At last experianced one of the special evenings and thoroughly enjoyed it. Good food, always excellent service. Sunday lunch coming up and rearing to go.

Party of 9 Stopped off here on the the drive home from Cardigan Bay had 3 dogs which were welcome. Nice little walk down to a river with stepping stones. All had sandwich meals which came quickly and were very nice. Staff were warm and helpful, only wish I hadn't been driving looks a really nice well stocked pub and sinking a few would have been fun - thanks, great place.

Dog friendly pub that serves a great Subday lunch. Dogs are allowed in the bar area. Reasonably priced, good selection, food was hot and staff friendly. Parking is available on site but it is limited.

Visited for lunch. Myself and my husband. Stopped at this venue due to the rating on trip advisor. Unfortunately this was not a pleasant experience at all. I ordered the roast turkey dinner and my partner ordered fish and chips. The roast dinner had not been seasoned at all. The turkey did not resemble anything I had ever carved from a roasted turkey more like turkey bought for sandwiches. The vegetables were awful and very bland, the yourkshire pudding g was overcooked. My partners fish was overcooked and dry, the peas and the tartar sauce was unseasoned so both meals were very disappointing and unfinished. The worst part of the visit was having to stop the flies settling on the food! After realising we were not winning this battle I stood to request a change of table at the bar but the barman was obviously aware of our dilemma and quickly approached to explain he did not know why the flies were present and moved us to a different table. Everything g taken into account we left but having g asked for the bill we were offered no good will gesture

Saturday 13th July…. Very nice evening here, food was very good and the service was relaxed and efficient. Served by a very nice young at the beginning who was genuinely keen to please and hopefully he will go a long way in hospitality should he choose to.

Food amazing and staff very efficient and helpful. Dog friendly and wild garlic soup perfect. Best roast turkey dinner best ever and cranberry sauce lovely, not sweet, but perfect for the turkey and roast potatoes 10 out of 10, could not get better. Price very good value.

We arrived at 6.15 and before even ordering drinks explained we were going to a concert at the Regal, a 10 minute walk away, at 7.30. They said this wasn't a problem, they had a party at 6.30 but would take our order at 6.45. At 6.45 they then told us it would be another 10 to 15 minutes. So no chance of getting a meal in before the theatre and no time left to go anywhere else. When asked why they didn't tell us this in the first place the barman just shrugged and said he had no control over the kitchen. So not a pre-theatre option and if you want polite barstaff give it a miss.

Everyone at Pembroke House were very friendly and extremely helpful. The food was delicious, generous , nicely presented and the service was excellent. I would happily recommend a visit and look forward to returning.

Popped in for lunch today (Friday) accompanied by our dog. Wow! What a find. Everything about this place was fabulous, A lovely cosy pub with friendly hospitable staff and absolutely fabulous food. This was our first visit but definitely will not be our last. Really cannot wait to visit again. Highly recommend - you will not be disappointed.

Went to Pembroke House for Sunday lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was absolutely delicious with the veg’ cooked to perfection and the dishes as a whole tasty and plentiful. The team there served our food with smiles and obviously care about their customers. Menu was varied and great choices for all three courses. We will definitely be returning as pubs like this deserve to be supported and with food this good it won’t be long before we return!

Friendly run pub. Food lovely usually go at lunch times and have a light snack. The bread is locally made and lovely and thick . Prices are reasonable and drinks are reasonably priced. Local brewed ales on pump, then you have lager ,cider , bottles ,spirits etc Family orientated and also has an area where you can take your dogs in. Game room over 16 years only Book if going in the evening and wkend's as gets full fast.

We ate in the 'Piggery', a lovely, quirky restaurant. Food was tasty with good sized portions. Looking forward to returning soon.

Popped in for lunch on a Monday. Great cosy pub, warm welcome from staff. We sat in the bar area because we had our dog with us. Sampled the great local beer which was very reasonably priced and also ordered food. The food was excellent, we ate a bacon and brie ciabatta with chips and the pie of the day which was chicken and leek, both were fantastic and with the best chips ever tasted. The toasted walnut and rum cheesecake with ice cream was fantastic too. Can't wait to go back and try more excellent food.

Sat in the lovely October sunshine and enjoyed a very good lunch. The service was great.Very efficient lady who served us. Even gave a doggy treat to our very impressed westie.

Four of us went there Saturday 23rd September,we all ordered different main courses which were all delicious. I had a seafood pancake which was absolutely superb. We all had puddings which were also very good. Couldn’t fault anything about the evening .Superb 👍

Firstly the waitress Sophia was so polite and had the perfect attitude and enthusiasm for front of house!! She has a lovely natural manner about her 10/10 Every meal which was ordered was exceptional and I would highly recommend this pub…definitely on my list for future days out 👍🏽

We called in without a booking and it was rather late in the evening but the staff were very accommodating. My partner had fish and chips and I had the seabass. The food was absolutely beautiful. Didnt have too long to wait for it to arrive either. We had cheesecake for afters which again tasted great. Would definitely recommend as the staff were kind and friendly. It is also a dog friendly pub as well.

Lovely old timber framed pub with a cosy, friendly atmosphere. Very nice individually cooked food, helpful and friendly staff and it's no surprise to find it's best to ring ahead and reserve a table as lunchtimes can be busy This was our first visit and we found a little gem.

