We went at 10.15 Wednesday 6th June it was closed no explanation

I booked this little tea place for me and my friends for my birthday! After reading reviews, I was a little worried that I’d made a mistake. I was wrong. Food was lovely and the staff, even though they were very busy, were very lovely and apologetic about wait times. Me and my friends had a lovely time there, and for many it was their first cream tea experience! My only complaint is that there was dust in one of our jugs, but other than that, a really enjoyable service! Thank you!

First time and last time visit! Omgoodness, totally mortified by staff member’s overgrown underarm arm hair bush dripping out from her sleeveless shirt. Granted it was Halloween morning but what a turn your stomach event, I was with my husband and cousin and we will never again be able to unsee what we witnessed In today's world and the right to let people do as they do, I get it! but as fellow restaurant owners when dealing with food, hair should not be exposed, especially underarm hair, should be nicely tucked away. Truly you can not imagine… not a nice memory for such a cute place.

Best cream tea ever, loose leaf teas, warm scones, perfect

Dot teas has been very responsive since planning this leaving do for my colleague. Always emailing back and forth and very attentive to our needs. They made us aware that it would be a bit cramped with the amount of people we had but this was just to manage our expectations. They let us use the private room upstairs for this event which was a complete bonus we just had to put a deposit down to secure the booking which was then taken off our bill at the end. The afternoon tea itself was delightful and not bad at £19.50 each. The toilet was right next to us so didn’t have to keep going up and down the stairs. The decor is just so cute. The waitress was really attentive and lovely and nothing was too much. Thank you Dot teas, we all really appreciated it!!!

Super pretty little tea room. Lots of tasty snacks on the menu. Staff were friendly. It's a bit small inside so wheelchairs or buggies might struggle. Seats outside for when the weather is nice. They serve a very good pot of tea with real leaves.

Service was good food was ok bacon sandwich with about 3 crisps and half dead salad. Food way over priced for what you get.

Outside presentation was lovely and very inviting…. However, once inside….. awful and tacky. Table was sticky. Crockery was stained Milk jug cracked Salt & Pepper pots dirty Pack of sweetners dirty and un usable Should be called Grotty Dotty’s

Sorry, we won't come back again. We waited 20 minutes for 3 cups of tea. It was so loud that a conversation was not possible.nthe peppermint tea tased like hot water. The Earl Grey was ok. For this service way to expensive.

Popped into this delightful Tea Room for a coffee and a toasted teacake early this morning. I’d cycled into Westbourne and hadn’t had breakfast. The ambience was warm, clean and inviting. The waitress was charming. She brought out a tray with a large mug, with saucer, of hot coffee with hot milk in a little china jug and a pretty china plate with a large plump perfectly toasted teacake on it. In separate dishes were generous portions of butter and strawberry jam. A gentleman on a different table ordered the same and asked for apricot jam which he was happily given. My coffee and teacake were delicious and I’m very critical. I give Dot.Teas 10/1. Well done! I’ll be back with hungry friends.

Bit disappointed. Pre booked here for my uncles birthday and when we arrived the first thing we were told was they were not doing hot food, at lunch time.! Why had they not phoned me to let me know. Disappointing as I had said on the phone it was my uncles birthday. The mushrooms on toast was just normal bread swimming in sliced mushrooms in sauce. No garnish or anything. Basic bread. Overall I was embarrassed to choose here for my uncles day

Had afternoon tea from dot teas for my best friends Hen Do. Gemma was so helpful and responded to emails really quickly, the food was delivered and presented beautifully, vegan and vegetarian boxes available to which was amazing for our group! Would recommend and will definitely be returning

Delightful afternoon spent here today with a friend, indulging in their superb afternoon tea. Just perfect! We shall definitely return, no more of a recommendation is required.

Lovely place very pretty as a tea shop should be ,delish menu with excellent crusty bread healthy dishes with really fresh farm eggs ,+ wonderful cakes& scones also lovely proper afternoon tea is served with loose tea in a pot all very nice indeed staff are happy & friendly would recommend for light bites so do check it out you'll be rather glad u did .

Not a very welcoming place, I took one of my autistic clients in for a cup of tea or coffee and got turned away just as we walked through the door, when there were seats available. The person serving that day seemed to discriminate against him.

My friend and I visited your tea room today - the first time since lockdown and we very disappointed with our experience. The cheese scones weren't warm after waiting a while to receive them.We both thought the staff weren't friendly at all.Sorry we will not be coming back to Dot Teas again.

