Great restaurant the food was fantastic.

Not many options for vegans, but what they have is beautiful. So rare to get vegan filled pasta! Friendly but unobtrusive service.

Fun atmosphere with friendly service and an exceptional menu every day. When they offer specials, go for them! They push the envelope of food in new dishes and it really stands out.

Incredible experience, we went on 23 March with my boyfriend and a Sicilian friend and it felt like home, we come from Sassari and Ploaghe, we ate really well we felt at home in every sense, the staff guys were lovely it was an experience to do again as coming from Manchester we don't have places like this, we will definitely come back thank you for this experience ☺️

Relaxed environment. Excellent range of dishes, great portion sizes, and the food is delicious. Service was fantastic. A gem in Sheffield and somewhere we will definitely revisit.

We had a wonderful early Mother’s Day lunch at Domo. Everything was incredibly fresh and extremely tasty. It is the kind of place where you know whatever you pick off the menu will be amazing. Dario our server made our visit extra special. He was very attentive and had a great sense of humour, making us feel right at home. We will definitely be back!

Delicious food in a lovely atmosphere

This was our first visit to Domo on a Saturday night which we had booked a few weeks in advance. The menu is a pricier than most places in Sheffield but the portion and quality of the food makes up for it. The restaurant is noisy which made it difficult to hear conversation at times. They have a great awareness of allergens and we ordered the gluten-free gnocchetti and the sausage and borlotti bean dish with some wine by the glass

Great place busy but staff were brilliant all the way through our meal . Even let us sit out for a while to enjoy the sun and a drink. Food was nice but some a bit over cooked . But mainly very nice

I visited Domo with colleagues during a work trip and returned 3 times in total, I just wish we had found it sooner on our trip. The food is excellent, the portions are generous and the prices reasonable. Will return when next in Sheffield.

The dine in service was poor, they kept taking the food from us even though we told them twice that we haven't finished yet , it was rushed, the food is just okay but wouldn't come here again.

Fabulous from start to finish. We arrived 10 minutes early for our booking and were greeted by the friendly staff and taken to our table, despite being early! The waitress and waiter were exceptionally knowledgeable, polite and friendly. We were made aware of the specials promptly after being seated. The menu was full of complex beautiful dishes but also studded with more simple dishes, which pleased my fussy brother! We were given our drinks and starters very soon after ordering them and they were absolutely delicious. I’d definitely recommend the mushroom arancini balls. They tasted so fresh and rich! The decor and ambiance was exceptional, with gorgeous quirky Sardinian flourishes everywhere. The mains were fabulous and huge portions! We couldn’t finish all of it! The waitress then gave us a takeaway box to carry it home as we couldn’t bear to waste the delicious food! The staff are really observant, they gave my father a spoon and serrated knife for his meal before he needed to ask for one! So thoughtful! Fantastic family dinner out at the Domo Restaurant. I had a Bruschetta which was truly the most delicious sweet, cheesy thing ever. Then I had the venison pasta dish which was flavoursome, mature and rich. I loved the plates and the presentation - couldn't recommend it more!

I rarely write reviews but felt compelled after our meal tonight. Domo is really beautiful inside, even down to the small details such as the plates. Modern but still traditional. For our main meals, I had a pizza and my partner had the t-bone steak. They arrived quickly and were piping hot. Most importantly, and I cannot emphasise this enough, the food was absolutely delicious. I also haven’t had such good service in a restaurant in a long time. Staff were attentive but not over bearing. I left with the impression that staff genuinely enjoyed working there and were happy. This place is a little slice of heaven and Sheffield is lucky to have it. We will be back.

Overpriced with mediocre service. Had heard good things about Domo but found experience underwhelming to say the least. Had two bruschetta starters (traditional & gairo) which were enjoyable and fresh. Mains, Crab and oxtail pasta. Crab pasta was bland and didn’t have much flavour. Portions on the smaller side which wasn’t too problematic etc with starters deserts. Oxtail pasta was cooked nicely, but in ways just seemed to lack any presentation or wow factor considering the price. I think slightly over critical perhaps but could be compared to gravy/stew and pasta. Desserts beautiful being tiramisu and lemon tart. I don’t want to lean too heavily on the price for this review, but it’s difficult not to when considering its approx £25 per main, when’s it’s served from a grumpy ish gentleman, on a chipped plate combined with what I’ve highlighted above. I think when you consider what price point the restaurant is working from, I don’t believe the experience reflects the price and think you could have a better experience elsewhere in terms of value for money. Myself and partner spent approx £110 for the above with 2x non alcoholic drinks.

