My story is very similar to Louise L (July 2024). Met here with friends for coffee/catch-up/a browse/lunch. We all ended up with parking fines. Saw none of their 'obvious' signs - buried in a hedge is NOT obvious! Tried phoning for assistance - totally dismissed. Tried appealing - got a set script in response. Very expensive day out! None of us will be back.

Met some friends I do t see often for lunch that then turned into coffee. Lovely catch up until two weeks later when I received a £100 parking fine. Phoned as in similar situations on calling up they have been able to cancel the charges and have been very helpful. An extremely unhelpful woman told me there is very obvious signage and there’s no way to waive charge. She also said they get lots of calls like me so the signs obviously aren’t that obvious and reading previous reviews on here it seems like this has happened to many others. I didn’t notice any signs so this lovely catch up has turned into a very expensive affair. I won’t be back.

Having visited this restaurant over many years primarily for coffee and bakes which has been excellent, took the opportunity to have lunch this week while looking for garden stuff, Had the Cheeseburger 'Mush' as a main that is the only way to describe it ...... tasteless burger and a 'mush' of cheese, lettuce & other stuff,& chips dry as a board. The coffee & cake was very good as expected but lunch never again, I don't mind that bit more for a quality meal but the price (expensive!!) in this case reflected a sub standard lunch. We will be always be back at Inverurie Garden Centre but limited the restaurant visit to the very good coffe & bakes.

Stopped here for a coffee and cakes. Nice selection still available even though it was after 3 pm. All delicious. Everyone is very friendly. Also had a quick browse round the gift shop. Parking is limited to 3 hours (to deter people leaving cars there all day to take the train to Aberdeen) but plenty of warning signs. There is a machine in the shop to register your car number if you need to stay longer.

would draw your attention to Inverurie Garden Centre. I got a £100 parking fine because I was parked there over the allotted 3 hours. Now if you have been in that shop for lunch and browse etc. you will know that it is very easy to go over that time limit. Apparently there is a system that allows you an extra 2 hours but we don't go there to car watch, we go to have a nice time out. Over the years I have spent a lot of money in that garden shop and I can tell you that I think this is a terrible way to treat loyal customers. Despite appealing there is no shift on this. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK THERE. It is not for me to tell others where to shop but think twice and think of my £100.....and where all the other £100 are going.

Tried here a few times now to give it a chance and always incredibly disappointing so definitely off my list of places to go from now on. Hugely overpriced. Came for lunch once, which was a really bland, underfilled toastie. Came for hot chocolate and a scone one, hot chocolate was luke warm and definitely powdered hot chocolate you get in the shop, and scone was so dry. Queuing/paying system it awful. Generally a very disappointing place to go. Don’t waste your money.

We came here for lunch after an absence of a couple of years. Found a seat and went to order our soup(weren't too keen on leaving our stuff at the table but wanted to see what was on offer and pay for both meals at the same time (I suppose we could have gone up individually). Got our soup and also ordered coffee. As other people have said, the soup was going cold whilst we were waiting for the coffee to be made. It seems to take an eternity for these coffee machines and they are so noisy the staff member serving me and I couldn't hear each other. Ordering tea seems to be quicker and the whole system also needs to be a lot quicker. The food was good though. Was glad to see that between 11.30-2.30 they serve lunches and they concentrate on coffees after then. Very clean and tables cleared and cleaned by efficient staff. If you want a quieter table sit away from the childrens' play area as it is noisy and nearer the windows overlooking the station.

We visited yesterday for a Mothers Day Lunch. The lunch was delicious and the service provided was excellent. Our major problem concerns the children’s play area. We sat at the table next to the play area and during our visit two children fell from the slide and seriously banged their head on the floor. On the first occasion the child was unsupervised but on the second occasion the child was supervised. Surely it would be an easy solution to install a foam landing mat to cover the entire area which would reduce the risk of a serious injury.

