Poppins Restaurant in Bournemouth

We visit our local Poppins a couple of times a week when we can (hospital appointments permitting) the staff are well known to us and are very pleasant people, they always have a smile on their faces and know what drinks we want before we say! Their food is outstanding and the place is always spotless, lovely.

Looking for somewhere with the whole family- Plenty of seats. Fast service. Food ok and the kids said they’d rather be here than McDonalds!

Nice bit of lunch at a fair price. Only downside was the smart arsed comment from the waitress who obviously thought she was funny. That said, we were served by 3 different people and all the rest were great

My most favourite place for either late breakfast or lunch in the area. Food is always delicious and freshly prepared. Kaz and his team are amazing people, professional yet friendly and helpful. I'm always happy to return.

Excellent food for service is excellent can get a little busy but you can always find a seats I recommend the breakfast and the omelette all the food the food is always cooked from fresh to order 10 out of 10 excellent

Visited today.had the brunch.chips .burger.bacon eggs.overall impression cheap small sausage.and burger.not very good quality meal for £7.50. Doubtful would visit this cafe again. Staff friendly and meal served quickly.

Over priced average food… I don’t understand the other reviews now I’ve been?!

I came into the Boscombe Poppins Restaurant, since my other Restaurant, I go into was closed on a Sunday, and I was pleased that Poppins, was open, since I have heard a lot about Poppins and the great menu choice they provide. I visited Southampton on the Friday, and thought they were good and lets see how Boscombe, branch can do, since the food was nice in Southampton Branch. I was sitting outside in the hot sunshine, since it was busy inside, so it looked like a good restaurant? i chose a sausage sandwich on brown bread and a small coffee, which was very nice and tasty, with the tomato sauce on the sausage sandwich. My Support Worker had a orange juice and we thought the staff were friendly, helpful and very welcoming. i believer there would be Access to the restaurant with a ramp going inside, easy Access for Wheelchairs and Accessible/Disabled toilets? I would come back again, by swopping restaurants on occasions when i'm in Boscombe, shopping or on business?

Local treasure, my partner and I had a great breakfast and really nice fresh coffee..Staff couldn't do enough.

They have lots of choices on the menu good mid range prices and clean,friendly place with good,fast food service.

I like Poppins because its not pretentious. Decent coffee and food.

Very attentive staff, great choice on the menu and lots for my 6 year old to choose. The food came quickly and tasted great. Very good value for money, we will be back.

Been to a few poppins now good food but the only complaint is that the ommlet was a bit flat both days, taste was ok though, very friendly place to eat

I've been paying 'contactless' all through various lockdowns, and haven't been swindled once - until I called in to Poppins Restaurant a couple of weeks back. I had a coffee and an egg and bacon roll. My bank statement arrived today. They charged me £27.00.

Lovely Poppins easy to find with lots of seating inside and out. Great food at great prices. Lovely staff. VERY highly recommended.

Visited around 11am not 2 busy, prompt service by nice staff, felt covid safe very clean with only alternate tables in use had lovely blt baguettes plenty filling for reasonable price & decent mug of tea overall very nice, varied menu with something for everyone

1st time here, has seen that it's always busy whn I have passed by. Had a Jacket potato beans and coleslaw. Fairly big portions. And very good value for money!

Always great customer service, the staff are really friendly. Portions are large and the food comes out quick. The ingredients aren't premium but it's still really tasty and cheap! Would always recommend Poppins to anyone 😊

It was a surprise due to I thought u just walked in and went to counter and ordered like in any workmans cafe but not in this place, it's table service and the staff r very polite and the food portions r very large for the cheep price the cafe charges, I will definitely b going back and I'll spread the word to my friends and family.

It's very rare that I feel the need to leave a 1 star review, but I'd give them less if I could. We ordered an americano (requesting that it's not a filter coffee which we were assured it wasnt), a pot of tea, two kids meals and drinks, a toasted sandwich and a hot baguette (which I expected toasted, but realised it just said "hot" on the menu). Credit where it's due, the kids meals were ok and the kids enjoyed them. The toasted sandwich was completely inedible, instead of being toasted it was a sandwich made with cold toast and the chicken filling was still frozen in places. This was removed from our bill, although I'm not certain as the overall price didn't seem to reflect this. The americano was clearly a filter coffee in taste, smell and temperature as well. The "hot" baguette was stone cold, even the butter on the baguette wasn't even melted and the baguette itself was so rubbery it was clearly just microwaved for a few seconds before being filled. The waiter did offer to toast it, but that wouldn't have improved the rubbery bread that I couldn't even cut with a knife. I was informed that they don't toast anything properly anymore because customers have complained that toast is harder than fresh bread.... Overall, as there are so many other coffee shops and cafes within a few minutes stroll of here, I'd just avoid them completely. I feel like I was charged nearly £18 for 2 kids meals,a pot of tea and 2 damn near inedible meals. Save your money and don't bother.

Stopped off at this lovely restaurant for a latte and 'snack'. Staff and the service were excellent, we ordered two lattés, a toasted teacake and my hubby had a quarter pounder with portion of chips. Wow, his meal was huge, perfectly cooked burger, and mounds of chips, Needless to say he was delighted, A great gem of a café.

Really lovely polite, clean helpful staff. Open kitchen. What I would call budget, frozen type food but none the less very well presented, huge portions and very hot. Lovely salad. Nice menu choice. Coffee and teas lovely. It's a place I'll happily visit again as I can't fault it.

Tga food is always really nice & at a reasonable price. It's just a pity that it's situated in Boscombe which is a s@@@ hole

Had a late breakfast here last week with a latte within an hour I was violently sick. I'd not eaten anything else that day. Service was good food was not.