What a great team, staff were super helpful and the feel of Italian families rose from the atmosphere. Food was delicious 😋. Top notch place will defo be revising when next in Sheffield.

Really lovely food and great service. I can’t remember the exact name of the dish but I had burrata to start and it was delicious.

Good food, well prepared in house. Quality is high, and so are prices. I would have appreciated smaller quantities at lower prices, so I could enjoy more courses in the traditional way. The converted ex-workshop building induces a warm ambiance. The wine list is very good, with the cheaper bottles being perfectly respectable.

Sheffield Domo is a gem. Every visit has been a delight—the food is always delicious, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is just right. It’s definitely one of my favorite spots in Sheffield. Highly recommend!

Large range of food prepared to a high quality. Service excellent, care being paid to dietary requirements. Only minor issue restaurant was very busy (Saturday early evening) and loud. So a relaxing evening anniversary celebratory meal with my wife was not what was expected. May return on a more quieter evening.

A Haven for Carnivores and Herbivores Alike! Our group of nine recently dined at Domo, and it was a resounding success! Finding a place that can truly satisfy both dedicated meat-eaters and vegetarians can be a challenge, but Domo knocked it out of the park.

Our first, but definitely not our last visit. Buzzy atmosphere, super friendly staff (our waiter Dario was brilliant - friendly, fun and very helpful). The menu is vast and the best Italian cuisine I've ever tasted. Thank you for a fabulous birthday celebration with our friends - we loved it xxx

Oh my goodness. First things first, it's not cheap. Right, I was amazed at the food, beautiful flavours and good portions. I had a beef carpaccio style dish to start and it was literally melt in the mouth. Oxtail for main, never had it before but it was generous in quantity and flavour. The atmosphere loses a point because we were sat outside (we knew, we dressed for being sat outside) and a rowdy group were put there to wait for their indoor table. Once they went inside it returned to a nice family atmosphere. Will I go back, yes, definitely.

Recommended by friends, went for a birthday treat, so went all out and had the mixed grill (Domo version) it was outstanding! Delicious food, great wine, nice decor, lovely service… will definitely return!

A corner of Sardinia in Sheffield.....the place is furnished with paintings, baskets and typical Sardinian masks.....the dishes from Vietri are beautiful.......the raw materials of the dishes are excellent and cooked well .....the presentation of the pig is spectacular..... highly recommended

Really impressed. I'd had fomo about domo for a while. It didn't disappoint. Helpful staff, actually suggesting food options and suggesting tweaks to the meals we might like. Superb pasta, wine was perfect with it and the oxtail was sublime.

Wow! What can I say! I've now eaten here twice and the food has been flipping amazing! It's often tricky to get a table (but that shows how popular it is) but each time we've been it's been incredible. I would thoroughly recommend Domo and we'll definitely visit again.

Wheelchair accessible! Went with my boyfriend for our three year aniversary on 28th December. Very lovely atmosphere and food was to die for! Reccomend the pistachio pizza and the tiramusu

I'm not sure how, but they made very expensive tuna taste just like ham by deep frying it. Very disappointing after such lovely starters.

Fabulous but very busy 'gem' of a restaurant hidden away on Kelham Island. Staff are obviously trained well, courteous and knowledgeable. Food is spectacular - a stunning menu and what a selection of drinks, cocktails and wines to choose from. DEFINITELY we will be returning.

Very lucky to pick Domo for our New Year's Eve meal. The menu was reduced choice but there was still a lot of delicious things to eat. I had the rolled tuna to start and a rolled pizza for main - both were amazing - presented beautifully, arrived in good time by relaxed and friendly wait staff. The side salad equally tasty. The venue is a handsome beast and we felt very comfortable here. We rocked the boat out with two very nice bottles of wine. For 4 and tip included it came in at £260 for 4. Not bad for a NYE meal where we all just chose what we wanted. Lovely relaxed vibe, upmarket feel, and a pampered way to close the year. Fully recommended.

