Esta pequeña cafetería excéntrica también sirve comida. Hay mesas y sillas y una amplia selección de comida en el tablero de menús. Mi esposa tenía una papa horneada rellena con pollo coronación que era tan generosa que casi no podía terminarla. Tenía exactamente lo que quería cuando vinimos aquí hoy, que eran patatas fritas y salsa de curry. El personal es muy bienvenido, y el ambiente cálido y amable. Una persona anterior se quejó de cuánto era su rollo de sándwich y sin embargo el precio que pagó fue exactamente lo que se muestra en el tablero de menús. Ni idea de por qué, pensaron que se quejarían de ello.

Fui aquí por un aperitivo para llevar. Íbamos al panto y no habíamos tenido tiempo de comer. Pedí 2 panecillos de jamón y queso y estaban bien, pero el costo fue de 12 libras. £ 6 cada uno, increíble! Realmente siento que me habían estafado a lo grande.

Horrible café, no volveremos nunca más. El tipo que nos atendió no tenía ni idea, parecía que nunca había sido un servidor antes, luchaba por tomar una orden y no tenía nota de lo que pedimos cuando fui a pagar. La otra empleada parecía tener más experiencia pero salió corriendo del café llorando afirmando que se sentía mal. Nunca la vimos regresar. Los cafés eran horribles, me negué a pagar por el moca acuoso, que mi esposa nunca terminó. Panini y rollo eran horribles también, de sabor barato, no de calidad de café. La mesa vacía a nuestro lado había utilizado platos de comida que éramos entonces cuando llegamos y no se llevaron durante todo el tiempo que estuvimos sentados. El lugar parecía asqueroso. Otros pedidos de los comensales se perdieron, después de que la camarera huyó. No dejo comentarios a menudo, pero después de esta experiencia, sinceramente me sentí como si no tuviera opción.

Bueno bien bien, ¿por dónde empiezo con este visitado 'ojos de pop' hoy esperando tener un almuerzo encantador teniendo en cuenta en una calle muy transitada, pero por Dios lo equivocado que estaba, pedí sopa de lentejas, pero ciertamente no había una lenteja en la sopa y ciertamente no había jamón utilizado para hacer la sopa, compañero consiguió una patata al horno, pero temía pensar cuánto tiempo su archivo había estado tirado en la bañera por considerar que la dueña no pensaba que tenía nada inventado. El café en sí se ve muy lleno de pertenencias personales y los pasteles en el gabinete ciertamente no eran frescos, Dios sabe la vez pasada que decidieron darle al lugar una buena limpieza y polvo.

DISGUSTING to say the least!!! Needs closed down environmental heath would a field day... Baked potato "mashed potato" with frozen prawns/mayonnaise & "panini" that came as a toasty latte that came as strong coffee and cappacino was like dish water. Prices for a alacarte restaurant 🤮

Absolutely disgusting, cappacino was tasteless and I asked for cheese and onion panini and got toast with cheese and raw onion, my friend got a prawn baked potato and one of the Prawns were frozen and looked horrible. The tables were filthy as were the salt n pepper pots. Now we know why the place was empty, my friend has since spent the afternoon with a very bad tummy!! The prices they charge for what you get is terrible and no customer service. AVOID!!!!

Absolute sh## hole. Environmental health need to pay a visit. 30 mins after leaving, myself and friend where doubled over with stomach pain, then had to run to the toilet. We both ate the same thing. Food in chiller looked as hard as rocks, and old. Cheap ingredients for the price u pay. Will certainly not be back. Place is very dirty, condiments had hair sticking out top of brown sauce. Table cover was dirty and tacky. Also our plates where chipped, and big ones at that. Great for harbouring bacteria. NEVER EVER WILL BE BACK.

Went in for a cuppa and cake/biscuit. Decided on a empire biscuit....when I bit into it I nearly broke my teeth rock hard. It must have been lying in the cabinet for weeks. When I mentioned this to staff they said that s how the biscuits are ? So I ended up leaving it as just couldn't eat it.

Friendly, straightforward cafe with traditional Scottish cakes and good coffee. A place with regulars. Nice touches - a basket of free paperbacks outside.

Popped in for quick warming lunch. Homemade soup with an unusual touch (think fennel seeds?) and a toastie between us. Also hot chocolate. Busy little place so took a little while to receive our order but there are only a couple of staff so understandable. The nice lady had put our halves of toastie on the plates with the soup. Only downside is we were not given the standard rolls or bread with the soup but perhaps because we had had the toastie. Hot chocolate was nice.