Went for breakfast this morning. Chose the 6 item option which we were given onto "warm" plates. There were about 5 people in front of us all ordering lattes, cappuccinos, hot chocolates which was taking the 2 members of staff ages to make. The breakfast deal includes filter coffee or tea, however you have to wait behind all these other people ordering barista coffees to get served, all the time the food is getting colder by the minute. We queued almost 15 minutes to get our drinks and pay and by the time we sat down everything was stone cold. For almost £10 each, I expect to get good quality hot food but our breakfast was neither. Complained and asked for replacements, which was just the plate of food blasted in the microwave, so the fried egg which was already like rubber the first time around was beyond being edible. The black pudding went like a brick and everything else was dried up. System really needs to be changed. The two ladies doing the drinks didn't have a clue who they were making drinks for and ended up with spare drinks that no-one had ordered and short of drinks which people were waiting for, so the process was taking even longer. It really was a complete shambles. Won't be back in a hurry.

I try to support local cafes & restaurants, but I won’t be bothering Potters Kitchen with my custom again. I use “bothering” because that was how I was made to feel by the staff. First, I was ignored at the counter as the two staff members personal conversation was more important. Second, when one eventually deigned to notice me it was as if she was doing me a favour. Eventually I got my order and although the total was expensive, I don’t mind paying for good food. Imagine our disappoint on finding out that the quality of the food was not matched by the prices.

Took the grandchildren for lunch. They didn't like the kids lunch bag choices, sausages classed as slippy and taste funny. Carrots were OK. Didn't fancy any of the sandwiches. Roast dinner was very dry gravy lumpy carrots slimy and too sweet so was all left. Coronation chicken baked potatoe was burnt and too much mayonnaise. Not the best. Cakes looked lovely but didn't have and coffee was nice.

Breakfast today was absolutely dire. Dried up but yet still swimming in grease bacon, stone cold fried egg (replaced by another stone cold fried egg) tepid sausage, beans and hash brown. The only edible item was the croissant. Very poor value for just shy of a tenner. The whole process of queuing with your already cold food and then waiting for tea/coffee to be made is just awful. Will not be returning and definitely will not recommend.

The Inverurie Garden Centre has always been a family favourite ever since I was little, they have a fantastic selection of hot & cold food all freshly made daily. The pancakes are the best in the whole of Scotland, created right in front of you then drizzled with butter & jam or ice cream/caramel dependant on preference, unfortunately they are only available after 2pm but well worth the wait… why not wander round the garden centre then treat yourself to a snack! They also serve toasties & wraps to which are great too, you can fully customise what goes in them and add chips if you wanted, slightly pricey but well worth it once in a while. Located in the heart of Inverurie and with on site parking it makes for a great afternoon adventure for some homemade food and drink.

Had high hopes of my lunch out here but sadly no! Ordered a panini, portion size on the mean side for the price in comparison to other comparable venues and the coronation filling quite dry also we had two pieces of chocolate cake. Now the cake we received was from two different cakes, I gave the "new" cake piece to my partner and the other to myself. For the same price £2.90 they were very different mine was dried out and obvs had been hanging around from the day before or day before that! I will say the coffee was quite nice. They seem to be adhearing to Covid precautions but was surprised that customers can still collect trays from a stack. Other places I've been are issuing them to customers when required do not touched by other customers. As an overall experience can't say I would return.

Coffee/Tea and cakes lovely and after we finished a lady came to clean the table and said goodbye. It was such a relaxing experience. 10/10 for our visit-thankyou.

Was meeting family there as part of current regulations. Informed the Track/Trace woman that we needed table for 5 plus baby. Long story short she gave us two tables about 5m apart me despite a bigger table empty but not having been cleaned. I informed her we would prefer the bigger table when cleaned. Then she spoke to a member of staff to clean the table and simultaneously been VERY rude about myself with a remark. I have never ever been spoken to like that in a restaurant. When we left I asked to see someone so I could complain but no luck there. We will not be back. If it was my restaurant I would have dismissed her immediately speaking about customers in front of them like that

Arranged to meet some family members here and ended up getting a £100 Parking Penalty because we stayed longer than 3 hours! Left a sour taste in my mouth, so won't be visiting again in a hurry! Although there were signs in the car park regarding parking charges, I didn't remember until it was too late. There didn't appear to be any way to avoid the charges either, other than making sure your car isn't in the car park for more than 3 hours! OK if you're just going in for some potting plants or such, but clearly not long enough for an extended family reunion!

