This place is a godsend for parents looking to entertain little ones on a wet day. Lots of toys, soft blocks to climb, and hot coffee for parents! I have a 3 yr and 1 yr old - and they were both happy for a good hour and a half.

Great place with lots of toys for children to play with, round the corner is a seating area (with TV monitor to see the play area) I had a delicious toasted (vegan) cheese sandwich which came with salad and my child had a lunch box which came with (vegan) cheese sandwiches, crisp, drink, and snack in a little box with colour pencils to colour it in, as my little one didn't finish and wee needed to leave we were given a little sandwich bag to put the sandwiches in and keep them fresh. Entry is free and food is reasonably priced, well worth a visit.

Stopped for a cream tea which the wife enjoyed. Usual 2 scones provided with jam and clotted cream and a good pot of tea. They normally do Gluten Free cream tea but due to high demand had sold out of GF scones. They were however able to supply GF cheese scones so I had a savoury version of cream tea, 2 GF cheese scones, a tomato chutney and a cream cheese. Was very nice and would recommend.

A very peaceful place to stay, in the centre of Newport, conveniently located, close to the bus station and to restaurants. Charming interiors, with a lot of character. Spacious, comfortable and clean room. Breakfast is served, and freshly prepared after the order is made. Hostess is friendly and Staff polite. We will definitely stay there again!

Good size meals, especially breakfasts. Good cuppa, no frills just true value, friendly staff. I would visit again and recommend this café.

Stopped here for tea and we're so glad we did. Loose leaf tea in a china tea pot (not one of those awful stainless steel ones that dribbles all over the table), a tea strainer, china cups and saucers and a china milk jug - this is how tea should be served. The Bakewell slice and chocolate cake were both delicious and the portions very generous. The friendly welcome and engaging staff added to the enjoyment. Looking forward to the next visit.