Ordered a panini with two fillings, I had to then ask for more filling to be added as when I opened the panini there was basically nothing in it. I don’t think the lady was to amused with me asking as her attitude to this was not kind and friendly, not great customer service and no apology. Unfortunately I won’t be returning due to bad customer service

I went here to order two take away coffees, i man came from the back off cafe and just stared at us saying nothing, i asked politely for two coffees to take away. He said nothing but went to make themthen a women appeared from the back and charged me £6.80!! After another wait off ten mins the man banged two coffes on the counter without saying a word! Wont be back, it looks dirty and the staff are so rude, Would have beeb cheaper in Marks fir coffee.

Terrible in every way… Ordered a couple of toasties and had to wait an hour. Quality of the food was truly shocking and cost over £25!!! I repeat over £25… Coffee was like mud. Do not visit

Doing the art trail and stumbled across this wee friendly café. We had been down on the busy promenade in the morning and queued for average food and fought to get a seat. We had great coffee and cheese and onion toasties with a view of the world passing infront of us on the High Street. Friendly service from the Brazilian owner and directed us to the art place in the back garden. We enjoyed the food and £13 for coffee and two toasties is a decent price. We will be back. Also very clean and friendly

Really enjoyed my breakfast, good value and happy with the service. Better ventilation needed in the kitchen as the smell of old fat kind of hits you as you walk in, but the outdoor seating is fine. Accepts cash only.

Visit to popeyes cafe. Well where do i begin Went in for coffee and a lite bite to eat Starters the lady in charge/owner was very abrupt with another customer. Table covered in a plastic table cloth which was sticky Ordered tea coffee etc One looking round the place was very grubby Finger marks all over the glass fronted cabinet which housed some dodgy looking lettuce etc Warm cabinet where bacon etc lived was filthy.all glass jars on display, with cookies etc where all marked and unclean She was rude to the person who served us in front of all other customers Awful mugs and plates all odd . Dry biscuits the hot drinks we had were awful milk tasted off The whole place needs a dam good srub . So all in all will not be back And wouldn't recommend it

"Treated" ourselves to a well earned end of the week lunch out.. wish we hadn't bothered I'm sorry to say. Staff were friendly but the cleanliness of the place in general was dubious and the glassware was actually stomach churning (especially given these covid times). Food was poor for the price.

Delicious haggis roll and delicious sausage roll. Social distancing we’ll organised. Friendly staff.

Overpriced , for what you receive poor product, bland no atmosphere, you can alway watch out the window (the staff out for a fag)

Visité el café Popeyes unos días antes de Navidad, realmente me puso en ese espíritu navideño. Las acogedoras luces y decoraciones realmente trajeron un ambiente hogareño al lugar. Pedí una sopa de lentejas y la joven que me sirvió fue tan encantadora y amable. La sopa era maravillosa y perfecta para una fría tarde de invierno. El precio era razonable para mí y mis amigos y lo disfrutamos mucho.

Dios mío, me atrajo el hambre y las luces pegajosas porque se sentía acogedor y pedimos de inmediato. Pero una vez que me senté y comencé a mirar los alrededores, vi los detalles sucios. Los condimentos estaban llenos de tierra, asqueroso, sales, pimientos y salsas. La comida estaba "bien" pero había pequeños pelos en mi sandwich y la sopa era sosa y 2. 90 un tazón! Lo preparé con sal y pimienta solo para darle un poco de sabor. La comida es cara para lo que obtienes. ¡Por lo que teníamos, esperaría pagar alrededor de 8, no 13!Este café está muy, muy sucio, necesita una buena renovación y un buen exfoliante, no le hará ningún daño. Me daría miedo inspeccionar la cocina y las áreas de trabajo si esa fuera el área pública.Hay muchos peligros eléctricos en este lugar, así que estaría atento a dónde te sientas.¡Pobre espectáculo de papa! Pero la joven que nos atendió fue encantadora.

Cafe was empty when I went in for a morning coffee and bacon roll. Rather cluttered inside with an assortment of chairs and different wax tablecloths. Lots of things on the wall and a huge price list with stickers repricing each item.A stand half full of postcards and a basket selling cheap poncho raincoats.A bit of TLC and remove some of the unnecessary clutter could make this so much better as the coffee and bacon roll were good and prices were average.

Caminando en el pueblo de Portobello nos detuvimos para tomar un capuchino y dulces. Está en la calle principal, en el centro del pueblo. Era una hermosa tarde de sábado soleado y nos sentamos afuera de este café. El camarero es muy amable y simpático. Los dulces con chocolate y lubina están bien, pedí un capuchino de leche de soja pero no tienen leche de soja, nos sirvieron afuera, sin servilletas. El capuchino está bien.

Called in for lunch. Lovely lentil soup and tasty toasties. Cafe was very clean and staff very pleasant ... with a sense of humour! Despite flying an Edinburgh Rugby flag they served two Glasgow Warriors fans! Would recommend it for lunch.