This cafe has gone downhill over the past few years. Very limited vegetarian/vegan options - and no indication on the menu whether food is vegetarian or not. They ran out of a lot of ingredients - pesto, potatoes etc. and although, it stated on the menu that any sandwich options were available with the soup and sandwich deal, we were told that the mozzarella/ tomato/pesto sandwich was not included. The carrots on the hot plate ran out, but were not replaced. The toilets look shabby and could do with a coat of paint.

Was looking for somewhere who did a good tasting, value for money breakfast on a weekend and decided to try this place out. They have a breakfast buffet where you pick 6 items for around £7.50. I picked my items and the staff member put a lid over the food to try and keep it warm however it is too small for the plates they use.The queue for hot drinks was ridiculously long as the 'baristas' prepared coffees for everyone, they really need a better system here! Once paid and trying to get condiments, there are no small containers to pump the ketchup in to so I had to pump it directly on to the plate and with the ill fitting lid, this rim then became covered in ketchup (which then meant the table got covered when I took it off and set it down). The bacon and eggs were stone cold to eat. I tried persevering but then decided there's no point moaning if you aren't going to do something about it so I went back up to the counter and was ignored for around 2 minutes whilst staff chatted and cleaned up around the sandwich counter. A tall older gentleman came out the kitchen to replenish the breakfast buffet and I raised my quibble with him, expecting to either receive a replacement or refund. However he just said thanks for the information and went about his taskWhen I sat down again, another customer came over and asked if I had moaned about the cold breakfast as they had the same and said it was frankly disgusting. When i confirmed this, she went to the counter and demanded to speak to a manager. I heard her saying that we also had cold breakfast but the manager only processed a refund for them and they left to go elsewhere for breakfast.I gave the staff opportunity to correct the issue but they didn't reheat, replace or refund our order therefore we will not be returning

Cant understand the poor reviews on here! Okay its a Garden centre and not a 5 star restaurant but the food is still very good and certainly not poor. My wife and i have been coming here for quite a few years and have never had cause to complain, be it for morning coffee, lunch or afternoon fly cup. The service has always been good and all staff helpful and polite, when i read some of the reviews i wondered if they actually speaking about the same place!! I always rely on trip advisor before i go anywhere to eat or stay and 99 times out of 100 the reviews are spot on, however i disagree with the poor rating for Potters Kitchen. Best thing to do is try it for yourself and see, prices are not as bad as some folk make out. The coffee is by Illy and the staff are all Barista trained. Our favourite is Cappuccino and cheese and bacon scones which are delicious and 2 cappuccino's and 2 scones is less than a tenner (£10) which is pretty good for quality products, if you want jam with your scone its a bit expensive at 45p but its a good quality jam, some places offer free jam but its just the cheap kind you get, also here butter and marge is free. I give Potters a strong 8/10 and well worth 4 stars

We both opted for the soup (lentil and vegetable) which was one of the best bowls of soup I have ever had, it was served with a large slice of soft bread which was great value for money. With the intention of being good, as soon as we came upon the tray-bakes we just couldn’t resist - we went for the honeycomb slice and a strawberry tart and didn’t regret one bite, delicious! Went in here at 1520 today for a bite to eat. Plenty staff on duty.... all of whom ignored us for fully two minutes. The lady who eventually came to serve us was far from welcoming: we only learned that items were “off” when we asked for them. No explanation other than only items on the left board were available. Even that was wrong as no hot items were available apart from soup. Basically only sandwiches were on offer for £6.50. The board said “add soup”for £1.75 so we ordered sandwich and soups. The soup on offer was Cullen skink and pea and Ham. I ordered the former and my wife the latter. SO, two x £ 6.50 =£13 plus 2x £1.75 = £16.50.? WRONG - we were charged over £20 and when I queried this we were told there was a “small supplement” for Cullen Skink. I pointed out there was no reference to this at all to which the cashier said “there should have been”. Only when I refused to pay did she say to get the lady who took our order and take her to the cash till. I did this and a debate ensued between the two. At least that proves the staff actually spoke!! The matter was only resolved when the manager came over and apologised. We then went to sit down in the main cafe only, when seated, to be told that part was closed for the day and we were told - TOLD, not asked, to sit at the opposite end of the cafe. The long awaited soup and sandwich eventually arrived and to be honest at £8.25 it was simply not worth the money, or the long wait, or the hassle. Absolutely terrible experience from start to finish. Places that don’t ensure customers are made to feel welcome simply don’t deserve customers. We won’t be back.

