fantastic traditional real ale pub with charm , bathams mild & bitter on tap plus a decent range of lagers . very peasant bar lady made us feel welcome.

Did not eat here so can't comment on the food. Travelling through on our narrowboat we popped in. Great welcome by staff and locals. Drinks are very reasonably priced and dogs are welcome. Visited a few times while we were in the area.

The best beer in the universe/multiverse. Friendly staff and there are always friendly Kinverites in the bar who love to chat and share a joke or two. This has been my favourite pub since the 70's and it still retains its olde-worlde charm! It's so good, we often walk six miles from home just so we can have a couple of small pints of slimline Batham's Bitter.

Very friendly pub both in terms of the staff and its customers serving what must be one of the lowest priced pint of beer in the UK. According to one of the national surveys Coventry came out at the cheapest in the UK at £3.89 a pint, but here for a very nice well kept of real ale I was charged £3.50. I can't comment on the food as I was only drinking but the place was busy.

Its a belter of a pub, fresh cobs daily, hot pork cobs at weekends what more could you want.

Ed is looking after this pub, but only temporary. Shame cus he is doing a cracking job. My other half couldnt believe how clear the bitter was. The food we had was scrathchings. Lol

This is a great country pub, which served as a welcome break from our scout camp for a couple of hours. There was entertainment and good beer... oh and freshly made rolls on the bar. What more do you need?

Went their easter bank Holiday it was busy had wait ages get served with me dad when got served as only one serving he messed up order as guy who runs pub lazy won't go behind the bar ordered cobs which was not in fridge will be using the Cross more as the landlord knows how treat customers if could give 0 stars I would

Nice atmosphere, great beer and nice people. Not expensive either.

Reason I put 3 instead of 5. The ladies toilets are absolutely discusting. No door on one of the two cubicals. Poo all round inside of toilet. Wee all over the floor. I had to leave my party and go back home to use my own toilet. How bad is that. It's been like this for weeks. Not acceptable. Please sort.

Friendly locals, good traditional pub

It's an old boozer, which has been given a face lift. Have always loved this bathams pub. Large free carpark. Home made cob selection, pork pies, sausage rolls are all a extra treat. In the winter an open fire. We'll worth a visit

Fifth ale trail sticker courtesy of Kinver. This was only a flying visit but seemed like a lovely little pub. Beer was nice and there was a friendly atmosphere.

Visited on a hot day in august 2022, had to comment to the lady behind the bar that the hand pulled bitter and mild was well kept not to cold, every time we visited the place during our stay we were greeted with a warm welcome, excelent place for a drink..

Great beers, friendly helpful staff and clientele. Bar dog friendly with a dog treat jar. Plenty of parking. Plenty of snack and Ham, Cheese, Beef and Cheese, Onion and Black Pudding COBS. Definitely a must if you like good beers.

It's simple. Cannot beat a BATHAMS pub service and staff was excellent and especially the beer.

Great bathams pub in the lovely village of Kinver. Visited on an evening. Definitely would like to go back for a day visit after a lovely walk along the canals.

Brill pub. Eden the bar lad on a Sunday is a great guy. Always up for a chat and nothing is too much to ask, very welcoming, perfect barman for a real ale pub.

Well kept basic local pub serving an excellent pint of Batham's bitter.

The feeling that death is near greets you going into this old person's pub. Time stands still with the aged atmosphere as the pendulum in the clock swing slower. Bathams bitter is the only thing keeping this place away from the fate of death.

Any beer enthusiast will tell you that Bathams beer is without a doubt one of the best in the country and the Plough and Harrow serves it as it should be served. Not a fancy pub but we'll worth a visit for its beverages and bar snacks... brilliant pub.

Basic pub, excellent beer and I mean fantastic, and really cheap.

Good Bathams Real Ale in local boozer. However could do with more pleasant outdoor seating especially if hot n sunny. Car park and seating competing for space. Also an invasion of pooches with various animal noises. Hopefully a project in progress

Nice pub with a welcoming atmosphere. Typical old style pub and no problems bringing my dog in with me so plus points there. Beers were expensive though, the only downside.

Also known as The Steps in Kinver. The beer is first class both the bitter and the mild. The wine is good too and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is nice and friendly and the bar staff are really pleasant. Well done to Claire Batham for running a brilliant village pub!

A great traditional pub with good beer and good service

My favourite pub in the village and easily one of the two best remaining pubs in Kinver, the other being the Cross just five minutes walk up the high street. The beer is always of excellent quality, it has retained its' proper pub feel despite a few refurbs over the years, nice and cosy with a great atmosphere most evenings. Oh, and like every other Bathams pub, they serve a fantastic variety of very tasty cobs at sensible prices, often with other options such as locally sourced pork pies.