Otro Yuk de nosotros. Timo total. Huevo, chip y un rollo con una taza de té 15. 20 p. Cuando preguntamos el precio, no pudo calcular el precio de los chips y un huevo. Queridos chips y huevo que hemos tenido. Gerente extremadamente grosero cuando nos quejamos.

Mis visitas aquí son siempre agradables, el servicio al cliente es increíble.

I actually stumbled into this place as the butcher next door was yet to open & i needed some Haggis to carry back.

By the time we arrived, after 4.00, all Portobello cafes were closed ex this. Despite there being a coffee machine on display the 'cappucino' had never seen a coffee bean, grey, tasteless, horrible. Scone definitely old. Bill for two grey waters and one old scone £7.50. And the whole place reeked of old frying. Never again.

Visitamos a media mañana un sábado. No demasiado ocupado. El joven tomó nuestro pedido rápidamente y nos sentamos en la ventana, lo que es genial para la gente, ¡mirándolo! La ventana está bastante llena de elementos como imágenes en mosaico para la venta, por lo que está un poco desordenada. Rollo de tocino estaba perfectamente hecho, agradable y crujiente y abundante té para acompañar. Básico pero muy bien hecho.

Pasé 2 semanas en portobello con el trabajo. Sólo puedo decir que mi mayor lamento no fue encontrar este lugar antes.

Fuimos allí para un desayuno tardío. . Plato enorme, sinceramente de deliciosa comida :) recién hechos, de alta calidad y se sirve en platos diferentes, como si estuvieran visitando su tía, me encantó. Ambiente agradable, gente encantadora que lleva el sitio, fantástica decoración del lugar, todas las paredes están cubiertas con obras de arte. Debería comprar un souvenir U, para recordar cómo cálido y agradable u trataron aquí. . Nosotros compramos un imán frigde que recuerda cada vez que nos r en la cocina cómo es un lugar que es:) El café, bien fuera de este mundo. Parada u el reloj cuando u r, nada más importa. Me arrepiento de no coger ningún fotos. . Pero, créeme, la comida era tan buena que no podía esperar para comer :) Grandes abrazos para Esra.y su equipo para crear un pedazo de cielo abajo en la tierra. Sin duda volveremos a por más :).

Después de buscar en Portobello y ser rechazado en muchos establecimientos que estaban demasiado ocupados, nos alegramos de encontrar una gran mesa wee fuera en popeyes. Disfrutamos de nuestra vegetal desayunos todo el día. Nos ordenan inmediatamente. Nada de lujos, pero justo lo que necesitaba. El personal era muy agradable y la comida hizo su trabajo. Volveremos seguro.

Esto es exactamente lo que necesitaba en una resaca! El delicioso desayuno se sirve durante todo el día. Es una experiencia sin grandes lujos pero completamente la pena, era un hermoso día y nos sentamos. El servicio no toma un tiempo, pero para ser sincero, estaba recién preparado. Recomiendo ir aquí!

cheap £1 processed meat as 'beef' and 60p part baked baguettes then charged £3.50 for the privilege, have a word....woman is a nutter

Two slices of ill out of date looking bacon, a shrunk tattie scone, a morning roll, and hot chocolate. £6. Total rip off. The place looks and is disgusting, the owner was arrogant and very unfriendly.

We visited this cafe on a day trip last week and we really liked it. It's your basic old fashioned greasy spoon. There's no airs and graces and that's what I like.

Only been in there a few times. But those few times Ive been welcomed. Im not a massive coffee drinker but I cant seem to stop getting coffee from there. Its absolutley amazing! A simple thing like a bacon roll its gorgeous. Staff are so friendly. I even bumped into someone I hvant seen since Primary school(almost 20 years).I work just along the road and will be going in here more often thats for sure.

The food taste awful dry and uncooked, it was cheap in price so I wasn't expecting much better but I was disappointed with the woman who owned the cafe she was really rude to busy flirting with the builders that she couldn't concentrate and cooking food or serving customers, She shouted shut up to my four year old for singing quietly to herself and she was terrified and upset. We wont be going back and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone

We went to popeyes cafe today. When we asked him if cafe is open he looked confused.. and after a few seconds of thinking he said 'yes,we are'. My boyfriend took baguette with roast chicken and salad. Man who was preparing it didn't even bother to wash his hands and he didn't wear gloves. His nails were dirty and he didnt know what's the price of baguette. It was terrible experience. I don't recommend!

On my first visit I was firstly appalled by the rude off putting signs, secondly by the young females attitude "you think or are you sure" ,no response when I thanked her and when questioned about the lack of side order was full of attitude and in other words said they had run out which wasn't noted to us when ordering and offered no discount or apology .... A next customer wanted served 15 mins before closing for a hot drink and apposed to serving the elderly man proceeded to argue with him untill close that they were almost closed and refused to serve him ....I was gobsmacked and it was unpleasant to listen to and witness ....food was ok but I will be telling every man and his dog about this "experience"
