We ate in one of the pods they have outside. They have bluetooth music and heating control so we didn’t even feel the cold November air. The food is soooooo good; the tandoori king prawns and lamb chop starters were divine as well as the butter chicken. Really lovely staff; Maddy, Jacob, Samantha, Ektor and Hollie looked after us and were able to accommodate for my mums garlic intolerance with no issues. My vegetarian sister had chilli paneer for starter and daal makhani with chilli cheese naan for main. She loved it all and took the leftovers home haha. Thank you very much for a lovely birthday meal!

Went to celebrate A level results. Had clay oven for siblings wedding and the food then was amazing but the food at the pods by clay oven was extremely disappointing. Did not taste the same. Rice was undercooked, okra tasted undercooked and on the raw side. Would not recommend the food but the Pods in themselves were great!!

I was stopping over at the hotel for work and was blown away by the quality of the food of this restaurant. The lamb bhuna chops were superb and the service of the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Thanks to all 👍🏼

Reckless and completely unacceptable. For anyone with a dairy allergy beware! I pre-booked ‘pods by clay oven’ in Denham Grove and asked for an afternoon tea that is dairy free. This was also checked as we walked into the restaurant and as the food was served. My 5 year old was given real cream. This will genuinely hurt her and can’t believe a restaurant has such a lack of care and attention. if you are coeliac, IBS or any condition like this, you may wish to avoid completely - I wish I did.

I'm not one to write negative reviews but this place was appalling. Had booked in advance anticipation to impress the other half, however the experience was a total waste of time, money and energy. Drove all the way from Birmingham 2hrs a away. Greeted by the waitress with a look to say your not welcome. The pod itself was cold and heating was a electric fan only turned on when we arrived. The food was pricy for the quality. The curries looked like a few days old which just been microwaved. The waitress kept on waiting around to say hurry up. Overall experience was worst ever. Definitely not recommend and wouldn't go back if they sent me a limousine and offered a free meal.

Other reviews criticise the food but we thought it was delicious! We had tandoori broccoli (so good), samosas (yum) , chicken jalfrezi (spicy) and lamb kadai (delicious). Best Indian ive eaten in a long time. 5 star for food. Disappointed by the pods. Look lovely from the outside but once inside they just look you are sitting in like a caravan. No special touches. It wouldn't take much.....just a table cloth, maybe a centrepiece (another pod had flowers but we had nothing, although they looked fake so not great either), slightly dimmed lighting, maybe some fairy lights. Being able to play our own music was really cool. Although the remote to turn on the blue tooth speaker was held together with Sellotape which felt like another example of not paying attention to the detail.

The pods now offer food from The Clay Oven, who are well known for catering events. The food was great and the pod setting was something different and fun. We had a range of starters, mains and desserts, there wasn't one dish we didn't enjoy! The pod setting worked really well for our famly celebration, we fitted nine of us in there really comfortably. The pod had a bluetooth speaker to play your own music plus a heater that you can control. Service was great and all in all a great place to try.

Great experience using the Pods limited menu and overpriced but ok food. Alyesha really took care of us and gave that extra touch. I will come back for a drink due to the experience and the grounds.

Food really let it down Overpriced and poor quality. Staffing was good and attentive. Pods were very hot and it was only 19 degrees outside. No privacy in pods as all together. We had a pod right by the outdoor terrace and had people outside smoking and smoke could be smelt from the pod as window was open. Shame. Wouldn't visit again

I have to say this was really disappointing. The food was far too overpriced for what it was. The best thing.. I’m not sure anything. Thai green curry - one of the worst I’ve have 0/10 Salmon- for £20 the portion was terrible - mash unsalted and no taste at all. £16 veg noodles.. I mean I would have paid £5 for this. The bao buns were probably the best thing sold 6.5/10 And when letting staff know feedback the respond… others do not complain. It was laughable. I couldn’t believe it. Will not come back again. £200 wasted.

