Almost drove past this pub as it isn't obvious from the side it is there. Good size outdoor seating area and you enter to a well stocked bar. A wide range of beer on tap and a warm welcome from the staff. Food was lovely, other than the chips which were really dry. Given the pub was very busy, and full to capacity, service times were good.

I wish The Nags head pub was my local!! The Nags Head is everything you want in a great, well, actually perfect pub. We had just come down from walking to the beacon (highly recommend doing that as well) and wanted to find somewhere for us to have a belly warming Sunday lunch for the three of us and Buster the dog. We stumbled on The Nags Head via a Google search and thank goodness for Google!! The welcome was so warm and friendly in what was an already busy pub, in fact packed pub. We found a table and collected a menu on the way. Open fires and a great atmosphere made us feel very welcome. We ordered our food at the bar and drinks at the same time. A Turkey roast, beef roast, and a veggy mushroom and cranberry roast for me. Drinks were delivered nice and quickly, Sarah said her coffee was the best in a pub for a long time. Our food took no time at all to arrive and by george it looked so good. Hot plates, great Yorkshire and the spuds, oh my. The bowl of steaming veggies topped it all off. My veggie roast was honestly so tasty, and the girls said their meat roasts were the best ever. We cleaned our plates. I have to say, I can not find anything negative to say about our experience or lunch at The Nags Head. I have worked in the hospitality industry all of my working life, and to stumble on somewhere this good is rare. I really do wish I lived closer. We will be back. I have been telly everyone how good this pub is. Well done, and I really mean it. Well done.

Excellent Sunday Lunch backed up with friendly staff and chilled, cosy atmosphere. Found this gem on Google after meeting friends for a dog walk on Malvern Hill. Luckily we booked a table as it was busy inside and outside from beginning to end. It’s a very dog friendly pub but equally if the 4 legged fur ball isn’t your thing, it’s also good for a family gathering or date night! We all tucked into the roast, my only criticism was I like my beef rare and it was more like medium well but we were at the 3:00 sitting so the juicy bits already eaten. We shared a lemon basil tiramisu which was phenomenal and generous portion! We will definitely return when our calves allow us to move again!

Ate here on a Saturday evening a few weeks ago with a friend visiting from China who is about as fussy about anything and everything as it is possible to get. She was blown away by the food, service and ambience. During her three weeks in the UK we ate at some very nice and expensive restaurants around the UK, including in London, and this was the only meal she described as being gourmet, and the absolute best she had whilst here. We both had the seabass, which was cooked to perfection, and neither of us could believe how some simple potatoes and tenderstem broccoli could be so tasty and delicious. A very simple meal, but presented like something from a TV cookery competition by the friendliest of staff. I would go so far as to say this was the best meal out I have ever had ..... amazing. I normally only ever drink beer at the Nags, which is always good with plenty of choice, and a vibrant atmosphere, but this will now be my go to place for a meal out in Malvern .... excellent in every possible way.

'No drunkenness, no singing and no swearing' are amongst the many house rules of this pub. 'League of Gentlemen' vibes. Soulless, unfriendly and dated. The doorman was clearly bullied at school and has bumped his head one too many times. You will be thrown out for saying the word sh1t, once. Which is a shame because it's actually the best word to describe this "pub". There are many excellent pubs in Malvern. This isn't one of them.

Excellent CamRA award-winning pub with a great selection of real ales. Very friendly atmosphere and log fires in winter. It could do with a lick of paint here and there, and some of the furniture is not the most comfortable. Five of us came here after a walk. As a vegan I had a great meal, enjoying Old Mout cider, the vegan chilli con carne meal, and lemon and mango sorbets. My family enjoyed a range of meals and amongst them they decided the pie was particularly impressive, though all enjoyed their meals and the portion sizes seemed just perfect. The staff were very helpful and friendly and attentive. The toilets were decent. The restaurant area was separate to the bar which made the atmosphere for our meal a lot calmer but it was good to see how popular the bar was!

Excellent ales... Some of the best in the Midlands. So 5 stars for beer. But my reason for the low rating is their ridiculous dining restrictions. I went in the pub at 6.30pm on a Saturday night after a hard day on the hills. There were abundant tables free. But incredibly, they said you cannot eat at any table outside of the dining room... An area which I never saw or frequented. I then asked if we could have a table in the 'dining area' (wherever that was) but was told sorry we are fully booked tonight. This is at 6.30pm! So after a swift couple of pints we left. The barman kindly suggested that if we wanted to eat, there was a Chinese takeaway nearby... Yes, exactly what we wanted after travelling from Birmingham for the day. So in conclusion, this is a great pub that pretends to be a restaurant and falls woefully short. Make up your minds and start serving food at the tables!

Update 28/02/2024: Just wanted to mention the amazing welcome I had from staff last time I visited, they were genuinely just so welcoming, chatty and I felt like I'd stepped into somebody's home. They very kindly allowed me to order food despite being close to kitchen closing, and the food was just excellent as always. Visiting The Nag's Head is like visiting a second home, it means a lot!! Love the food, the beer, the people and the vibes. ---- I've always loved visiting The Nag's for drinks when I've been in Malvern, it has some great evening vibes and service has been consistently excellent, despite how busy it can often get - This is one popular spot! I keep forgetting there is a dining area so decided to give it a go on my last visit and the service was just as exceptional, very good value for money and food was great, not to mention how timely it was served. Highly recommend booking ahead if dining as they did say they were fully booked but fortunately they were kindly able to squeeze us in! It can get crammed inside when busy but there's plenty of heated outdoor seating too. Craft beer usually available on tap as well as plenty of cask ales, always been a small selection of craft in the fridges too. I'm constantly looking forward to my next visit to Malvern knowing I'll end up here. 😁

Visited for a Spa Day which included Afternoon Tea and decided to stay for dinner too. I have a milk allergy which they catered for extremely well. The Afternoon Tea and Fish and Chips we had for dinner were the best l have ever tried. I do dine out often and this food surpassed my expectations!!! The only let down was the waiter that served us at Dinner. There were two of us dining but he seemed to be oblivious to the fact that I was even there. Whilst serving he seemed to address my friend more which left me somewhat bewildered. At one point he even turned his back to me whilst telling my friend what specials were available! He also poured out my friends drink but did not do the same for me. His behaviour was very odd to say the least and I have never experienced such blatant ignorance before.
