If you have very low expectations then it's a place for you

Only visit this venue 4 times a year always for breakfast and only on a Monday but for me, food always cooked the way i asked for, prices better than most places, service never had any need to complain, staff always very friendly, been visiting now for five years, for me i'll be here as usual next time.

Caragh was a great this morning with our service and checking everything for me and my friend was OK.

Went for breakfast today with my wife, and it was good value for money with a refillable hot drink. The menu had plenty to choose from, including vegetarian for my wife. The English breakfast was really nice and well cooked. Becki was very pleasant and took our order and delivered it to our table and ensured we were happy and had everything we needed. Lovely atmosphere and very clean and tidy. We will be returning.

The staff become very rude after an error on there behalf. It's always been cheap and cheerful the foods the same as its always been. Having said that probably would go again

In the cold , my family and I decided to venture out for breakfast. With snow all around and temperatures plummeting we were surprised to find it moderately busy. We were met by Becki who’s smile and infectious great attitude immediately warmed us all up. We were lucky enough to be served all through our breakfast by Becki who attended all our needs with the greatest of attitudes. Breakfast arrived promptly and was delicious. And just as promptly our plates were taken away and we received another round of drinks in perfect time. A really pleasurable experience would for sure visit again. The real star of the show was Becki who was fantastic throughout, you have an absolute gem there chatterley well played

We asked for a table in a corner due to our daugher having high social anxiety and the tabke we were given was absolutely perfect. The food was outstanding and everything was exactly as we ordered even though there was 7 of us nothing was too much trouble. The meal was booked for my Sons 15th birthday meal, it was his choice to come to the venue as he loves the robot that helps to serve. The staff also fetched out a Birthday cake for our Son and sang him Happy Birthday. We could not have asked for a better experience.

Had a Christmas dinner today and was disappointed the whole meal was cold,gravy was lumpy, turkey wasn't carved turkey and carrots were raw. The roast potatoes were that dry you couldn't get your fork into them .Very disappointed

Works Xmas meal. Great service tonight from all, but a special shout out to the lady (Kaisey I believe) who kept in touch in the run up. Seems like a well managed and organized pub. Relaxed and friendly. We had a 3 course festive menu booked for 8, our table was decorated, crackers included. It was fairly busy but all courses were delivered quickly and with the help of a quirky Robot that caught everyone’s attention! Good pub grub with a Xmas twist. Portions were bigger than expected and well worth the price we paid.

Came in about 12pm today, a lovely friendly lady with dark hair and glitter on her face (didnt get her name), was very helpful when ordering and answered all my questions and because I didn't want roast potatoes offered me a jacket potato as an alternative which was perfect and I wouldn't have thought of that. She read thro what I'd ordered to check which was great as I had a lot to remember. She was also very polite noticing me waiting when I first came to the bar and acknowledged me straight away, saying I'll be right with you (and she was)! I ordered the Turkey, as I fancied a Christmas Dinner for a change. I usually have chicken skewers which are amazing. I will say I was just expecting a standard Sunday lunch type of dinner, but it was above and beyond that. The presentation was lovely and it was a lot larger than I had anticipated, but not too overwhelming, just a great portion size. The gravy was very tasty, turkey perfect esp with the cranberry, the Yorkshire pudding nice and crisp and veg spot on, I even ate my sprouts which I don't usually like!! The kids polished theirs off and even tried to pinch mine. Hubby was very impressed with the Crown of Burgers too. We love coming here, the service is always good, the Male manager is also very helpful and always has a big welcoming smile. Happy looking staff, in my opppinion reflects a very well managed pub. I'm not local btw, and don't know any staff personally, just think it's important to give credit where credit's due. The food is always amazing and we will definitely keep coming back! Excited to try their new jalapeño and cheese sausage mix it up, only to be very disappointed by their one sausage on the whole plate…which was cut it half. Absolutely flabbergasted by this!

Cheap & cheerful quick service and great staff

We had a great visit as we always do. The Chatterley Whitfield is where we have our monthly catch up with friends. The staff are so friendly, especially Kaisey who makes a point of saying hello to us each time we visit. The food is always great with plenty to choose from and really well priced. Why would we go anywhere else? 🥰

This pub is our new local, after moving onto the estate earlier this year. We probably go in once a week and on different days. The food is always nice and always hot, and reasonable prices. The staff are always very friendly. Would recommend

Gristle and fatty steak! I had the 11oz rump steak; 2 - 3ozs of it was gristle and fat; (I weighed it when I got home) This made it disappointing after previously good meals enjoyed here. My wife had the 8oz rump steak, again a lot of gristle and fat.

Sunday lunch was cold asked for it to be reheated meat tough veg portions very small peas and carrots. Not at all appetising. Service left something to be desired. This was 80th birthday with family and friends very disappointing

We came here for the kids Halloween breakfast. The kids had a fantastic time. Great value for money, the kids had breakfast, activity packs and a Halloween disco. Couldn't fault it 😊

I've been a few times for breakfast and always had lovely service and enjoyed the food. I've never had to book a table for breakfast but had to for one evening meal. It has had a lovely refurb and has a little play area and nice outdoor space to watch sports on the big TV. Special mention to Kaisey (KC if spelt wrong sorey) who served us today. She was super lovely. She was dressed as a witch for the halloween disco and still came over to speak with my son as we hadn't booked the party and gave him a little treat. She was so warming and welcoming. Thank you KC

Over priced alcohol. Slow staff. Cheap and nasty meals. The last time I had a breakfast, it looked like my black pudding and sausages had been rolled around the kitchen floor.

