Polgoon was a real highlight of our trip! The new spring menu is fantastic—fresh, seasonal, and full of flavour. We tried one of the new pizzas, and it was absolutely delicious, made with high-quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. The cider selection was just as impressive—refreshing, crisp, and beautifully crafted. The vineyard setting is stunning and peaceful, and the staff were so warm and welcoming. A perfect spot for a relaxed lunch or afternoon treat. Highly recommended if you’re near Penzance!

The restaurant at Polgoon is fab! Amazing wine and authentic stonebaked pizzas. We ate outside under the vines - lovely setting. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We visited as a family of four, two adults and two teens (aged 16 and 13).

We went for a friend’s Birthday and had the bottomless lunch . It was faultless, pizzas were amazing, drinks which were all Polgoon ciders & wines were excellent & flowed freely. The restaurant was busy but Millie looks after us all brilliantly. Totally recommend.

Polgoon takes the vineyard experience to a whole new level with their incredible Vinehouse Kitchen! Nestled below the grapevines, the setting is absolutely idyllic. The inside seating is stunning and spacious too. The pizzas themselves are truly something special. The food was so fresh and flavourful. We couldn’t fault, even if we tried! Overall, our experience at the Vinehouse Kitchen was pure perfection. The combination of stunning scenery, delicious pizzas, and fantastic wines created a truly memorable afternoon. This is a hidden gem that all pizza and wine lovers should add to their bucket list!

The outdoor seating/setup here is great especially on a nice hot summers day! They do however have heaters if it is a little chilly! Dogs are very welcome! We have visited here several times now and keep coming back due to the good food(pizza)and drink(both alcoholic and non alcoholic!) produced here on site! Staff also very friendly and helpful! The kitchen/food area is a bit hidden from the main road, but I’m sure if more people knew this was here it would be a lot busier! Well worth a visit if in the area!

Terrific pizzas with a welcoming vibe. Will definitely come again given that it's located on one of my dog walking routes. Great and friendly service from waitress Millie.

Fabulous menu in this pop up style diner. Less is more. Great service from super friendly staff. Really enjoyed supporting this local venture and a wander around the vines afterwards really set the evening off! Thoroughly recommend.

Have been visiting Cornwall for over 20 years. My dear wife now has mobility issues. We decided to visit Polgoon as we are very keen on good wine. Sadly the car park is just very rough gravel with a slope leading to the shop and eatery. VERY difficult to push a mobility aid over loose dusty gravel. No easy access over the shop front either. Lovely laid out shop but the wines were expensive. In the car park there no disabled spaces and delivery vehicles blocked visitors cars. Sorry won't be back.

Absolutely fantastic family lunch at this exceptional spot, so good in fact we've booked again for tomorrow! There were so many of us we managed to try every item on the menu and each dish was delivered amazingly. The service was attentive but not intrusive and the setting is so beautiful!

Had a tour and lunch. The tours are self conducted so not really a tour more a walk around the vineyard with a fact sheet so pick a nice day. Tour ends in a flight of three wines and an explanation of their provenance and taste notes, views of the wines were mixed, they were not to my liking but my wife liked them enough to buy a mixed half case, which only goes to show that everyone’s taste is different. Reasonably priced light lunch was pleasant. So pick a dry day and is worth a look

Visited today and whilst the staff were great, £20 a couple is a bit much for an unguided walk around a couple of fields and an inch of three wines to taste . Did expect to see something about the processing or bottling at least . I did buy a vine which they are selling for £12.50 which is reasonable . We didn’t eat here, but it did look good.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Queen’s Head in St Stephen, Cornwall, and I can’t say enough about how wonderful the experience was. The roast dinner was an absolute standout—perfectly cooked meat, tender and flavorful, paired with golden, crispy roast potatoes that were some of the best I’ve ever had. The homemade Yorkshire puddings were a delight, light and fluffy, and the generous helping of rich gravy tied it all together beautifully. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into the food here, making it a proper Sunday treat. The atmosphere in the pub is just as impressive. It’s a charming, cozy spot with a warm, welcoming vibe—think crackling woodburners, friendly chatter from locals, and that quintessential Cornish village charm. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at home, whether you’re a regular or just passing through. The beer garden and play area out back are lovely touches too, perfect for a sunny day. The staff truly elevate the whole experience. They’re incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely seem to enjoy what they do. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with smiles and made to feel like valued guests. Service was spot-on—quick without feeling rushed—and they were happy to chat and offer recommendations. All in all, The Queen’s Head is a gem. The roast dinner alone is worth the visit, but the fantastic atmosphere and lovely staff make it a place I’ll be eager to return to. Highly recommend!

The most outstanding fish restaurant I have been too in a long time! So fresh and delicious. Wonderful and kind staff. The monk fish and the tacos are just incredible as was the wine of the month from scilly. A perfect match