Went for a late lunch with my mother in law & my 5 month old son. The lady cleaning the tables took a dislike to us from the moment we walked in because my son grabbed the fake tree with his hands and knocked it over. He’s 5 months old and it’s clear he didn’t do it on purpose. The lady who was old ish with short dark hair spoke to every child in the restaurant apart from mine, which didn’t bother me. But why? However moving on... the 3 of us went for a look around the clothing bit upstairs then my mother in law decided to go outside and get the pram for my son so I said I would watch out the window until it was up. The lady shouts over ‘ you can’t sit there move ‘ I reply ‘ ex cuse me what’s the issue’ she goes ‘ we close this area at 330 everyone knows that ‘ then goes to and speaks to another member of staff old ish with grey hair. At this point I am embarrassed and feel targeted. I have never been there before so how was I to know? The lady was very very rude and shouldn’t treat any of her customers that way. Her tone was awful. In my opinion she needs a job that doesn’t involve dealing with people.

We have been to this location in the Inverurie Garden Centre many times before and have had a decent normal lunch for under £30 but today the 9th if April was particularly bad and felt it needed noting. I had the soup & wrap summer sunshine deal which had a choice of French Onion Soup or Mushroom with Bacon and a coronation chicken wrap. The French Onion Soup was just like gravy with a few onions thrown in and a scattering of nasty croutons on the top, the accompanying coronation chicken wrap contained chicken in a yellow mayonnaise with no flavour whatsoever. Both left behind, when I have been before I have had a panini or sandwich which could be the limit at this venue I am afraid. I feel foolish for straying to something different, obviously lured in by the catchy Title.

Arrived here bang on half 9 in the morning. No other people in the cafe. Three bacon sandwiches were ordered and 3 cappuccinos. It took about 5 minutes of waiting before our food order was taken despite there being about 3 or 4 staff loitering about. Then they all disappeared when we were waiting to order out drinks. So the drinks were eventually ready once the bacon sandwiches had been taken out to our table. Then there was the issue of being over charged by £6, which had to be dealt with. So by the time I actually got to sit down to my bacon sandwich it wasn’t that hot anymore. Although it was perfectly cooked bacon on nice brown bread, the coffee was fine too. However I won’t be rushing back due to this poor service. How do they cope when it’s busy???

Food is average & prices high.A full size portion of the hot meal is only 50p more than a toastie, something is not right there. I've had better (& cheaper) lunches in West End Aberdeen cafes - surely it should be the other way round. The cafe is always busy so I'm guessing the management assume the pricing is ok.

We stopped off last week for lunch and as always the food was lovely. We both had the pulled pork panini it was to die for and the chicken broth was very tasty and filling and very generous helpings. The staff are all very pleasant and kept very busy you very rarely stop off here and find empty tables so that says it all a very busy place with very good food.

My husband visited Inverurie Garden Centre on 20 September to meet a friend for lunch. They had not seen each other for a year, had lots to catch up on and ended up chatting for ages. In fact they bought several pots of tea to keep them going (as well as the food). Today we received a parking charge notice for £100 in the post because our car had apparently been in the Garden Centre car park for more than 3 hours. A genuine mistake leading to an extremely expensive lunch and needless to say our last ever visit to the Garden Centre.

