Food was really bad, disgrace for real Italian food. Staff was nice, place looks good, food definitely isn’t.

Cute corner in SOHO with perfect portions, generous flavors, and loads of warmth.

We were in London and arranged to meet a granddaughter for lunch. Arrived early but was shown to our table straight away. Monday lunchtime is quiet. Service was attentive without being over the top with a suggestion of a pre lunch drink that has become a favourite. Next time we are up we will certainly visit again.

Went to celebrate a friends birthday with some cocktails. We started with a tequila shot which was served with salt and lime and ordered some cocktails. Mine (limoncello spritz) was delicious but my friend ended up sending theirs back. The bartender was lovely and very apologetic about the cocktail. We also had a affogato-style sorbet which was amazing (highly recommend although the scoop size is small). The atmosphere was very relaxed and as we were leaving the bartender gave us a shot on the house!!

They have the best tiramisu I've ever had - and, I've been to Italy twice. The food was amazing, service was prompt and friendly, and the ambience is cozy, rustic. We will definitely come again :)

The best octopus main I ate in London and likely ever. Brilliant combination of ingredients and perfect size for a dinner! On top of that, multitude of great starters (meat, seafood, veg), wines and cocktails to pick from and a super attentive and friendly staff! Will be back soon.

Danny, John, and Ramir were all incredibly attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcome. It’s not often you find a team that strikes the perfect balance between professional and personable, but they managed it effortlessly. The drinks were a definite highlight—each cocktail was crafted with care and had great depth of flavor. You can tell the bartenders take pride in their work. We tried a couple of different options, and every one was spot on—refreshing, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. The space itself is cozy and stylish, with just the right kind of buzz for a night out in Soho. Whether you’re there for a drink, a quick bite, or a full meal, it’s got a relaxed charm that makes you want to linger. Overall, Polpo is a gem. Amazing drinks, a charming setting, and truly standout staff like Danny, John, and Ramir. Highly recommended—I’ll definitely be returning soon.

Very delicious pizzas and very good service.

Although we were a little late, Ramir gave us a very warm welcome. Food came quickly and tasted as good as it looked. Ramir & Eze were attentive at all times without being overpowering. Atmosphere was buzzy, it was a Friday evening, which added to the overall dining experience. Always enjoy Polpo, it’s one of our favourites, and will be returning soon.

Everything was amazing here. The food the service, simply everything! Ramir and Ezi were very friendly and helpful. This place has THE BEST nutella pizza, you cannot leave without eating one. (The drinks, starters and main were also amazing, but I'm still dreaming about the Nutella Pizza) If we're visiting London again we will most definitely come back to this place!

The price is a disgrace. £18 for around 50g of pasta is very expensive even for London.

Good tasty food. Terrible value for money. I’d bet for the cost of a meal here you can fly to Italy, eat and fly home.

The food was alright and so was the location. Personally, however, I felt like the food is overpriced for what it is, both in terms of quality and especially quantity. But then again, almost every place with a small plate concept feels overpriced. While the sharing idea is nice, it seems as though restaurants are using it to charge more for less.

Delicious food, the pasta was to die for!!! Amazing ambience, fantastic service and food and wine are so good I need to go again. Gem of a find! Don’t have the pasta photo which I thought was the better - speghetti cacio and pepe but regardless, everything was to die for.

Best meatballs and chicken liver pate I have ever had in my life, the wine is outstanding and I truly believe that if they are good.. the whole menu would be unbelievable

Super quick service, food was there as soon as you ordered, but you could tell it was freshly prepared and cooked. Highly recommend the buratta, One of the best I've had!

John and Danny made our day - we sat by the window and watched the world go by whilst they ensured we had the best time. Cannot recommend enough!

Tonchi provided an excellent service! He was extremely welcoming and attentive. We were there to celebrate my mother’s birthday and he made her feel very special. We will definitely be back! I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was phenomenal!

I liked the atmosphere, the food was tasty, but let down by the tiny portions and poor service. Waited ages to order and then then starter arrived before the drinks. I was genuinely shocked at the size of the portions.

I found the food portions a bit insulting. For a restaurant called Polpo (octopus), the main course octopus was thinner than a finger, and this is the most octopussy of a plate you can get. I understand “sharing platters” but for the prices and given the name, I expected a bit more. The food was also lacking in salt & pepper, which we’ve had to add to almost every dish. At the end, after amassing about £100 on the bill from 2 main sharing plates, 1 starter plate, 1 pizzette and two side plates, my friend and I (who do not require any unusual levels of food to be satiated) were still relatively hungry. On the upside, the service was wonderful and the girls working here are really friendly and serviceable. The atmosphere is great.