It was a cold evening however the pod heater was cold spoke to the waitress and the Manager then asked to move. The food was very overpriced, no christmas feel at all. The heater went off again so we went indoors where there was a very small heater. Ordered coffee which was also cold and had to sent it back..Asked for the bill the service charge was at discreation i asked for it to be removed as the overall experience was poor.. i was the approached by the waitress to ask why i didnt want to pay as her manager had asked. As this was a discreation i think this was in approapriate to be asked. Overall i would never recommend it or would go again

We had booked a pod at this hotel with a lot of expectations and sadly it was one of the worst experience. The only positive - staffs are so nice. Food was below average and even the price was outrageous. Four small chicken pcs, (for some reason they call it spicy, and definitely no kind of spices at all) costs £9. But just three prawns not bigger than a finger fried costs £15.5. What a waste. The choice of dishes were extremely bad and the only mains are rice or noodles. I am sure even a college fresher could make better noodles. Desserts were awesome with to mega options : one- cheese cake, which the waitress politely informed as not ready and may take half n hour due to some kitchen disaster. Second - chef choice of ice creams - Vanilla, strawberry & chocolate; even a small kid knows about more ice creams, I feel terrible when these are the chefs options. Such a disastrous experience.

We had a wonderful time in the pods, staff were great! Food was amazing so compliments to the chef. Alisha you were perfect when looking after us so thankyou so much! My favourite was the Bao buns and my partners were the baby ribs. Brilliant place for us to chill out for a couple of hours away from the children, will definitely come back!

Went for an early evening meal with family for my wife birthday and although dining in a Pod was different however it was the menu that interested us most. We ordered several starters and mains and the food was not served in any particular order, ideally starters should come out first. Some courses had items missing from the menu, we were not advised about these until we questioned the missing items, not forthcoming with shortages. I’d rather they offer an alternative up-front so you can decide whether you want the dish or not. We waited quite a while for the dessert and again it did not come with the sorbet again we had to question it. We were not charged for the desserts. The food and service was okay not somewhere I would be rushing back too, it’s a shame they have a very interesting menu but execution needs to be improved and it’s a bit pricey.

The food is terrible and overpriced. The restaurant doesn’t seem to know which cuisine are they serving. The place is dead and has no visitors even on a Saturday. I would not recommend anyone to visit this place for dinner.

My wife had previously had a girls night out with Ponzo last year and spoke highly of them, so I booked one of the pods for a family get together/birthday . We ordered a variety of dishes on their menu and... the service was simply outstanding - thanks Alisha(Not sure I've spelt your name correctly) and the food was amazing! In this Post-Pandemic season, It seems the new normal has made it acceptable for businesses to provide the bare minimum. It's therefore quite unusual and refreshingly surprising when a business goes the extra mile to ensure you have a pleasant experience. Keep it up Ponzu, will def be coming back!

A wonderful vegan afternoon tea in the pod. We had a great time celebrating early mother's day celebration. The sandwiches and cakes were so delicious and Sharoon the manager was so friendly and happy to serve us. My mum was so pleased and we had a great time. We will definitely come again. Thank you.☺️

Overall a nice place and pods are intimate. The food is decent I’d say 3/5 but the service is poor I’d say 2/5. Worth a visit but if limit your expectations.

Went here for my dad's 70th. This place is hidden away, so make sure you go to the restaurant and bar section and wait to be seated at the pods. The staff was very friendly and the food was fab. They even have heaters inside where you can adjust the temperature and Bluetooth system, so you can play your music. They have a buzzer, so you can prompt the staff to come for orders

The food was well spiced and staff were attentive. We had starters/tapas of: Pamosa with katsu sauce (paneer samosa) 10/10, Maki Rolls (salmon and chicken) 8/10, Thai Fish Cakes 9/10, and Vegan Bau Bun (chilli soy) 6/10. The latter needed a sauce as quite dry. Mains are quite large so you can order between 2! Jasmine rice is individual but egg fried rice served at least 2 or more, Veggie Singapore Noodles need a bit more flavour (we opted for sweet chilli on table), garlic brocolli was yum, Thai Red Curries were tried of chicken and veg + well flavoured and a smoked Duck salad too went well. 7 people, only 3 alcoholic drinks cost £43 p/h (Inc service charge). Brianna was lovely! 10/10

Just got back from a lovely evening at Ponzu. We all really enjoyed ourselves, most of the food was great, though there were a couple dishes that didn’t quite hit the mark. The staff were nice. We were looked after by a particularly lovely young man called Aaron. The pod was clean and there’s something quite unique about having a comfortable and private place to eat…we felt really relaxed. Nice to be able to play our own music too. Will definitely visit again.

I’ve been multiple times. I love the bolognese pizza. Me and mum went with family after our confirmation. I have had it twice once I realised that it was there and I loved it every time! Robert is really nice. I came in today out of the blue to ask a few questions for my assignment and he went above and beyond! I showed him the assignment and he asked for my email address and took the ball and rolled with it.
