Pops in Kirklees

I got the Alabama burger, and usually I don't like smash burgers, but this one was different. A proper big boy burger; I loved it till the last bite. Highly recommended.

Food was late, we rang twice and on the second occasion we were told that the food was on the way when we said that we wanted to cancel we were told that food was about to leave, when food eventually arrived it was cold and some food was burnt, it took a total of 1hour and 45minutes for food to arrive

Staff were really good and understanding but still unhappy it took my order 1hour 45 minutes to arrive aswell as coming wrong without any real solution to the situation

After getting the wrong order, the restaurant resolved it quickly for us. The food was worth the wait and great value for money.

It was almost nearly 2 hours again late and we phoned plenty times to see where it was, but on plus side food always gorgeous

I give them 1 star because when I rang them to order food they said they don't have box to put my munch box

I ordered at 8.15pm and the food was delivered at 10pm. They kept changing the delivery time. The food was cold. The delivery guy was sat in his car for 10 mins outside my house on the phone for 10 mins before he delivered- I checked this later on the cctv. When I complained they said they would send more food out however I dont know who would eat all the extra food. They denied a refund request. Shocking service

so, the order/delivery time was longer than most, but... The food was very nice, good batter on the wings, good quality burger and the loaded fries with chicken are a bargain. Will order again, so long as I'm not in a rush.

normally the food is spot on sadly tonight the burger was cold and the bun hard i couldnt even finish it the food is normally really good hopefully was just a bad batch

Took forever to arrive over 1.5hrs and basic chicken burger with cold, and dry fries. For next time no thank you.

absolute shocking delivery time waiting Iver 2 hours and I live local to here haha shameful and could only give me mozzarella sticks for inconvenience after spending over 30 quid

chicken burger was soaking in oil. Went straight in bin. waste of money. customer service was terrible. was not offered resend or refund.

Had and issue with delivery tonight. our order was sent to someone elses hous and we got someone elses.. rang pops as ours was a big order. the guy on the phone was lovely, really polite and couldnt apologise enough. sorted it out quickly. food arrived hot and all was lovely.

Ordered for delivery took about 35 minutes getting to me and food was absolutely delicious would recommend the dirty Alabama box meal

I used to regularly order from this restaurant until a few years ago. My experience then has meant I stopped, and I have not been back since. I had ordered 3 meals online for delivery. One of them was chicken wrap meal. After 2 hours they sent the meals, all 3 wrong and one being a peri peri wrap instead of chicken wrap. I ate my incorrect meal because I was hungry, but spoke to manager on the phone about wrap because my mum who I bought it for doesn't like peri peri. Manager had a very bad attitude and called me a liar (???) but in the end they arranged to deliver a new meal. I was told in a rude tone to return the original meal to the driver so he could inspect it. I did so after one hour when the wrap came (so 3 hours after the order). And it was another peri peri wrap. Once again I phone up. The manager was very rude again, told me I was "an idiot" and hung up on me this time. Thinks I don't know what peri peri sauce is or something. I was a regular customer with over 400 orders! At no point was I rude or abusive, I was talking normally. I know some people will be biased and be horrible to staff then say they weren't, but I really wasn't. I just wanted the food for my mum. I sent my gf of the time who was kind of psycho and I feel sorry for the one who took that call, even if it was rude manager. They agreed to replace the meal again. This time it took 2 hours again. So 5 hours after the order was placed, and it was correct. I again returned the incorrect meal to the driver and unpacked it. But they didn't make it a meal, just the wrap. At this point my mum just ate it and we wrote off the chips. What was meant to be a treat had become a nightmare. But I've never forgotten, and never returned. And I will never return. They lost my custom for life.

would have arrived early except the driver got lost and kept hanging up the phone while I was trying to direct him. Im not actually sure he was even trying to find my house, as he kept telling me he was at the dentist which is at the end of my street. This went on for 15 mins so my food was no longer hot

Food arrived about 25 mins later than stated but the food was nice and hot and a free portion of mozzarella sticks for the short wait was added which is a nice touch so no complaints from me.

