Third time been here, usually when on business in Brum. Carvery very good, thought about pizza limited if you want Nothing grander. But what we had and value good.

Great location, ample parking, excellent food and great staff, nice friendly atmosphere, perfect for families

I went for a meal with my family the other day and the food was amazing, the best carvery I’ve had in a long time the service was brilliant, all the staff were so kind to us.

The plume should be proud of the well spoken polite red headed barmaid . I made enquiries and found her name to be Josephine. She's a honnor to your establishment

As usual a lovely breakfast, just wish they would have black pudding as an optional extra, otherwise, it arrive hot and was delicious

The food was lukewarm did not enjoy someone putting onions on my dinner also i said no yorkshire puds and i recieved 4 pkts of roast spuds and 8 yorkshire puds not asking for refund just saying what i thought of my order Regards M .Buckley

My first impressions - pub looks run down from the outside, with wooden window frames rotting at the bottom. Individual chairs in the restaurant, had broken vinyl on the seats. Food - Carvery. Sadly not the best, meats boiled & soggy, limited veg selection. These appear to be topped up, but not replaced, which is a bit worrying. Cauliflower cheese, overcooked and sloppy. Inedible. Sauces, limited or were empty. In fairness, a member of staff did refill the cranberry sauce, when asked. Roast potatoes good. I had not visited a Stonehouse pub in over 5 years. After today, I do now remember why.

Gave me the veg I wanted, crispy potatoes as I wanted too! Absolutely perfect, thanks to whoever packed it and getting it right, tasted amazing ❤️

Lovely food 😋😋 Good place to meet up with friends and family and have a massive carvery and wash it down with a few cheeky ones. Staff are always willing to help and assist... But the first rule not to do is be rude to the chief's.... Or members of staff..... Christmas breakfast and a dance off with the staff excellent vibes.......

We came to breakfast with Santa 14th December and we must say my kids absolutely loved it. The breakfast was delicious and the visit with Santa and Mrs Claus was amazing, they spoke with my kids and made the experience very enjoyable for them. Hopefully Santa and Mrs Claus will be back next year too

This place has gone down hill I haven't been here for years, when I used to go the carvery was amazing. Now virtually empty (on a Sunday dinner time) dirty stained seats paint peeling off walls, the option of a few vegetables that a clearly from frozen packet, and you couldn't cut the meat thinner with a laser. The roast potatoes were fantastic and service was OK but what a shame to see a a pub that was packed and had a great reputation to this. Sadly won't be going again

Delivery was prompt but the food was something to be desired, it just taste bland and watery. Oh and was cold. Would definitely not recommend

Never again, booked a table for 5.00pm sat and had a drink first then at 6.00pm went to order food and was told I could only have a carvery which is the last thing we wanted, so coats on went home unfed. £60 on taxis and a couple of beers.

Considering the place is mostly empty the bar staff/ manager should serve customers waiting at the bar rather than spend time in the glass cleaning room. This was once a busy pub. Needs staff and decor refurbished otherwise another one will close

I've visited and eaten at this pub in the past many times. It's a comfortable pub with good 🚗 parking options, a wide range of meals and drinks for very reasonable prices. It specialises in English-British food so a good idea for a roast meal or a carvery meal. I've escorted EFL (International and European) students there in the past and they've always enjoyed the carvery meal option. The menus are really useful to make meal planning easier especially for people who have, or need to consider, food allergies or food intolerances. The more recent (over the last 5 years) pre-payment service is also very helpful. Plus, the parking charge is discounted or eliminated for customers. It's also on a reliable and frequent 🚍 bus route very close to the post office

We were looking forward to a carvery. Ordered at the bar,went to join the queue only to find the chef having a meltdown, he was doing two take out dinners. He was throwing the dry looking food into the containers, putting roast potatoes into a brown bag dropped one down his uniform used tongues to pick it up from the worktop threw it into the bag.we noticed there were staff around but they never served us. He was very rude.the food in the dishes were dry not even replenishing them at all. We decided to walk away and ask for a refund, there was no problem with the refund. They apologised to us, saying she would go and have a word with him.

Regulars here. Consistently good food. Better now the mushrooms are on the deck. :) Carl the Chef is always attentive and checks in to make sure everything is ok; and it usually is.

Very respectful staff and lovely food, went down for a meal with mom and dad, tables were clean and the environment was overall fantastic. Couldn’t ask for a better place to go for a meal. Would highly recommend to others. Managers are very lovely and very welcoming especially the AM Dani.

I’m visiting from abroad and could only remember the name of one pub in the area. I walked and was greeted with a smile. The staff are all friendly, the Tuesday deal on pizza was a bargain. Happy to recommend the food

I'm not a pub person, but this one is really nice, comfortable and the food is good. First time I've noticed that one can order a 'small' plate for the carvery instead of a huge plate. Really good value for money.

Wasn't a Carvery on the day. Others in the group weren't impressed with the chips but fish was cooked well.

After it taking 45 mins of time going up and up for delivery because food was still being prepared, when the order came it was missing items! When your trying to feed your family its the last thing you need, the food that was delivered looked like it was thrown in the packaging and packed by toddlers... Truley disappointed with this delivery

Sadly last few weeks the quality of roast potatoes has changed. Todays (like last order) are so hard around edge they cannot be eaten. They have very little potato inside and dripping in a ‘cooking oil’. Used to be a regular order but after todays (as I buy extra roasties) I will more than likely not order again. Either produce /cooking method or a new chef has spoilt this for me.

The carvery here was good and they had good service. We were a large group and when they ran out of things they bought them over fresh once they were ready. We also had someone celiac and they were able to provide for that easily.

Nice Sunday carvery, lovely staff, tables and seats were not dirty but weren't very clean and the pub itself is not the cleanest.

We always enjoy the food and service but it looks inside like a refurbishment could be due soon.

Im a support worker and i bring my ladies here often they love it here and the friendly staff and can have a laugh..i just asked them for a score and they said 10/10

We ordered roast potatoes and they didn’t come and the mash was not potatoes it was swede. Not good

I booked this venue for my mothers Wake. Matt was very friendly & helpful. As the day got close I increased the numbers then on the actual morning I added more. This was no problem for them. Then a lot more people than I expected turned up but this was no problem for Matt, he just said that they would keep sending food as long as we wanted it & true to his word, delicious sandwiches, pizzas, roast potatoes & chips kept arriving. When I paid the bill, Matt only charged me for the final number that I had given, incredible customer service. Highly recommended

Very poor attitude I ordered 2 go large carveries My partner is in a wheelchair so we did hers first. Then i went, the chef gave me a tiny plate, I said go large mate. No its standard, said i would like a sausage, he said no. He then shaved the turkey, it could not have been cut any thinner you could see through it I know it has to be controlled but i paid £32 for two meals with lemonade
