was very fresh and the dishes were a lot more varied than a usual Indian restaurant, and included more fish and seafood options as well as chicken, pork, lamb and vegetarian. A really lovely experience.

A wonderful lunch experience. The atmosphere is perfect – cozy, serene, with gentle music that's loud enough to add to the room but not so loud it's invasive. The food is so tasty, fresh, and comforting. Service was excellent. Would definitely return.

Amazing food, service and atmosphere, nice to see a restaurant fully booked and busy on a Tuesday! The starter selection, pork vindaloo and crispy okra were particular highlights, but everything was delicious and will definitely be back to try more of the menu Thank you to Jason and all the staff for a lovely night!

This cosy restaurant is an absolute gem!. My wife, daughter and I were looking something different from the usual Indian (Bangladeshi) restaurants in the aree and boy did we find it! The range of delicious dishes from coastal south India were wonderful. The best of the best though was the Boatman Fish curry...i totally recommend it with coconut rice and a side of parathas....writing this has got me salivating again. I will be back soon!

Food was delicious, we had the lunch menu and tried the chaat, samosas, fish, veggie and chicken curry bowls and all were beautifully flavoured. Atmosphere and staff are also lovely, highly recommend.

Fantastic food and was right on time with collection

What a fantastic meal! The menu was interesting and varied. We ended up having starters mains and desserts and don't regret it! Everything was bursting with flavour! So tasty!! We cleaned our plates. Portion size was about right. Prices were good. The service was top notch! We felt really looked after. The decor of the place is pleasant and quirky. We absolutely loved it. Brilliant food and lovely staff!

A fantastic Indian restaurant, but different food as the owners from Goa. The quality and taste is excellent. You won't get a Madras or Vindalo from here it's authentic home cooked recipes, like mother made. We'll be back, so many items to try still.

The minute we walked in we were greeted by friendly service. The food was delicious and very well presented. We especially loved the individual flavours of each dish we ordered and would definitely be coming back with our friends and family..

Excellent food, the butter chicken, and lamb meatball curry were very tasty. The salmon and prawns were cooked to perfection. Clear plates all round.

We had heard good things about Potyo and were lucky enough to get a table without booking…fabulous food, lovely atmosphere and staff - really enjoyed a great unrushed evening…great value too…

Food is usually great but we were both horribly ill within half an hour of eating a takeaway/delivery from here - won’t be ordering again. Assume some of the ingredients had gone off :(

What do I say? Feels like Goa has truly blessed Wilmslow. The flavours and smell of authenticity. Must must try, I came yesterday with friends and came again today to introduce my wife to it just so I could try the other dishes ;) Next week we are planning on bringing our foodie kids :)

Visited with family on a quiet Tuesday in early January, but there was still a pleasant buzz. Food was fantastic, and service efficient and unobtrusive. Our fave restaurant in the area, and never disappoints.

We've had takeaway from Potyo twice and they're really in a league of their own when it comes to Indian food. The flavours are so layered and have so much depth. Our favourites so far are the butter chicken, Manglorean chicken gassi and chicken pakoda vepudu. It's a real jewel in the Wilmslow food scene.

Excellent experience, had the Thali Sunday Roast experience. The whole meal was delicious, served on a large silver platter. Would highly recommended….

Hands down best curry ever! We had samosa, the Boatman Fish Curry, lemon rice and parotha bread, everything was super tasty, service was great, very cosy small restaurant , 100% recommended. We will be back!

The welcome at potyo is always so warm and engaging. They really care about their customers experience and love nothing more than to share their passion of the dishes and tell you a little bit about where they are from. It made our Christmas Eve very enjoyable, I look forward to our next visit

Potyo is an amazing local restaurant. The food is always fresh and extremely flavoursome, and very different to other places in a good way. They are always creating and experimenting with new dishes and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The decor is gorgeous- clean lines, white and blue, I'd highly recommend a visit or two!

Service was excellent. I had lamb biryani which was cooked to my specific request. The chef went the extra mile to make us happy. Will definitely be back. Lovely experience.

Regular visit here - it is truly excellent a hidden gem - food quality is top draw, the boatman fish curry a particular favourite. However the other attractive features are the staff and owners that come and talk to you - an all round excellent experience - go along it’ll be worth it.

Absolutely amazing, the Sunday roast Thali highly recommended. The flavours were incredible. They were so kind and welcoming. So lovely with my baby boy who is one, they brought him a little snack.

Came back from holiday abroad and needed a good Indian. Made to feel very welcome and the food was lovely. Out of the ordinary and we received information about ingredients. Don't live locally but would definitely come back if we were in the area.

Great vegetarian/pescatarian options, and a wide range of drinks. Also really easy parking just a few meters down the road outside Waitrose, free after 6.30pm ! Can’t recommend this place more !! What a fabulous find. The food is from the west coast of India - Goa, Kerala, Mumbai - and is absolutely delicious. Very chilled environment - the team were very happy to spend time talking through the menu and making recommendations. Just a lovely atmosphere. Will 100% be back. The Sunday Lunchtime feast looks amazing.

Every now and then you try a restaurant for the first time and Wow! this was my experience at Potyo!. Read the reviews and looked at the menu online and decided to try a early Sunday afternoon meal. On arriving it does not look like an Indian restaurant and on entering there is a lovely warm, light and stylish modern decor a really good look and feel to the place. There was a very nice buz of happy customers and we were quickly supplied with menus and the new Sunday Roast Thali menu was explained but we decided on the main menu for our first visit but for sure will be back for the Sunday Roast. We had a very nice NZ Sauvignon Blanc wine with some Indian nibbles followed by the Green chicken curry and the Malabar Prawn curry both excellent with perfect spice levels. The Malabar Porotha bread was fantastic another level compared to other Indian restaurants!!. At the end of the meal we met the owner Jason and had a very nice chat about our travels to India, Pakistan and Singapore, finally a place where they don't have Madras etc on the menu but what they do have is perfect!!!. Its a very family friendly place dishes for all spice level lovers and the menu is a great read!!. I don't live in Wilmslow but more than happy to make a 30/40 min drive to enjoy another brilliant meal!. Jason and his team have created a lovely place, keep that Chef happy!!!. Enjoy!!

Cannot recommend enough! The new Sunday roast was delicious: it is rare that you get something with so many components where each is as delicious as the last. Staff also very lovely.

We came here for lunch, we love it here as a family, always get seated in same spot, owner always recognises us and comes for a chat and staff are all lovely! Came this sunday (October2024) for a family lunch- tried the roast dinners for the first time, tried all 3 and they were delicious! :)

Fabulous selection of dishes which were delicious and flavourful. Visited several times now for dinner and it’s a fabulous independent restaurant staying true to its roots. W Only issue, is if there are loud/raucous guests then the openness of the restaurant makes it somewhat difficult to hear and speak. Hospitality of the staff were attentive and polite as were the owners 🥰 Definitely be back soon
