I have been ordering fish and chips almost weekly from this place for over a year even before the owner was changed. Fishes made by that male worker were NEVER CRISPY. This shop is walking distance from my house so I never complained, I pretty much eat anything when I am hungry. Until today I ordered 2 fishes, 1 portion of rice, 1 portion of chips, 1 portion of curry. The guy commented right in front of me that I am 'hard to please' after I requested to pack everything separately and then made a comment about how small the portion of rice he gave me (a SMALL cup of rice to go with cod!!). I have never had issues with the female workers, only had issues with this guy. He seems to always find excuses, go try challenge him yourself on the smallest thing, you will understand what I mean. He also recommended me a curry which he believed to be spicy but it was not spicy but sweet! C'mon now at least learn about the things you sell!!! Probably no one will care about this comment but I wont be returning to this shop until the actual owner has looked into this matter.

Had to wait to be served while the new owner had a social interaction with a customer . large portion of chips was miniscule as was the pot of curry . avoid this place ..

First visit as new to area. Excellent fish, cooked on order, and chips freshly done highly rated. Very friendly staff who took time to talk. I'm impressed

Realmente no puedo quejarme de este lugar. Toda la comida es buena. Si quieres pescar prepárate para esperar ya que es fresco. El personal es amable y sé que clientes habituales.

This is my favourite chip shop in Newport , lovely staff and fab food . Tried everything and haven't had a bad meal . Absolutely lovely

Love the food here. Taste nice and the staff are lovely and friendly. Should get on just eat with delivery service! Just for us lazy ones

Been to this establishment many times now the food is absolutely beautiful, nice portion size and temperature spot on, I’m most impressed with the service by Lewis I feel he goes above and beyond for customers and he has 100% customer service. Honestly what a credit to your company he is, I do hope he gets recognition for this as truly he is OUTSTANDING many thanks

Very odd taste, fish smelt really strong and the batter was wet and soggy, really really thick, over cooked on outside and uncooked inside. Didn't eat barely any of the fish due to the strong smell. Chips were fine

22 Malpas Road, Newport NP20 5PAOrdered chips for the whole family and I received a spoiled savaloy. The rest of the food was lovely but I'm thankful I bit the savaloy and not my children who are both under 2! It smelt bad, tasted horrific. The colour wasn't pinky/red. Instead browny/green. Thank god I realised before I swallowed and spat it out. Certainly won't get food from here again regardless of the rest of the food being okaii.