The atmosphere and the service of Polpo is lovely. They are a busy restaurant and it still feels homey. The presentation of the food online is beautiful, which initially drew us in, but unfortunately, the actual experience didn’t quite live up to expectations. While the dishes looked appealing, several lacked depth of flavor, and a few items were difficult to enjoy. Given the pricing, we had hoped for a more memorable culinary experience.

The food was amazing, so fresh and tasty! really authentic and so well presented. The staff were really friendly and helpful, our ONLY problem was the noise from a big table, otherwise decor is beautiful. Best arancinia ever!!

Fantastic experience at Polpo Soho! I was originally queuing up for Dishoom Carnaby nearby but gave up since the wait was too long. Made a last minute booking for Polpo Soho at 9:15pm on a Saturday. We arrived and got seated quickly! Ordered Arancina, meatballs, Beef shin rigatoni, seafood fregola and mixed leaves salad. Food arrived so efficiently despite this was a busy Saturday evening. Seafood fregola was really really good!! I highly recommend it. I’m impressed by how well the restaurant is managed. From being seated, taking orders to being served and paying, the team was extremely efficient - everyone knows what they’re doing and are very friendly. The table next to us had a small incident. The waitress accidentally spilled some sauce to the customer’s jeans when clearing plates. The team handled it really well - apologised for so many times, offering napkins and wipes, and even clothes detergent. Accidents always happen but not every restaurant could tackle it so well. Very strong problem-solving skills! I was here two years ago and loved the vongole pasta - hope to see it again on the menu!!

We liked the Bavatta very much, it was very delicious. The meat pasta was also good. The octopus carpaccio was also successful. I think the portions were a bit small, we ordered two each, and we ordered 3 different starters per person.

I came with one of my Italian students. We shared two cicchetti (smaller dishes) and had a "medium" dish each. Spent around £60. It's a welcoming environment and the food is delicious. We will definitely be back!

First time in London we came back three times it was really good and the two waiters Danny and Santom are super nice !!! They made us feel really special !

Great authentic Venetian food, loved de sarde in saor, the polenta with baccalà cream, the focaccia, the tiramisù and also the cake with orange and campari, and the crostino with gorgonzola and the one with liver. I think the stuffed olives needs improvements - felt a little too 'vinegardish' for my taste. We spent about 60 each, with a veeery rich menu (we could not finish our desserts by the end of it), including dessert and wine. If one wanted to be more moderate in there expense they could easily spend 35/40. Great service. All the staff was very kind and attentive. Good atmosphere. I think that investing a little bit more in the design of the place would make it great. For example, the bar area near the kitchen is very barebone - no decoration at all.

I’ve been going to Polpo for years and it never lets me down. Again this evening I sat at the bar and had great food and friendly service from Danny and manager Carolina. Crostino with gorgonzola, salame and fig & crostino with cavalo nero followed by octopus carpaccio. Delicious.

Had an exceptional evening at Polpo Soho. It had everything you could want for in terms of a great restaurant. The staff was friendly and attentive. The cocktails were strong and tasted great. The food was absolutely divine. Some of our highlights included the “crab and squid ink” arancina. Then the buratta with lentils which was also phenomenal. The best dishes by far though were the bavette steak and the octopus tentacle. I would highly recommend a visit here.

I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough!!! I had been looking for a table for my birthday and Ewan made it so easy for me to book in! Our server, whose name I can’t remember but he was brunette and absolutely lovely, was absolutely amazing! It was a table of 12 of us for my birthday and he made sure each person always had a drink in hand, made sure we all got food in a timely manner and had a great time! And he came out with a birthday Tiramisu!!! Loved it. Also the food is absolutely delicious, each plate was stunning and the staff truly take the time to make sure everyone is looked after! Thank you so so so much!! I will most definitely be returning!!

Excellent restaurant with a great atmosphere. The food is top notch, especially the steak!

Ramir made me an amaretto sour with a heart shaped orange garnish, but refused to give me his phone number unless I come and try out his margarita next time 🥲. Will definitely be back soon to get it and try the margarita too.
