Annie was wonderful! The food was amazing! We’ve had a great night celebrating our wedding anniversary. There was a lovely surprise with a special message on my dessert!! THANK YOU Annie for a great night!

Well where do I start we where there for a suprise birthday party 1 ,the area which was alicated was not ready as was book for 615pm to 630pm 2, we were booked to eat straight away as got young children 3, we kept asking where food was, all we got as reply was it was on its way we actually got food at 7.50pm which was not acceptable. As for the food I had the mushroom starter which was cold did mention had no reaction my main was chicken which was ok but not worth the price paid I've eaten better else where ,so overall I'm afraid I would not return or recommend the plough and arrow. Very over rated.

Had a lovely impromptu meal here yesterday. The service was friendly and quick and the pub has a lovely atmosphere with both a bar section and restaurant area. My husband had the steak and maybe pie and I had fish and chips, both were well presented and tasted great. We will definitely come back if in the area.

I had a lovely lunch time meal today and great service from Izzy D, will definitely be returning soon .

Wow, just wow, the food, the service, the quality. Just WOW. Just want to thank the chefs for their quality of food and Ruby’s politeness, although it was a Friday night she still treated my family with the upmost respect.

Another disappointing visit today. Love the location and look of the pub but it is very hit and miss on service. Today was a 'miss' and it was hubby's birthday lunch so we had hoped for better. The place was so cold and service really slow. A queue to be seated then a 20 minute wait to be asked for drinks order (after calling the waitress over) and another 15 minutes to deliver them. Maybe it's a training issue or staff shortage but it wasn't very busy. People are happier to wait for food if they at least have a drink in front of them. Also, there is an unpleasant smell in the area of the restaurant near to the ladies loo, like Jeyes fluid or similar but it's not coming from the loo as i had cause to go and that just smells of bad drains. I've noticed this on previous visits too. When the food finally came it was OK but nothing to rave about. This pub is charging premium prices but not delivering service to match. We eat out a lot so we know what the competition can do. We would like to bring our friends there as its convenient but worry that it'll be a 'miss' day and we will feel responsible for recommending it. You really need to tighten up the detail and make this pub stand out for all the right reasons. I'm sure it attracts plenty of clients as its got a good catchment area but I wonder how many return time and again. You need to feel that it's not a gamble on how the experience will be and so we're likely to choose another venue.

Staff were lovely but both mine and my friends food was completely disappointing, severely under filled sandwiches, overly salty and beef that was 70% fat

Nice relaxed atmosphere, and excellent service by our waitress Emily. Starters was AMAZING (Sticky chicken and chilli Squid) abit disappointed in the british roast chicken dinner as it said half chicken and only got a 1/4 brest piece. Also said white breaded sauce but got ale gravy which definitely would have lead me to chooseing something else as i am not a fan of that and the Yorkshire pudding centre was saturated in oil. Didn't want to disappoint our waitress as she was fantastic but yes quite disappointing. Didn't end up staying for desert unfortunately.

Ordered the ribeye steak no shallots come out on our dinner they bought us 3half shallots we I said neither of us had them on our dinner we was told they were to share! Steak came out and mine was slightly cooked on the back but rest was of it was raw and I mean blue. Waitress asked if I would like it cooking a little more. We were then charged £4.50 for a bottle of water we never opened. Very bad experience never again

This is our regular pub as well as restaurant and we use it very frequently, probably 3 to 4 times per week.The staff are extremely helpful and courteous at all times and are always on hand to help at any time. Disappointing birthday lunch on Sunday I ordered a Starter of Sauteed Mushrooms mixed (i.e. a variety of mushrooms) for £7.75. There were only three very tiny button mushrooms and 1-2 slightly larger than tiny button mushrooms on a tablespoon of cold potato mash and not enough sauce which had no flavour. The Starter was tasteless, un-appetizing and disappointing to receive. This was not value for money and a dish that could not be classed as a “Starter” due to its tiny size and lack of variety (mixed) mushrooms. There was not a mix/variety of mushrooms as stated on the menu, only button mushrooms. I was expecting something a little more exciting as there was NOT a variety of mushrooms only button mushrooms and very little of a sauce which had no flavour on cold mash. I notice the mushrooms starter was on the special menu handed to us on entry and not on the Starter Menu on the Plough and Harrow website. This is misleading. The 7oz Fillet steak was again tiny, approx. 7 x 5 cm at the most, again not value for money at £37.90 +VAT. The chips were white, soggy, undercooked and cold. I had not visited the Plough and Harrow for at least 8-9 years and was very disappointed once again at a pub that has been taken over by M&B on the basis of the excellent reputation it had previously as an “independent” pub restaurant, but the quality not being continued on the new ownership. As this was a celebration lunch, I did not ask the other party members about the quality of their food but I could see it was not value for money in any way shape or form. Also, the chair I was sitting on had a stain at the back – it looked like food and I was itching for the next 24 hours because I suspect, mites from the chair. I think that upholstery chairs should be shampooed and at least vacuumed occasionally to keep the dust mites down. With the high prices that are being charged at the Plough and Harrow for food, the quality should be unquestionable and be an enjoyable experience not a disappointment. On arrival all the disabled parking spaces were taken and most had no blue badge displayed - illegal.