Simply amazing food, went for my partner's birthday and it did not disappoint! The seafood was soo fresh and the meat we had was soo tender. Such amazing environment too, and the staff are so welcoming. Will definitely be back 😁

We had our works Christmas do here. They catered for us at the last minute. Absolutely gorgeous food and ample amount. Beautiful decor however my only niggle was we didn't get asked enough if we wanted drinks. Absolutely worth a visit here

I am genuinely excited to receive a response to this review - whoever's been tasked with replying to the negative customer ratings has the flair of a heavily-biased fifteen-year-old smashing out bilious retorts to a 2010 Tweet criticizing their favourite B-lister. And now, on to my thoughts. We had heard great things about Domo, hence the choice for our joint-birthday venture. The serving staff were absolutely courteous, but rarely have I seen a team of people who looked as desperate to walk straight out the door mid-shift than this lot. I felt as though they might beg to exchange places with us at any moment, thrusting their aprons towards us with a desperate glint in their eye - instinctively I placed a kindly and watchful hand over my cutlery every time one of them drifted near. 2/5. The atmosphere was not unpleasant - somewhere between a decent Weatherspoons and your local Italian (and I frequent Spoons now and then, so that's not the snobby response you might assume). Basically, it had the air of a higher-end chain. Not the authenticity we had expected, but not a bad vibe. 3/5 Last but not least: the food. My partner ordered a Margherita and the house pale ale, and reported both to be delicious at the price. I ordered sashimi tuna in carasau crumb with mango mayo. The impressive technical skill required to produce what arrived in front of me was inversely proportionate to the justice the dish did to its composite parts, and indeed to the country from which it allegedly hailed - including the addition of some viciously sacarin tapioca pearls. A lightly seared steak, with a fresh mango salsa verde and some butter-roasted crushed new potatoes would have championed both the ingredients, and the spirit of the restaurant itself - 'Home'. Which is where we retreated less than an hour after our arrival, leaving with our hearts and alas our palates, quite confused. 2.5/5

Good food, the atmosphere was brilliant, but the service was slow. We had ordered wine by the glass, which was accidentally spilt when brought to the table. It took a while to inform the staff member who tried to remove the stain. We paid the bill, including the service charge, but I felt we should have had a discount because of this.

I cannot fault my experience here for a celebration dinner - it was exceptional. The service was efficient and warm but not obtrusive or rushed. The food and ingredients must have been selected carefully because all of the dishes were bursting with flavour. Despite being a cold dark night in Sheffield we were transported to Sardinia with the thoughtful decor, food and wonderful Prosecco.

The worst service we had. We were in 10 friends celebrating the birthday of 2 of the friends, we made the reservation for the 10. Ordering the drink was already very uncomfortable, everyone in the weight felt a harshness of the waiter, the worst was at the time of the food, he didn't I had patience or didn't want to explain about the dishes, I answered with a closed face or an air of debauchery, we ended up choosing anything because the waiter was very rude, in the end everyone was Scared with the terrible service. In the end we were happy with the dishes the kitchen did a great job, I was unhappy to order an ice cream for dessert and had to eat with a fork, I didn't want to create problems but we all left badly impressed, so talking to the waiter I found out that he was Spanish, With the terrible logical service that it was not or British because in Spain it is normal for them to treat everyone bad manners, but here it is England and people are polite, we paid around £700 in total which was not a cheap night, we did not remove the 10% so as not to harm the kitchen that made divine dishes, but by the Terrible service, we will hardly come back, I'm sorry for the owners of the restaurant that the most important piece that are the "sellers" waiter does not know how to be friendly and professional...

Domo is one of our favourite restaurants, the food is sublime and the service and atmosphere are amazing. Stefania was our waitress this time and she is so kind, attentive and helpful. We got the pistachio / caramel melt-in-the-middle pudding on her recommendation and it was indeed incredible! Thank you Stefania x

This was our favorite restaurant. Unfortunately, the chef changed the original Sardinian products to cheaper substitutes. We were 6 people and none of us were happy. The appearance of the dishes was very nice but the taste unfortunately lost its quality;(((. We do not recommend it anymore. We reported it to the waiter, he said that they are still busy, so it must be good🤦‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️. If you want original Sardinian, you will not find them in this restaurant. And this one is very expensive. We are so disappointed ;(

Went to Domo for my birthday & it was definitely one of my favourite meals in a long time! All of the dishes we had were amazing & full of flavour. The tiramisu was probably one of the best I've ever had, I really enjoyed the addition of pine nuts to it as well! The staff were very attentive & as soon as we confirmed our reservation they wished me a happy birthday & gave us some prosecco, which was a really lovely touch. The restaurant was busy but there was a really good atmosphere, it wasn't too loud & it felt quite cosy. Looking forward to going back & trying some of the other dishes!

