I had a wonderful experience at a food and quiz night recently, the service was wonderful. Everything is clean and beautifully presented. Attentive and speedy service. I have recommended to friends.

Really well cooked food. Excellent all round. Loved the please use the wipes before the menu was given to us. Cleanliness and consistency is key to a good restaurant.

I am so glad we found this restaurant it is fantastic. The food is amazing. Every dish is so tasty It takes ages to choose from all the delicious meals on the menu. Really friendly feel to the restaurant and the owners are so helpful.

Brilliant find. We stayed locally on a biking trip and stumbled upon Plesters by chance. Tried the Salt & Pepper fish starter and Fish Stew main on night one. Enjoyed it so much we returned for Black Pudding starter and Steak on night 2. Everything done to order with only one front of house and one chef so you need to be prepared to wait ......but it's worth it. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

Another perfect experience, this one was valentines night. Lovey restaurant, hosts and food. Reasonably priced , what more can you ask for.

Fantastic food. The Jamaican Salmon is superb. Friendly service. Our 3rd vist and would definitely recommend but you must book.

My husband and I have just left and I couldn’t wait to write a review. I honestly didn’t want the food to end. It was so beautiful. The atmosphere was so lovely-intimate, but private enough that you couldn’t hear other people’s conversations. I had the Brie starter and then the chicken, and I was absolutely thrilled. Can’t wait to go back again. Thank you much to the lovely staff. We loved it :)

Always welcomed by Jeremy and Pansy cooks the most tasty meals for us. We had a wonderful pre Christmas dinner last night and it was as always delicious and the atmospher was warm and friendly. Highly recommended. Give it a try you will not be disappointed. We hope you both have a wonderful Christmas as soon as you can stop and relax. See you again in 3 weeks time.

We booked over a week in advance but 6 hours before our booking, we got a message saying that our booking was cancelled. So disappointed. 🙁

Recommended this place to my daughter who booked today for an anniversary meal. I was surprised by the response she got from Geoffrey and Pansy. So disappointed as Glynn Roden thinks so much of you both and we both have had great service and really enjoyed meals there. Not very good customer service from you both of you apparently and that was only trying to book a reservation.

Love this place. We were asked to use the hand sanitiser as we sat down. For me, this was a WINNER!! I have OCD about my hands, so I was more than impressed! We went using a Groupon, and the food didn't disappoint...

Also offering of condiments etc

Intimate dining with the kitchen right out in the corner. Excellent food and when the appetizer I wanted was out they made me something close from scratch. Great food and great service.

Arrived at Plesters for 6pm booking no one in. Front of house service not friendly at all. Having originally got a groupon voucher for mid week brunch value £20 on booking was told they were not doing brunch anymore so if we wanted to pay £15 we could book for evening meal. But out side the restaurant there was a sandwich board which was advertising Sunday Brunch for £7 ? When bill arrived we had an extra charge of £23.65 for the meal. We paid but won’t be going again

So popped in to Plesters, lovely little place Jeremy is an amazing host and Is on top of the front of house. His partner in the kitchen is totally on top of her game and is sending out quality food presented really well. Top night and good value

Outstanding food! Plesters only have a small selection of dishes, but do them all really well, coupled with house wine at £10 a bottle, its easy to make it a regular haunt. The service is friendly from the Mum, Dad and Daughter who helps out, its an asset to the area.

Friendly welcome. Their first brunch time opening! Good selection of dishes, all freshly prepared. Pleasantly busy but not overly so. Lovely atmosphere. Clean, bright contemporary decor. Bar area for drinks. Definitely will go back. Eager to try their Caribbean dishes.

Had a meal one Saturday night. Good prices, friendly service, tasty food.

Me and my wife visited plesters last night for the first time we both had the cajun spiced chicken,prawn and chorizo starter and then I had the fish stew my wife had the chicken wrapped in ham in a creamy mushroom sauce everything we had was absolutely delicious,the service and presentation was also fantastic and would highly recommend this little gem of a place and we will definitely be going back very soon.

After walking past Plesters for years, finally took the plunge and visited and was not disappointed. The Black Pudding starter was delicious, the Steak perfectly cooked medium rare and a delicious home made Bakewell Tart. Topped off with a fantastic bottle of Rose. Lovely food, friendly service and a nice atmosphere. Definitely will return to try some of the other dishes. Thank you!

I posted the review below on Tripadvisor after our first visit to the wonderful Plesters. Now, after our second visit I feel I must whole heartedly endorse my comments. Everything spot-on from start to finish. You must give this place a try! What a fantastic place! We accidentally happened across Plasters whilst out drinking in the Heeley area of Sheffield. Formally, Surf and Turf it is now known by the family name of Plesters. Table for two and a bottle of house white, (which was on offer and very nice) and we ordered a starter and main each at £19 per person. I had Black Pudding with Quail Egg and dressing and my wife had Caribbean Cod Gougons with dressing. This food was so tasty I had to tell the waiter/owner just how good it was! For mains we had Jerk Salmon and Surf and Turf which were equally amazing, full of flavour and very good value. We shared a desert of Chocolate Cheese Cake and fought over every forkful. Two starters, two mains, one desert and two bottles of wine: £63. It’s a husband and wife business and is very, very well organised, neat, clean and tidy. Can’t wait to go back but we’ve told so many people about it we might not get a table! Booking is advised as opening hours are reduced due to covid restrictions.

Lovely place to eat with a special deal of £19 per person for a starter and a main course with a half price wine list even though the house wine was still £ 10 so not what I would call half price but if your wanting a lovely meal out this is a place you must try the only down side can be the waiting times if busy .

This was the fourth or fifth time we'd been to Plesters (formerly Surf and Turf). The restaurant was busy but felt quite safe. We were asked to sanitize our hands while we were waiting to be shown to our table. The menu is not extensive but there is something on there to suit everybody. Food is cooked fresh to order and is, as always, delicious. Fabulous place with great staff. We'll continue to return.

Nice looking restaurant, professional staff, but the food wasnt to our taste as we found the food too oily for us and service was slow.

My wife and I have used our second Groupon voucher today and although the name has changed the same great food and service still exists. We had two different starters and mains and all 4 dishes were excellent. Jeremy and the team make it look so easy. We came early this time and they were all fully up to speed. It's simply a thoroughly nice dining experience. We will be back.

Excellent food and service. Well organized for covid

Good deal through Groupon, starter and main course. No sirloin staek available for 2 of us so they 'upgraded' us to rib-eye, which was quite grissley but cooked ok. We had the extras, mushrooms and peppercorn sauce, knew we had to pay for this but at £4 for each extra, the quantity of the sauce and mushrooms was tiny, wine was expensive...ok we didn't have to have these but what we thought was going to be a cheap-ish night out turned into an expensive one, seems they are taking advantage of groupon by offering a decent 2 course meal but then charging over the top for drinks and extras left that 'ripped off' feeling.

The food was lovely, we really enjoyed the evening. We were shocked at the price and size of the side dishes, a ramekin of 4 mushrooms £4, a small pot of peppercorn sauce £4. The meals are worth the money but the sides are not.

So pleased to be able to visit regularly following the re-opening after covid-19 closures. Has always been a favourite restaurant and the quality remains excellent value. Have visited several times following lockdown and we feel very safe with all the changes made.