It is probably some three years since we visited the Inverurie Garden Centre. We were very impressed with what appears to be a considerable expansion of the seating area. The staff are very efficient and the tables cleared speedily. Admittedly we did not have the lunch (we had coffee and scones) but regretted this as the meals seemed to be going down very well. The place is spacious and good value. The meringues are probably the biggest in Scotland and the scones of equal proportions! We have decided we made a tactical error and will return next weekend to sample the Main Course. The tables are well laid out and a lift allows disabled to access without difficulty.

This is a well established and popular choice for many when visiting Inverurie. It is starting to look a little dated but the staff are friendly and the food is very consistent. We opted for the breakfast where you get to choose your own items. Everything had been freshly cooked and was not at all greasy. It comes with a warm croissant. My husband didn't want this so was immediately offered another breakfast item as an alternative. All in all, most enjoyable.

I have been to this cafe a number of times and the food is always great. But today I've decided to write a review on the customer care I received. Upon entering the cafe today with 2 small children (1 year old and 3 year old) a lovely lady called Kathleen offered me assistance. In my stupidity in thinking I can manage everything myself, I declined her help. After ordering my food, I went to get my drinks. This is when disaster occurred. My 1 year old son managed to reach over out of his buggy and tip the tray with the juice on it. The juice covered the floor, my son and my daughter. Kathleen immediately came to my assistance. She took the tray for me, set it aside and kept my lunch back so that I could take my children to the bathroom to get cleaned up. When I returned. Kathleen had setup a table with a high chair and my children's lunches. All I had to do was pay! This may not seem like much but when you have two small kids on your own it is these things that make life a little less stressful. I then had to return later in the day as my daughter had lost her favourite teddy and who should find him but Kathleen!! Brilliant customer service. Thank you so much X

I know it was a busy period but there was people who came in well after we arrived who were served well before us. Staff were friendly and worked hard.Clean place even with some of the customers leaving there tables like pigsties.

Visited today with my Nanna and had a lovely meal of soup and a sandwich. We had an 'itison' voucher (worth noting this is only valid 1.30pm - 3.30pm) which entitled us to soup and a sandwich/toastie/panini or wrap and a hot or cold drink each for £10.I chose the Mediterranean veg and tomato which was absolutely delicious, highly recommend it if it's on the menu! I also had an egg mayo and spring onion sandwich. My Nanna had Lentil and ham soup and coronation chicken sandwich. We both thoroughly enjoyed the food and will definitely be back even without a voucher.Everyone was friendly and helpful and tables were cleaned instantly by a very hard working lady.We sat in the 'quiet' area which was really pleasant.Definitely worth trying if your in the area.....we travelled 45 miles and will absolutely be returning.

We went for lunch and got brilliant service from the people behind the counters making up the orders. I am afraid that the lack of anyone at the tills confused me and I thought I had to pay the person doing the drinks. After 5 minutes someone eventually appeared at the tills -2 of them had been " adjusting " blinds that were broken. As it had taken 12 minutes by this time my order appeared at the till while I was waiting to pay. I asked the person at the till what to do with my order number stick and she said take it to your table and they will come with your order I said that because of the delay at the tills my order was already at my table as the waitress had stood behind me at the till with the order until I got to the front of the queue. The person at the till snapped at me that I had not and she emphasised it I had not had to wait long at all. I will not be returning at lunch time for a long time although our lunch was beautiful the attitude of the staff st the till spoiled it for us.

We popped in for a coffee while our car was being MOT'd nearby . 2 Lattes , a scone & a doughnut, £7.81 (about average). The coffees were ok but not very warm. The scone might have been ok when it was baked, it exploded into a mass of crumbs when I tried to put butter on it ! Disappointing visit.

I really love this cafe and visit frequently. Whether in for a coffee and a scone, a bowl of soup or a full meal the food is always excellent and the service friendly and efficient. I regularly pick up itison vouchers for myself and my family which allows a great dining experience at a fraction of the cost which is fantastic but I'm equally happy to pay full price for such great quality food in lovely surroundings.

