Polat's Place in South Somerset

I have been here multiple times but the past 2 times I have eaten from here it has been really greasy I get it’s a kebab but this is just stupid amount of grease

Very friendly staff, fast service. The small cod and chips is a very good size meal, the cod was perfectly cooked with crispy batter. Plenty of excellent chips, not greasy. Highly recommend.

Always been a real plus to have really generous portions. Nice taste and good service. But noticeable cut backs in my order tonight. Large Doner much much much smaller than usual sadly. Would always drive and collect as so good but may as well go back to the others now as no different.

Tried Polat's Place for the first time last night after a recommendation. Cod and chips cooked to perfection, won't go anywhere else in Yeovil now. We'll done guys. 10/10.

Great local chippy, be prepared for a little wait at busier times but well worth it. Very generous portions and nice and freshly cooked.

Always use Polats, for fish and chips or Kebabs Well cooked and plenty of it. Just don't expect to be able to eat the special kebab on your own as it's huge.

Chips was good , staff friendly but when I order two large jumbo sausages I expect to get two large sausages , and I expect staff to ASK if a customer doesn't mind 1 large and 2 small ones .

Great tasty food at a good price. Plus..it was the only place in town to get some traditional fish and chips on friday at an hour where every other fish place in town was shut ! Biggest Cod I've ever had too. Highly recommend!

Great tasting. However a little lacking in the execution.. fish falls apart sod all batter on it.. Can't pick it up at all. And the boxes they use to serve the fish turn to mush within 5mins of containing the food.

Polats place, is the best kebab house in Yeovil, always my first choice. Tonight I made a mistake and ordered from Munchies and was so dissapointed by the food, how rude the staff were and the price. I decided as well as leave a bad review for munchies I would share some love for my normal goto, Polats Place. Thank you guys for the great service, huge portions and friendly staff. People of Yeovil, Dont waste time or money looking anywhere else, just order from polats place. You wont regret it. I promise

Best kebab shop in yeovil. Food is aways good and the portions are huge for the price. Staff are always friendly and helpfull. Would recommend this as a must on a Saturday night off of cooking. Polats is the only kebab shop we will use now as a family be it kebab, chicken and chips oor midweek fish and chips

The last three times the chips have been hard and not properly cooked. We've taken them back, the replacements weren't cooked and it's sadly going down hill. Would have given less stars apart from this used to be a good place and hopefully will be again.

tried to order two meals. I explained four times what I wanted. The girl serving just could not get the order correct. And then she accused me of ordering something else, twice. Basically she was calling me a liar. Twice. I am never going there again.