The service was very slow, very slow to take the first food order then one hour for the main course arrive and two main courses wrong. Some of the main course was only just warm but it was good food. Desert orders and the desert was good but had to ask for a knife for cheese board and spoons, napkins etc were dumped on mass on the table for dessert Bar service good as we all went to bar for our drinks.

Lovely atmosphere with great service brought with a smile, Chloe and colleagues were attentive and friendly. The only thing I’d ask is slightly bigger meat portions.

The food for the money was not worth it get better from the carvery. The meat was fatty

Very poor service, mixed up drinks order, noodles miissing from a noodle dish, steak very tough, and loud music, which they said couldn't turn down.

Annie our waitress was great, we were served quickly and she was very helpful and attentive.

Been a few years but still a lovely place to go to with good food. Service felt disjointed, asked for bread at table whilst we wait for starters but came out at same time. This was followed by bringing out the mains when table hadn't been cleared. Thankfully the good food and pleasant staff made up for this.

All three courses were great (compliments to the chef ). The service was lovely (thanks Saphie). Will definitely be coming again.

We have been to the Plough and Harrow many times for dinner but were very disappointed on this last visit and are unlikely to return again, especially with so many other places to go in the area. The goats cheese dish on the starters is supposed to be served with vanilla poached pear - received 4 small chunks of raw pear - seems trivial but the prices are not cheap and I don't think it is unreasonable for dishes to be served as advertised. Mains were small and arrived tepid warm. We would have talked to staff about this rather than leaving this review however, not one staff member at any point asked us how our meals were.

Apologies first for the lack of images. However, I was pleasantly surprised with this venue: building is pretty; interior nicely presented and clean; pleasant staff who were very professional and beautifully cooked seabass! I ordered the mushrooms to start with the seabass for my main. Both items were tasty and cooked well. I enjoyed the variety of the mushrooms offered in the starter which helped keep the differing flavour and texture engaging my interest. The fish was cooked well and not dry. The sauce was a little thick and set, but once stirred became silky again. It was very well seasoned. Overall, I am extremely pleased and impressed and will come again.

I only popped in for a quick pint on my way home nearly had a heart attack with the price they charge for a pint of poor beers posh names but poor in taste

My husband and I shared the meal for two for £100. The starters were exceptional (scallops and sticky chicken) the main courses were excellent (ribeye steak and belly pork with scallops) and the desserts ...well the lemon tart was lovely but the chocolate creme brulee was not chocolately at all. However, we enjoyed some spectacular food, the service was friendly and professional...we would recommend and we will be returning.

First time visiting here Had looked at menu prior to visit and wasn’t impressed on prices seemed expensive so was hoping good portion sizes but no Very expensive for what you get Prices of puddings ridiculous £9.25 for a bit of meringue fruit and cream hence why we didn’t have puddings Lovely pub and nice surroundings Our waitress was very quiet could hardly here her but she was polite and pleasant Unfortunately I won’t be returning and I wouldn’t recommend visiting Expected better for the price you are charging

We were extremely disappointed with our time here and are very unlikely to be returning. The Plough and Harrow’s sister pub/restaurant called The Crown in Wolverhampton was a far better experience for us. The service we received from the staff was awful and it seemed...

I had the most delicious roast dinner yesterday and I can’t wait to come back with other friends to show them the best roast dinner I’ve had for a while. The staff were lovely and happy to help and made us all feel welcome.

Very pleasant experience. I went for a special occasion and expressed this when I made the booking 2 weeks in advance. Found ourselves sat next to an extremely hot radiator, which we did burn ourselves on, and a window view looking out at a speed camera and weeds. Apart from this, we embraced the visit. Ordered a starter and main to share, but had to send the first chateaubriand back as was over cooked. The staff rectified this and replaced the entire meal as soon as possible. The meal was amazing and could not fault the amazing taste once it had been cooked correctly. Puddings were exquisitely rich and filling. Drinks and cocktails were pleasant but expensive. Overall excellent venue and would recommend even with the issues.

Sunday lunch at plough and harrow alrdridge. Amazing, service was great by Elisha, couldn't do enough, food was to die for and just about walked away in a food coma. Nice surroundings, do a great Guiness and will definitely return.

Had the most amazing evening, the food was delicious.

The staff were very friendly & very attentive, thank you . The food was delicious the only thing I would have changed was the music. I love dance music but not in a restaurant. I think maybe we were close to a speaker but it did not match the atmosphere & was very distracting for me talking to my friend, also loud in the toilets.

Great service as soon as we arrived, welcomed by Vicky. Vibe was good, lots of chat and laughter. Tables far enough apart so you’re not sat on to of each other. We had chicken burger and half a chicken. Both were delicious and highly recommended. Chocolate bomb for dessert was amazing, so many pub desserts are awful but not this one! Shiraz was good as was the Long Island ice tea. Emily our server was very friendly and efficient. £90 for 4 drinks, bread starter, 2 mains and a dessert. Highly recommend, thank you for looking after us so well team 🙏🏽