We have lunched at Potter’s Kitchen at the Inverurie Garden Centre a few times, and always enjoyed it very much. Our most recent visit was with an itison voucher, which gave us Soup, a Sandwich, Panini, Toastie or Wrap, plus a hot or cold drink for 2 – all for £10!! The voucher couldn't be used before 1.30pm which was fair enough, and not a problem for us. I chose Chicken & Leek Soup, a Coronation Chicken Wrap, and tea. My husband opted for the other soup option - Yellow Spilt Pea & Carrot, (I think!), a Tuna & Cheese Panini, and tea to drink too. All our food was excellent. Both soups were delicious, and really hearty helpings. Both the panini and the wrap were served with salad leaves and tomato. My wrap was accompanied by a generous amount of coleslaw and some potato crisps. All the staff were really pleasant and the lady manning the till was very accepting of our itison voucher, without any issue, so they must be familiar with receiving plenty of them. It is self-service restaurant, but hot food is then brought to your table. On this mid-week visit the restaurant wasn't as busy as it had been on our previous weekend visits. However, it always seems to run like clockwork, with plenty staff serving and clearing tables.Well worth a visit, and of course there are all the attractions of a garden centre, gift hall to enjoy too!

Quite a nice place for lunch. The pancakes are usually good. Sometimes, a lack of vegetarian options - macaroni cheese is usually the token veggie main meal. There are also a selection of sandwiches, soups and baked potatoes. It's a very busy place, but they do now have a "child-free" seating area.

My wife and I are regular patrons of this establishment and are usually very satisfied with the experience so we were a bit disappointed by our latest visit. As we were in Inverurie for a couple of things around lunchtime, we decided to have a snack lunch at Potters Kitchen. The soups were Cream of Cauliflower & Lentil and Ham. My Lentil and Ham was really a vegetable broth with small squares of ham added (I had a piece of leek much bigger in it). Although not what I expected, it was a reasonable bowl of soup but I would have preferred Lentil and Ham. My wife, however, advised me that she tasted more seasoning than cauliflower in her soup. The saving grace was the bread which came with it.Although we were a bit disappoited with our soup, the ceramic pots we bought at the garden centre for the bushes at our front door are excellent.

I really don't understand why this place is so popular. It's overpriced for quality of food and the tablecloths make it look so cheap. While I was in the place was busy yet the manager of the restaurant was standing reading the paper while not on a break. Was nothing wrong with any of the food or drinks we had but nothing special.

We go here two or three times each month and always aim to be there around lunch time, if the restaurant was a stand alone it would be raved about near and far and even though it may not have the location of a High St upmarket restaurant their lunches and meals in general are terrific be it a full blown carvery or the 3 in 1 type you will not be disappointed, the staff deserve a mention for their very helpful service.

My wife and I went here for a snack lunch due to 1. having a discount offer and 2. having work done to our kitchen at home. We often have coffee and scones here but seldom lunch. This was up to their usual high standard. We both had the green pea & vegetable soup and, whilst my wife was content with the bread which came with the soup, I had tuna sandwiches served with crisps. The soup was really good and the sandwiches were well filled; no skimping there. The bonus with Potters Kitchen is their "Quiet Area" as, even there today, you could hear the young childre in their main area. As Arnie would say, I'll be back.

I visited Potters Kitchen with my 8 month old and 5 year old at the weekend. Firstly, we visited the kids bucket section where you can choose 5 kids items. The quality and variety of the food was good, however if your child is older than 5 you may be left disappointed. 4 cocktail sausages is one portion, so too is about 2 or 3 inches of cucumber (which probably has a value of 4p yet you're paying over £1 for it). Similarly, the tuna roll was good but it was a tiny roll, more of a snack roll, so I wanted to get two for her, but there was a sign saying only 1 of each item. That all said, she enjoyed her meal and I was pleased that there was healthy options - I've seen a lot worse kids meals at cafés. I had their full breakfast, choosing the 6 items. Their hash browns look homemade and are delicious, so too was the rest of it. Excellent breakfast and you get a croissant with it. They have a good selection of drinks and desert to choose from as well. One last slightly annoying thing was their baby seats - they don't have a table attached. It's a great idea in principle to push your baby in a baby chair right up to the table and let them join you. But anyone with a baby will know that they will just pull the table cloth constantly and cause chaos. I had to push the baby seat quite far back from the table, poor girl looked like we didn't care about her! And that also means that when I gave her food to eat herself she had no table so made a big mess everywhere. My 5 year old also knocked things off the table when she leaned on the table due to the tablecloth being very slippery; good quality but not child friendly. Overall it's a place that you will find tasty and good quality food, but perhaps a place that can be a little over priced and perhaps not that great for babies or young children, but by no means bad. If I'm in town without the baby I would come here again.

