I don't like going out, however monthly I will go here, im a fussy eater and full of anxiety but yet they make sure they cater to my every need, my food is always perfectly done the way I request and they are always so so polite! Iv watched many people come in just to say hello aswell as large gatherings for a scrummy breakfast! You really do get the best of both worlds! There's outside to sit or corner tables to hide at if you feel the need, I honestly have no problem with my anxiety coming here and that's down to how comfortable they make me feel. Absolutely lovely staff, excellent portions and food cooked perfectly to my fussiness, honestly the ONLY place to go 😊

I've eaten breakfast all over the world from the US to Hong Kong, from Tromso to South Georgia and yes that's a lot of breakfasts but I just love Porkies. Friendly staff, good prices, consistent food and range on the menu. Dave, Sharon and all the staff are stars. This is what a Community cafe is all about. Please keep up the good work!

Just visited Porkies for one of their delicious roast dinners which they sell every Wednesday. The food was excellent and when it was brought to our table I noticed that it was pipping hot and I had a full plate of delicious food. I had roast, lamb, 3 roast potatoes, peas, turnip, cabbage, carrots and yummy gravy all for £6. I highly recommend this venue for the family.

Me and my brother have been going to the cafe for 2 years. The food gives us a upset stomach, Freedge freezer is next to toilets smells. Dave oops the food temp and repeats it in over when customer wants it. Over charge for hot drinks from £1.20 to £1.80 rip off. Dave swears in front of customers and shows his local customers up with mental health problems. Always wants me to help at cafe no pay. Not recommend I advice customers to find a happier and better cafe some where else. You will be very disappointed with porkies cafe Waste of time and the owner is know as the Whitleigh grass so if you want to pay a visit watch.what you say. Hope they go out of business due to cost of living

I'm a regular here. Porkies is a great place to go for a good feed. Or to find out what is going on locally. Down to earth lovely people work here. If you are new to the area or staying for any length of time. Introducing yourself here is essential and will improve your time in whitleigh to the nth degree. If I had to give a criticism. Sometimes. Rarely. But sometimes. The hash brown is cooked in the wrong flavour of oil for my tastes. Get yourself down there. I might say hi.

A entered the room for a quick breakfast and was instantly made to feel more than welcome. The generous portion proved incredible value for money, and the atmosphere made it clear that many people who came here were repeat visitors for good reason! The staff seem to know everyone by name, and soon make you feel like you're part of the family too - balancing professionalism and atmosphere perfectly. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked, way beyond my expectations. Highly recommended!!!

The businesses in this mini hub on the outer Plymouth suburb of Whitleigh are varied and seem to thrive. This fairly jolly cafe is busy, family run and seems to enter into community activities. On our visit shortly before the referendum it was obvious which side the owners were on. The general feel is upbeat and there is ample close parking. Predictable menu and average prices.

Interesting that there’s been a lot of interest since The Vault closed and the lease was up for grabs. A lively CBD cafe business called ‘Buddha Hut’, which started a year or so ago in Union Street then moved to lower Cornwall Street has now announced they are expanding again and have acquired the Mutley lease and will open at the beginning of November with a cafe selling lots of CBD coffee and food etc on the ground floor with the large basement given over to other CBD products.

Three of us came in for informal supper. Booked but not necessary, maybe half full. Deal of £25 for two portions of fish and ships, geared towards couples but we have to pay about £17 for a third. The girls serving seemed to be getting edgy towards the end maybe because there seemed to be a group of their friends towards end of evening.

Have purchased from here several times - both the cake slices and celebration cakes. Most of the time the cakes are great - light and fluffy, but have been two occasions where the cake was too sweet and did not taste very fresh (seems more of an exception), but will still be purchasing nonetheless.

The Chancel has been one of our favourite places to eat in Plymouth for many years. During Covid and a bit longer they’ve been delivering or preparing for collection. Without much thought or any foreknowledge we walked down this evening hoping it might up and running for their traditional bistro food and good wines. Very disappointed therefore to find it dark, empty and will a To Let sign. No hint that there might still be an online service. Pity and we’re sad. Many dozens of happy memories.

Instalaciones limitadas pero justo en el corazón de todas esas bicicletas encantadoras. Siéntate adentro o afuera bajo techo. . Gran café también.