Avoid having a all day breakfast , the bacon was full rind, not nice. Egg was hard not runny. ( Was told I should have asked at the bar when ordering I want it runny egg. ) Really!!! Last of all the sausage was absolutely disgusting. When I spoke to the server she said they come in cooked , so all they have to do is to warm them up. So I will not be having a breakfast from there again. While I'm in a moaning mood, how do they justify £3.10 for a pint of coke, we wonder why people choose to drink n drive !!!

One person on the bar taking food and drinks orders - the place was busy , the wait to be served was too long When It was my turn to be served I asked about the chicken goujon sandwich if the coating had chilli or cayenne pepper in it as I’m allergic , and was told to download the allergy app ? Went back to my table , tried to download the app no joy no internet plus it wanted a location which wouldn’t work , my friend went up to order her food and was served by a different woman ( the manager) she explained about my allergies and how we all had tried to download the app but couldn’t , she left the bar and came to our table 19 , and said she would ask the chef , why couldn’t the woman who I spoke to do this in the first place ( because she gave the impression of she couldn’t be bothered) the manager came back and said I was ok to have the chicken , so I ordered this sandwich, my friends had already ordered there’s by this time , one ordered the chicken, bacon sandwich on brown bread ( no mayo) it came not even cut in half and the bread had been toasted and just crumbled when she tried to pick it up , and ended up eating the sandwich with a knife and fork , all 3 of us said that we will not be back , and certainly will not recommend this pub to family and friends

Cracking bit of pub grub and the robot bring your food was amazing the kids loved it...highly recommended

First time at this particular one and won't be going back we ordered two large mains from the children's menu and I ordered the Tandoori chicken sizzler which according to the menu came with strips of chicken, onions, peppers on a sizzling skillet, a salad with fresh chilli, spring onion and coriander herb salad and 2 dips. Salad was a tiny bowl of finely chopped coriander, spring onion, and 2 slicks of chilli. The Tandoori was a very thin piece of chicken that was overcooked and dry on a few onions, plate not sizzling at all. Grandchildren enjoyed their main, but the desert was tiny. Luckily, i ordered her a scoop of vegan ice cream. The child's chocolate brownie is I finger slice again luckily I'd ordered ice-cream with it. My cheesecake was nice. When they bought the main and I saw how small they were, I asked for a portion of chips only to be told I would need to order at the bar or on the app. I didn't bother as we had already waited 45 mins for food. Atmosphere, lots of sports TVs, loud music and customers having to shout over the music to have a conversation

We ate her for Breakfast having mainly cooked English and Baked Beans on toast with sausage extras.We all said the same as the sausage needed cooking again.The service was better than the food but it was inexpensive and extremely good value. So to be fair we probably got what we paid for.

We always use the Chatterley Whitfield when I visit my parents. Today's offering was abysmal the portionsizes on all meals were a lot smaller than usual. The roast turkey was the pressed turkey roll the 3 minute roast potatoes a small amount of what seemed to be powered mashed potato. The fish was a lot smaller than beforeand there was about 10 chips on each portion. There was about 6 pieces of Scampl. We ordered a pudding that took 25 minutes to come to our table. We'll be using the Furlong in future. Hungry Horse it wasn't enough to fill a Shetland Pony.

Very good value for money and a very good atmosphere.

This place is really popular, I recommend making a reservation if you plan to eat here in an evening as it has been very busy every time we've been. The venue has recently been refurbished and you can tell. The table was ever so slightly sticky and peas were slightly overcooked but this is a massive improvement on previous visits. We were very impressed with the new robot member of staff, I hope she plans to stick around.

It is more expensive since the refurbishment, the price of San Miguel is the most expensive in stoke. The food is standard with small serving of fries.

Last minute decision to go out today for lunch. I rang and used your service to book a table, it was easy and we then knew we were ok for a table. On arrival we were shown to our table. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. You were busy but it didn't take long for our meals to arrive. We were all extremely happy with our meals, they were hot and tasty, certainly good value for money. I could see all the staff clearing tables, serving, all working hard. Thank you all. We will return.

Huge bright and modern pub serving a large menu of familiar favourites. Quite clearly popular with locals it was busy and child friendly. Staff and service is friendly and efficient; food was served within 10 minutes of ordering. Given the range of menu items, catering quality is more than acceptable as the food is tasty, generous and well presented. We had bacon cheeseburger and fish and chips. Definitely good value around the £10 mark each. Tons of parking and space inside and out.

We went to Chatterley Whitfield Hungry Horse last night. We didn't book a table and when we asked if any tables were free the front of house host stated "you haven't booked". It wasn't the fact in stating the obvious but the way it was said in a very arrogant manner. He stated you can go in the bar if you can find a table. We went to the bar and there was a table. It was full of used glasses and dirty. I asked a waitress if she could kindly clean the table before we ordered. She said " in a minute". Again in an abrupt manner. I eventually cleared the table and wiped the table down myself with cleaner and cloth that was left at the end of the bar, health and safety i think? The food was fine but hospitality terrible. I think staff need to be reminded customer hospitality goes a long way!

Good food at 'pub prices' . If you want a 5 star gourmet meal then this isn't the place for you but if you want a friendly, clean and enjoyable meal then this is definitely the place for you. Very friendly staff and very accommodating to your requests and queries. An enjoyable visit as normal.

Massively improved since the refurb, there are still some rude staff however the overall atmosphere and food is much improved

Poor bar service. I waited for well over 5 minutes when no one else was waiting. The 2 women behind the bar walked past me multiple times and ignored me repeatedly until I had to say "excuse me" to get attention. Why I would stand at the bar that long without wanting to order is a bit baffling.