Recent experiences have seen me take my custom elsewhere, on more then one occasion I've be left waiting over 20-25 minutes for a salad to be taken to my table, recently last week met family for lunch they went for the hot option, by the time my salad came they were finished their lunch.I agree the price is ridiculous I was just under £20 for a salad, hot lunch and two cokes.Ok for a tea but I agree their are more nicer less expensive places you could try for lunch or a cuppa and cake

Went for lunch yesterday and was left feeling thoroughly underwhelmed. We queued up and ordered a bowl of soup, my partner then asked if he could have a sandwich with it and the lady serving looked at him like it was the biggest inconvenience to her, threw his soup back in the soup kettle and gave him a ticket, saying that it would be brought to the table. I then ordered macaroni which was thrown on the plate school dinner-style by another grumpy server. By the time we'd finished queuing and paid (over £19 for soup/sandwich, watery macaroni, a soft drink and cup of tea!!!), the macaroni was cold. His lunch arrived at the table 10 minutes after I'd finished my food - really bad organisation. In addition to this, there are now signs posted all over the garden centre reminding customers that they're only allowed to park in the car park for a maximum of three hours. God forbid people should want to spend their money there. I certainly won't be back, I left feeling like I'd been robbed blind.

Food okay. Bit pricier than previously. Was charged £6.25 for soup and a slice of bread; £6.25 for a Panini (brie and cranberry, no bacon) with a few crisps and salad; £7.99 for a burger with wedges; small fizzy drink £1.95; tea £1.85. Could certainly have got better value for similar quality elsewhere, but tasty enough.

When it takes less time for your food to arrive than it does to order it something is far wrong! Self service is great when it works. It does not work here 20 minutes standing in a queue to place my own order, the woman at the till was so slow and seemed to be completely unaware of the situation. Food was decent enough and arrived after 10 mins but the service, was terrible with dirty dishes everywhere, no condiments on the table and the place was very cold. Same story in the shop. Huge queue for the post office but no one serving the other till. Typical Inverurie food experience "that'll do" attitude that 99% of people are so used to they are now blind to it.

Avoid like a Covid Out Break, First impressions of the out side was what the Hell have we booked , its tired and outdated exterior greated us, As we walked in to the main entrance we were greeted with a closed reception desk with a closed blind and a smell I have never encountered before, and I've done a few jobs in my life. We made the decision to ask at the pub next door about our booking and to be fair the bar made was nice I can't falt her, she gave us the room key and told us where to go but they weren't serving food this night, thank God the local Indian restaurant got our custom. On inspection of the building it was as tired on the inside as it was on the outside. The floor was moving in places under the carpet. Fire door not closing on the landing and the fire escape door on our floor would need to be kicked open in the event of something happening. The room was clean but am glad am close to my partner as the toilet door in our room slid close and we had to put the TV up loud when It was in use. We never went for breakfast, so we could make a quick escape in the Morning. It's well over priced for what you get.

Had a nice overnight stay with my partner. I upgraded our room to a superior one but it looked out onto a wall which was a bit of a shame. I think the pool and spa facilities could be upgraded, I'd also seen the photo of the outdoor jacuzzi and was really excited to use it but was told you had to pay extra for it which was a bit gutted about. Really liked the bar area and staff were very good. Quite isolated if you don't have a car but hotel staff helped us get taxis. Would return if spa area was improved. But the grounds are beautiful and decor is lovely.