We went to this hide gem today at lunch we had one of our best meals we ever had in uk, best food and the service was incredible, the guy who served us (Dario) was super friendly and he gave us really good suggestions for food and desserts. We will definitely be back soon.

Second time we’ve been and everytime we had to wait a long time (30min-1h) after my booking. Some food is great (starters and deserts have always been good) but the mains were just a joke…they look incomplete, very small portions that almost look like a taster rather than a main meal (chicken), no sides unless you order extra and some not cooked well to be honest (lamb was rubbery)…when you look at the prices, totally not worth it. For the cost it needs to be A LOT better. Atmosphere is okay if you like chaos and noise!

This is such an amazing restaurant. The food is amazing. So many delicious things to choose from. Great atmosphere in a great location. The staff are very welcoming and organised. We were a group of 18 for my 40th birthday. Lots of personal touches and we all had a great time. I can’t wait to go back!

Consistently lovely food here. Service is great and always a busy, lively atmosphere. Didn't get my first choice of main, because it was sold out, but second choice was fantastic, so all good.

A family outing to celebrate a birthday. I think we all had a wonderful time, and the Italian/Sardinian waiting staff really made the whole experience, authentic and just fabulous. We didn't feel hurried at all, and I can't wait to go back. P.S Mycson had a mocktail, even two, I think, and daud it was the best non- alcoholic cocktail he had ever had.

Lovely place, very busy, all staff were lovely and very attentive. The dish I had was.very nice, but it was the only thing I really wanted off the menu as I don't like fish, didn't want a pizza, and cldnt afford the steak.. pasta portion quite small, but very tasty. My taste not thier fault.

Amazing food and service. We will definitely come back when we are in Sheffield again. 5* is not enough to describe how good it was.

5 of us went for a family dinner, and we had a good spread of different choices. We had 5 cocktails and 1 bottle of med cost wine, and it was £75 per head with service. So not cheap for Sheffield by any means. All of the ingredients looked good and it was reasonably well prepared. I had the Bass and it was overcooked. By consensus round the table, the flavours were average and some of the dishes didn't work too well. Good atmosphere. Service was slow, and then they rushed us out at the end once we got to the 2hr limit, which was really annoying. Therefore I don't get the fuss over this place.

Despite Sheffield being more landlocked than Texas, the lobster was incredible. Service was so polite and the only thing I could say was that it was a smidge loud for a Tuesday night, but that's more a fault of my parents genetics for giving me sensitive ears.

Wow! We were in Sicily this summer and Sardinia last summer. Domo was as good as anywhere we ate while we were in either country. A real gem. We will have to go back. Need to try more of the food on that menu.

My husband booked us a table for dinner (first time visiting) to celebrate our 5 year anniversary and they went out of their way to help it feel like a special occasion. The staff were all lovely, very attentive, friendly and gave excellent recommendations - even though it was still busy through to gone 11pm. Particular shout out to Steph who was our main waitress and was really helpful. Most importantly, the food and drinks were excellent quality - good portions and decent prices too. One of the best places I’ve eaten in a long time :)

Went on a Friday night. They managed to find us bar seats. Service was impeccable. Food was lovely.

Over priced slow service service was a shamble very slow and disjointed. The description on the menu does not match the food served average at best

Went for a work leaving do. For now for medical reasons I have to be a fussy eater so I called a day in advance to check what was possible. Nothing was too much trouble, all was noted down and I didn't have to ask on the night. All was well in hand. And the food was superb! It has a bit of a trendy warehouse vibe, but it's comfortable and welcoming.

Excellent food and relaxed service. There is a fabulous selection of flavoursome, well-cooked dishes. A little slow between starters and main course but otherwise very attentive and friendly.

One of the best restaurants I’ve been to ever! The place is beautiful and the service was amazing, José was super friendly and helpful! Our food was so delicious but everything coming out of the kitchen looked amazing! Some dishes on the pricier side but well worth the money as everything is fresh and tasty. Highly recommend!!!

Beautiful food. Service excellent and atmosphere was awesome. We had a very large party and were all eating at the same time. Fabulous will definitely recommend and will definitely come again. Brilliant!

Really enjoyed a lunch here with friends on a sunny day in August 2024. Great food - and a pretty extensive menu, so there are dishes to suit a range of tastes and appetites. Service was prompt and friendly. Lots to like - we’d definitely return.