A nice tea room with good menu. Had a milkshake on my first visit which was amazing and the cream teas are very nice too. Locals book tables which show its a popular place. Lovely friendly service too.

A quaint little tea shop with friendly service. Worth a little wait for fresh hot scones that was delivered with just the right amount of jam and cream. 30 mins walk from the beach but was well worth the effort.

I had afternoon tea delivered to me for my birthday back in January from my daughter and son in law. I require a gluten free diet and I was fully catered for. It was delicious and delivered on time. Thank you. Will definitely be back once you are open.

My mum who can't see very well goes here. The ladies look after her and read the menu to her. Great cakes and toasties. Lovely place, would definitely recommend.

Nos detuvimos algunas veces para tomar té / café, que siempre ha sido genial, y hoy almorzamos que incluía un té con crema. Fue excelente, sopa casera, sándwich recién hecho y envoltura de pollo seguido de un gran bollo (¡crema fresca coagulada!) Y una gran tarta de limón fresco, todo regado con té de hojas y café molido. Fue excelente y todo para menores de 30 años. Las medidas de Covid estaban en su lugar con mesas bien limpiadas y máscaras usadas en áreas de preparación, nos sentimos seguros. Entonces, si estás en la zona, tómate un tiempo para tomar un descanso y un buen almuerzo o simplemente un té, no te arrepentirás: -)

First visit and we’ll definitely be back. Lunch for two, plenty of choice, staff friendly and attentive. Food came freshly prepared and was delicious.

We had afternoon tea delivered to our house to celebrate our 3 year wedding anniversary. Our adventure started at dots 6 years earlier so was great to have them deliver for our anniversary. The online service and food was great.

WOW .... The setting is so cute and cosy, lovely atmosphere and the loveliest members of staff. As for the food. Comfort food in all its glory and the ingredients of very high quality.

stumbled upon this delightful little gem.......very nice welcome & prompt service......had the soup of the day (Minestrone) - very tasty indeed.....the only let down was the coffee - sorry - tasted like instant

Lovely staff. Chunky sandwiches. Great tea and cake. It was my wife's birthday and they went out and bought a helium birthday balloon and set up the table really nicely. Excellent place for afternoon tea.

My husband and I visited with family. We ordered a hot drink and cake while my father and sister wanted something cooked. Our drinks arrived, hot chocolate and a cappuccino but the cake didn't, we drank the drinks, we chatted and still waited. Eventually the hot food and the cake arrived I mentioned that it would have been better, from our point of view, to have the hot drink with the cake. There was no sorry or good customer service just a swift movement of blame on to us for not, shouting out to her!That would have been unpleasant enough but much worse was to follow. As we prepared to leave, my father who is nearer 97 than 96, retrieved his walking stick and made his way to the door. It was not quick enough for the waitress who called in a loud voice, excuse me can I get by. Yes, my father would like to move quicker but his body wont let him! We obviously visited on a busy day when the staff were flustered but no worries as it will never ever happen again, to us anyway!

Came here a few weeks ago with some friends and our babies. The staff were all very lovely and more than happy to help us with placing buggies in suitable areas. A couple came into the cafe whilst we where there and left because "it's too noisey" (looking at the babies), the staff made us feel welcome again by saying that anyone who wasn't ok with babies present in the cafe weren't wanted customers anyway. Lovely food, smoothies and staff. Highly recommended!

Not great service, music too loud. Not quite how I imagined an afternoon tea. Over priced for what we got, one very small jam and one very small cream between two, not worth the money, wouldn't hurt for the staff to smile either

I visited here for the first time for the ‘luxury afternoon tea’ and it was magnificent. I really liked the fact you could choose your own flavoured sandwiches and cake. The sandwiches were full of flavour and very filling. The cake was gorgeous, very moist and a good portion size. The scones were delicious too (and warmed up!) Staff were friendly and attentive. The cafe has a very cute decor as well.A very high recommendation for this cafe, it is a must!

Vintage tea room at it's Best!. We went as a group.of colleagues to gove our Boss a Baby Shower. We were upstairs on our own...and the Ladies were very attentive with their trips up the stairs to keep our teapots and coffee cups replenished and to make sure we were ok. Loved the crockery/cutlery and decor, and the feel of the tea room...took me right back to my Mums Sunday teas..Lovely!.. hope to be back soon with my daughters for a nice cuppa tea!!!Thank You .

