Poolside tandoori in Shropshire

For anyone new to Asian cooking, or maybe a regular; this is a must. I found that for a friend who was new to these premises, the staff were only too ready to advise on what to start with. The menu is quite wide ranging with various strengths to most dishes. The popularity of these premises can be gauged by the fact that on my last visit it was virtually full at 8pm. They cater for families as well as couples and small groups.

Very good Indian restaurant, with delicious, freshly prepared food, with both specials and traditional favourites, moderately priced. Staff are welcoming, friendly and attentive. I have visited twice with my children, who have also enjoyed their experience here. Nothing is too much trouble, nice atmosphere.

good friendly service and nice atmosphere on arrival.I had nan pockets for starter which were bland and did not have enough seasoning and spice.For mains I had the tandoori mix which was tasteless ,dry and overcooked.I asked for a madras sauce with it but got a veg sauce,which was changed quickly.The meats were very pale and had no spice or flavour just something spread on top which was poor.The wife had chicken biryani which when it came was enough for 3 people.She said it was colourless,unseasoned and boring.No draught beers available so had a 600m/l bottle of bangra indian beer which was brilliant,it should be at £4-45 per bottle.Overall a average event.Will try once more to give them the benefit of doubt.

We are new to the village of Madeley, there are a few restaurants and takeaways, however we are fans of asian food and Evening Spices hits the spot. It has recently re-opened following a change of management, and tbh we have enjoyed a takeaway recently but decided we needed to have the restaurant meal. And we were not disappointed, excellent food, attentive staff, and a superb ambiance makes this a fantastic place to enjoy good quality food.

We visit here regularly. Our favourite starter is the mixed platter, delicious. Great choice of meals on the menu, nice wines. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend the restaurant

This restaurant has recently changed its name and appears to be under new management. The menu is more extensive and the choice of "classic" Indian dishes has been simplified - but there is wide range of Chef's special dishes. The prices are quite moderate as is the case for the good range of wines and other drinks. The only criticism is that there is a limited selection of authentic Indian desserts supplemented by the all too common glossy illustrated list of commercial desserts.

Superb indian cuisine in a relaxed environment is what to expect from a visit to this restaurant. The staff are accommodating and will go out of their way to ensure you get the meal you want and the service you expect.

We visited them last weekend and felt the dining experience was in general good. The food was better than the other local Indian restaurant we have been trying for the last year. We shall be back next time we visit friends here.

For thirteen years we have been coming to this restaurant to celebrate our Rotary Club International Evening, under the original owner (NAZ) and more recently the present owner. As always the staff have given excellent service, and the food has been to it's usual high standard. Its not very easy to cater for between 40 and 60 people even if it is a buffet meal, but everything was spot on once again. So a big thank you to all the staff at poolside tandoori for their continued support and participation in our charity fund raising.

The whole family enjoyed their meal, from a boy of 10 to Grand Father. A great night out, good food and a very pleasant environment.

Indian located in the old Bridge pub next to a scenic villiage pool in the historic villiage of Madeley which was named in the Doomsday book. From the outside it looks tiny but is quite large inisde & is served by a convenient free carpark opposite. Service was good & the food was good. The wrong nann was delivered to us but when raised they replaced it quickly & let us keep the wrong one !

Lovely staff , service is always good and the restaurant has a really good atmosphere, the food is exceptional my favourite dish is the poolside special curry which is served delicately in its dish , always a great place for a meal out :)

I have again returned to this restaurant and it never fails to have amazing standards. Each dish is cooked to just how you like and any problems the staff are there on hand to sort you out straight away! The food is delicious with a separate bar area in which you can relax and have a drink before you enter the restaurant. this restaurant is by far the best in a far radius a d never fails to come up to such good standards. The whole atmosphere is made for you to feel the Indian experience with paintings on the wall and nice wallpaper so make you feel warm and made the whole Indian restaraunt feel fantastic. I will always continue to return having amazing experiences and will recommend for anyone including big events or even a nice meal out!

I have been a regular customer at this Indian for years, through all it's previous owners. I can honesty say the food is at an all time high and I am never disappointed. We visited last night in a large group, the staff were welcoming but not overbearing as some restaurants can be. We were invited to sit in the bar while we waited for other members of the party to arrive. The waiters allowed us to sit there and ensured everyone had a drink. We were then invited through to the table when all the people had arrived. The food was fantastic and one problem we have had in the past with previous management was the food arriving cold as we were a large group. The food was warm and obviously very freshly made. The price of the evening was extremely reasonable! We will definitely be back!!! Thank you Ansar and all your staff for a fantastic evening!!!

Delicious indian food served by friendly staff who were most welcoming. The restaraunt is very pleasing, well decorated with a seperate bar area. The location is in a small village adjacent to a large pool. Highly recommended. Well priced too.

Probably one of the best Indian restaurants in the area. Excellent service and food. Didn't wait long for service and food served hot and presented well. Nice village location. All in all a brilliant evening out.

The restaurant is in a fantastic setting and inside is even better because the food and service are excellent . One of the best Indian restaurants around in the Cheshire countryside .A must visit .Thanks again we had a fantastic meal.

Poolside tandoori I would state is one of the best Indians within the Cheshire location, the food is cooked to a high standard and if there is any problems the staff will try their best to make sure your evening is perfect, the building itself is modern and you can tell that they take a lot of care into how they present each table. as soon as you walk through the door the welcome is warming which lightens up your evening instantly, no doubt high standard and will most defendantly be returning.

Great restaurant- gorgeous food and the staff are excellent! I recommend the Chicken Tikka dish, and know that my family had Korma, Dupiaza and Jalfrezi and all equally could find no fault in the food. And as for the surroundings.. the restaurant is set in a beautiful little village right by the poolside (as hinted by the name!) and is a real little gem. Will definitely be coming here again!Thanks 5*

Poolside Tandoori is always full of friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere, I go there on a regular occasion and never have any fault. the food is often quick and the staff are always wanting feedback on how things are going. would recommend to anyone, easy 5+ stars!

This is a lovely little place, the food is excellent. We live locally and visit regularly. The Chicken Pakora starter is very tasty, along with the Massala curry. We also like the Chicken or Lamb Pathia. Service is great every time and we will continue to return as the food here is just so tasty and delicious!!