We came here for Sunday lunch last week and again today to see if it was still as delicious, it most definitely was! The beef was served pink which my husband said was absolutely spot on, however if you prefer well done they will do this too, I had the minted roast lamb which was so succulent and delicious too! I hate it when the vegetables are piled on your plate which so many places seem to do now, so I was very pleased to see that the vegetables do come in a separate serving dish, all the vegetables were cooked to perfection. Not forgetting the wonderful staff who were all so friendly and efficient. We would most definitely recommend this place.

Only popped in for a quick drink. Barmaid extra friendly. Interior very nice and can imagine it would have a great atmosphere at night. My wife said that the toilets were the cleanest she had ever seen, and she knows what she’s talking about!👍

Gezellige oude pub met traditie maar er was geen sfeer. De pub is een heel oud huis met een lange geschiedenis en heeft dus de mogelijkheid om sfeer te creëren. De menukaart is kort en eenvoudig maar met voldoende keuze. Vriendelijke en vlotte bediening door twee jonge mensen.De schotels waren goed verzorgde en lekker. Zeker aan te bevelen de huisgemaakte cheesecake.

Stopped at the Burleigh House b&b just round the corner from this lovely old pub. The owner of Burleigh House Vicki recommended the Pembroke house for food when we asked her for recommendations for decent food. Well, what can i say? The food and service was 1st class from start to finish the waitresses serving us where not only very pleasant but on the ball from the off. The starters fried camembert and chicken goujons where cooked perfectly and where so tasty. Our mains Belly pork with mustard mash and chicken with parmesan garlic cream sauce with homemade chips where amazing. We enjoyed the starter and main that much we decided to go for the treble and orded our deserts we had creme brulee and vanilla cheesecake with pouring cream i don't know how we finished them we where that full but we did 😀 they too where very tasty. We were visiting the area and booked in the restaurant downstairs earlier on in the day we visited, based on the reviews we saw on here…….The service and food were both brilliant (and 1 us can be very hard to please food wise but thought his food was excellent) Would definitely return and recommend 😊

Had to recognise the efforts of this lovely establishment today. We grabbed a last minute table at the end of lunch. Couldn’t fault a thing. We received a warm friendly welcome and our starter’s arrived at a nice pace so we didn’t feel rushed at all. I had the king Prawns in a curried batter with mango chutney and salad. It was delicious, other half had the garlic mushrooms with bacon bits that came with a generous amount of toast on the side…. Yummy! Little touches like the butter on the tables are things I love. I loathe it when you a just given packets of butter. For our mains once I’d seen the person opposite with the prawn sandwich and chips I knew I would regret it if I had anything else and it didn’t disappoint. Filled with lots of prawns in a Marie Rose sauce on the freshest softest bread. Again my other half had the Seafood Linguine and loved it. Nice sauce and plenty of it, lots of mussels, prawns, king Prawns even smoked haddock! Oh and chef put these lovely little flower buds in that packed a lovely onion pouch.Tasted just like the Italians do it! Whilst we were sat there every dish that came out looked fantastic… we saw the sea bass with new potatoes, the pie, all looked great. We just kept saying .. why don’t we come here more often? We did the same last time and I still remember how tasty the smoked haddock lasagna with asparagus was. I forgot to mention the chips which were also fab… homemade just like Nan used to make. We shared the chocolate and peanut cheesecake which was off the charts. Honestly this place is great.. lovely staff, great chef (who we were told never gives herself enough credit) she’s very talented and understands flavours and food combinations. Chef you are EPIC. Great atmosphere, mix ox people and very reasonable. We have eaten at Michelin rated places that haven’t been as good! See You All Soon

Amazing meal and service. First time taking a friend who could not believe how wonderful it was. Finally I tried their smoked haddock and asparagus lasagne. Seen it on the menu for years. Why had I not tried before, absolutely delicious.

Lovely old black and white pub, nice ambience and character. We've been a couple of times since moving to the area and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Unfortunately on our last visit we had hoped to order food at lunch but were informed they were full, despite the fact we had already seated ourselves at an empty table and they absolutely weren't full and were supposedly serving for another hour. Slightly bizarre as I've never known a pub turn down a food order before. However, perhaps they were short staffed. The two stars gets knocked off for the rather surly manner of the staff member when informing us. Not the least friendly and frankly felt like she couldn't wait to be rid of us. Shame as staff on our other visits have been great.

We were driving along the country lanes after arriving from New Zealand and came across this beauty! What a stunning spot with so much character and even better food. We had the creamy mushrooms and smoked haddock to start, delicious! Then for mains we couldn’t help but both order the Pork Belly, as it was so highly recommended by the manager Amy. It was incredible!!! I would buy a return flight from Auckland just to have it again. Great prices and wonderful cheerful staff. Will make sure we come again before we go. Thanks again!

I a bit concerned when I rang in a booking as the girl was quiet snotty and had the attitude she was doing me a favour taking my booking. How ever this where the bad review ends. Staff....all of them....came across as very friendly. The Sunday lunch was the best I've had for a long time. I would definitely recommend here...but perhaps work on the phone manner

Had our evening meal twice whilst on holiday nearby. Food cooked freshly and promptly, vegetables worthy of special mention, so often they arrive inedible in other establishments.