We seeked out Dot. Teas, Tea Room with moments to spare as the heavens opened. What a fabulous little haven. Compact and Bijou but perfect, lovely cakes, shakes and a cracking brew. Very friendly staff and reasonably priced. Us girls loved it.

My best friend and I have just had an amazing cream tea today! We very much enjoyed a luxury cream tea including a free glass of prosecco!!! Very highly recommended! Suggest you book a table as very popular and we'll worth a visit. The staff could not have done enough! Fantastic doorstep sandwiches scones and choice of cakes. Not recommended if you are on a diet!!!! We will definitely return again! Enjoy!!! : )

Went for an afternoon tea on Saturday and it was fantastic. The food was delicious and the scones and cakes were all home made. Its got a lovely feel with quaint miss-match china and such lovely waitresses. Will definitely be going back.

Excellent fare and service, PROPER English teas in a proper setting with proper crockery. Coeliac friendly with plenty of options and considerate staff. Tip: if you want the gluten free English cream tea order ahead so they can get you scone ready for you

Lovely breakfast and tea, very good quality and value for money, excellent service. The restaurant was clean and tidy, as well as the rest room.

Came here with my son for a quick snack. He had toasted cheese and ham sandwich which was served with salad and crisps. Food was good quality. I had a caramel hot chocolate which was probably the best flavoured hot choc I’ve had in a long time. My son had a luxury hot choc which came with cream and marshmallows. He said this was very good.

Popped in to Dot tearooms for lunch with my Dad and my dog. It was busy and we luckily got one of the last tables.

Love this place! Had a lovely afternoon tea here and a banoffee and peanut butter milkshake. Great service and great value for money. Will definitely go again!

Just had avocado on toast with some salmon ...... absolutely lovely ..... great food .... great atmosphere..... pop in you won’t be disappointed

I had wanted to visit here for ages as I love all things pretty! It's a bit of squeeze inside but never mind. What I didn't like (although I didn't say as I don't like confrontation) is the way we were treated. We didn't have that much time as ticket expired in half an hour but for a quick coffee I thought that would be ok. Was quite a wait for our coffees so had to drink them quite quick, but again, I don't really mind that. What I do mind is waiting ages for the bill after asking and then at the risk of getting a parking fine deciding I will have to go up to the till (maybe I am supposed to do that?) I stood right at the side of the two ladies and was totally ignored! That is disgusting and so appalingly rude. They may well have been busy but for one of them just to acknowledge me and say they will be with me in a minute - but no! I had to say 'excuse me' in the end and then no apology, just looked up. Is my custom not wanted, am I a nuisance? That's how it felt. I won't be back. Never been treated like this before. It's not as if I said or did anything wrong, as like I said above, I don't like confrontation and really don't stick up for myself. Anyway, no need - I knew I could have my say on this forum.

Lovely little tearoom and glorious cake wonderful service

When visiting Bournemouth we always pop in to this gem. Delicious sandwiches and cakes.Everything appears to be home made. Excellent choice of breads for the sandwiches with good ,plentiful fillings. Wide choice of teas. Decor great.

The cafe is lovely. Everything has a very vintage feel to it. The food was spot on, we had the luxury afternoon tea with a pot of tea, choice of sandwich (I had a toasted one because I fancied it at the time) a scone with jam and cream and a slice of cake. The food was so so delicious. The two ladies who served us were also lovely. Would recommend.

We recently had Dot Teas to cater for a wake in our home for approximately 50 guests. Georgina was very professional supplying and serving cakes and teas. I have no hesitation in recommending Dot Teas, and Thank You Georgina.

Loved it, very qaint and nice tea

This place is so very cute. The food is simple, but quite wholesome. I just had an avocado toast and my friend had a ham sandwich. Both were great. Will come again if in the area.

Me and my Book Group we’re visiting the Bournemouth Christmas market, and Dot’s had been recommended.

Cosy, friendly and good portions, yummy food.

This is a very pleasant cafe in Westbourne and probably one of the better ones for atmosphere. Based of the traditional but shabby chic, though not to much on the shabby, it’s about right. Staff friendliness and attitude can vary and in such a small place, the friendlier the better. The coffee is very good and the toasties full and filling. We also had the Victoria sponge, but that was dry and below par. However, we will go again.

Had morning coffee here. Lovely tasting coffee and toasted teacake with lots of butter. Girls were so friendly and helpful. Thoroughly nice experience

We popped in for a cup of tea and were pleased to be served in a funky china tea set, plus we were surprised at how reasonable the prices were.