I’ve ordered from Pops a handful of times and more often than not, it’s delivered late. Today, my food was 55 mins late. Never had an issue with the food but I’ve always had to request an update with my order. Today, as the delivery time had been twice changed, I asked for some money off (more as a token gesture) but was refused as the traffic was the cause for the delay. I won’t be ordering from here again; had I know there’d be a huge delay, I would’ve ordered elsewhere.

You could tell the fries were not fresh as they were chewy and hard. Really poor and very disappointing as we order for pops regular, we’ll not be ordering from them again now.

Ordered food from here tonight it arrived around half an hour after it stated it were on its way. The food came luke warm, the chips were hard and chewy tasted like they had been warmed up in a microwave. The price of the food is ridiculous for the quality, absolutely disgusted.

Haven't eaten here but stopped by for their shakes. I got a Ferrero Rocher one which was nice, smooth and thick with good flavour. Next time I will try the food.

Fresh and tasty food. It arrived a little earlier. Chips were nice and crunchy and all the burgers were great. Would definitely recommend! 😊

Haven't ordered in awhile so decided to gove it another go and i'm glad O did. The food was absolutely incredible, the burgers were incredibly moreish and the chips which i'm usually not a lover of where fantastic.

Gone really cheap on the milkshakes. Snickers milkshake is meant to have Snickers. Not cheap nuts to imitate the chocolate. Snickers bar cost what.. 25p? Time to stop being stingy. Lost a customer unfortunately.

Food missing from my delivery again. Definitely the last time i ever order from Pops. Every time i get delivery something is missing. Staff don't care. They are literally ripping off customers. Awful place!

Wow amazing services the smash burger was nice and the bubble gum milk shake was a banger just how I like it,I was served by huraira at the front was lovely and treated me well. Will be trying again.

We have been ordering from pops for many years and we've always really enjoyed the food and never had issues with delivery. Unfortunately this is no longer the case. The last two times we've ordered we've waited over 1.5hrs for delivery, despite it stating on just eat that delivery takes 50 mins-1hr. This last time I even had items missing that I've paid for. The customer service isn't great either, the staff couldn't really give a toss when you ring them. We won't be ordering again.

Absolutely horrendous, I advise people to stay away from this place. I ordered just 1 burger and it took them 40-50 minutes to make while I was waiting inside getting inpatient. And all I could hear in the back was the staff laughing around not giving a care in the world. There was also quite a few people waiting who were were also getting very frustrated. And finally when the food came it wasn’t even hot, it was lukewarm at best and that’s being nice. The service was terrible the person at the front kept saying 2 minutes to me every single time I would ask how long the order would take. Very frustrating and would definitely not ever come back again.

This place is disgusting don't order from here even had the boss on the phone and threaten me cos I put 1 star and he didn't even want to resolve my issue that I had with my food that came flat cold and over 2 hours late and then I got told by delivery driver to come and collect it from outside my home cos he didn't want to come to my door even though I'd already paid for it through just eat. Stay well away. EDIT TO POP'S REPLY: I have not received a refund from just eat they said it was delivered & hour and half after ordering & there's nothing they can do at this time so don't lie an say I've received a refund! Also I wasn't abusive maybe I was angry at the fact I've basically been robbed but never abusive.

There was a delay in delivery but they gave us some extras to apologise. The food was absolutely amazing! Gorgeous chicken and beef burgers. Definitely coming here again

Chicken wings had a disgusting smell! the chicken was definitely past its use by date. Made me throw the full meal in the bin it put off my appetite straight away.

Always (religiously) missing items from our order, forget to deliver the milkshakes. Week after forget the sauce and drinks 🤷‍♂️

Everything arrived luke warm or cold, chips & hallumi fries were overcooked. Burgers werent too bad but they werent enough to improve the meal.
