The tables were not cleared. It took 15 minutes to serve a plate of soup with bread rolls (actually warm baguette halves with butter - nice)

I have been to this place many times before and as this was my first post pandemic visit I can't say i was impressed. It had had a makeover and the interior looked much better I had two cheese oatcakes and didn't enjoy them as the cheese had not melted properly. I was looking forward to having some oatcakes as I've been living in spain for a while and missed them. Very disappointed.

£6 for fish and frozen chips, they had no mushy peas so I had to have beans, and for some strange reason it came with salad also, and weirdly spiralised cucumber (which I moved onto the other plate. Fish looked anemic but was that thick in batter and so greasy, I could squeeze it out in my fingers. My little boy had 2 oatcakes, 1 cheese oatcake from the menu is £2.50 I think it was and then £1 for an extra one. I could get a dozen n half for that price. There was that much cheese on them, it wasn’t even able to melt, stone cold. Again the oatcakes came with the weird spiralised cucumber salad. My partner had the mega breakfast or what ever it’s called for £9.95, asked for VERY WELL DONE/BURNT bacon, came with jiggly fat still on so it wasn’t well done. Stone cold spoonful of beans, undercooked yolk on the egg, but then a crispy bottom of the egg. Mushrooms done in a deep fat fryer swimming in grease, so was the hash brown. The lad that served us was lovely, but please give people time to try the food first for 5minutes before doing a table check. No salt and vinegar given to us with our sauces. We didn’t say anything as new customers came in and ordered, we didn’t want to put them off. But we left nearly all of it, the only good thing was the cup of teas. £25 down for a poor meal, which we then had to spend more money going elsewhere. Also it was FREEZING on there, stick the heaters on, I don’t wanna see my breath when I’m eating my dinner.

Bacon was that under cooked i was surprised it didn't run off the plate to visit wilkos, had half a spoonful of beans, tomato that couldn't decide whether it was burnt or raw, and a mushroom that was somehow yellow? Wouldn't recommend, waste of money.

Been in today first time since lockdown. Looks brilliant with the new makeover. Also food is fantastic and staff very friendly. Food is also at a very good price with the current 50% off in the mornings. Highly recommended for a brew and bite to eat with friends or family.

Called in for breakfast first and last time... was very disappointed the menu did not state what items came in the breakfast...i ordered the regular one which came with fried bread not toast... had to send that back which was replaced....beans came in a tiny side dish when tipped into the plate was no more than a desert spoonful.. the sausage was awful... the price I thought was not good value for money... on using the toilets was disgusted... paint was flaking off the walls and all over the floor... the sink was very dirty and the baby changing facilities were filthy!!!!i couldn't believe it... the only good thing I have to say is the young boy who attended my table was very polite his hospitality check was very good...Such A Shame as this cafe is in a prime location and could be a fantastic cafe with the right owner.... Would NOT visit again or recommend to anyone.

Good family run business. Glad to see you re-opened. Great value for money. Outside seating area a great idea. Definitely worth a visit when you're in the area

I confess to being a regular here!. Clean and tidy, human staff, good choice of food and a reasonable price (e.g. all day breakfast with coffee is £4.75) What more could you ask?

I have driven past many times and it is always busy so I thought it must be good! I was mistaken, it must just be the only place open. The oatcakes and the cheese were completely tasteless, the bacon was only half cooked with uncooked white fat - horrible. Sausage was ok. Waste of money for me because we couldn't eat any of it and it was too far to return. Won't be going again.
